« Three busses. One hour to get to the hotel. Not exactly in CDG: expensive taxi required in the morning... »

If you believe this hotel is in CDG you are wrong. The Mercure Convention is in CDG. To get the free bus; you go to a windy platform with no information screen in operation (Windows cannot display the page...). You see a bus with Mercure written on it, you get inside after 20 minutes of waiting...and you discover that this is not your hotel...You take back another bus after waiting 20 min back to the platform. Wait for another bus...20 minutes + 10 minutes trip...And you will see that this CDG hotel is not in CDG but in Roissy en France...Another customer was in the exact opposite case. But; for him a dedicated new bus has been made available...There are 1st class and second class customers... ah....and early morning there is no bus. Take a pre-booked taxi (more than 25 EUR)... Conclusion: if you need a hotel convenient near your planes go to Sheraton (a little more expensive but service is guaranteed) or a Formule 1 (cheaper but at least as convenient)... And despite complaint message on Fidelity Program web site no response what soever... Why did I enroll?

Great service, clean room. Small menu at the restaurant and the AC was not working in the room. Having only a comforter to sleep under and not sheets & blanket it was either too hot under or too cold outside of it. I had to open the window to get some fresh air in the room. I think it's the problem in France as they think the AC is not necessary when the weather gets cool outside but in that case, you should get back to old fashion sheets & blankets on the bed to give the guest a way to adjust his comfort while sleeping

We choose Mercure CDG Roissy because it is quiet and has a good French restaurant,not the usual inferior Buffett . You get real,traditional French food not pseudo international fare. Besides good food we get good service and the atmosphere of a small French village no pretensions . They have upgraded the rooms and bathrooms , especially the shower so one no longer has to clumb into a tub, a very dangerous maneuver.

Very clean and comfortable . Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bartender was more than happy to make our drink the way we wanted it. Staff made dinner reservations at the restaurant of our choice for us.

Front desk service was excellent. Breakfast was very good. However, We were not allowed to use the dining room for dinner as a "group" had it reserved. We felt like second class guests. The rooms were very hot and none of the climate controls seemed to work in any of the 4 rooms we had rented. We had to open windows for ventilation... not a great thing at any airport hotel.

We have had many stays at Mercure hotels in the past and have a high regard for this hotel group. Thus, we had high expections for this stay. The room and the breakfast we had both mornings were very good and met our expectations but we were disappointed with the response to two problems we had. First, our room was very hot and we were unable to cool it down sufficiently for a comfortable sleep. We we told that the AC had been switched off for the winter (winter in September??) but we were assured twice that a technician would come and fix the problem. No one came. Our other problem concerned our TV reception. Our TV would not play two channels that we were supposed to receive. Again we were told someone would come to fix the problem and again no one came. Overall these problems were relatively minor but they were a disappointment in context with our previous stays at Mercure hotels.

Welcome was very satisfying and professional. Room (441) set up was satisfying, but hot. I asked receptionist, on duty to set up the air conditioner, she replied she could only moved us to another room (401) but it was as hot as the previous one. The only thing she could do is to bring us a fan. My wife and I did not sleep well as the room was cooler but still hot. Next day I was told it normal air conditioner set up for winter time.

The only drawback was that the room we were allocated was a smoking room, I do not recall seeing the option when we booked on the web but coming from a country where all hotels are non smoking I did not think about it. Otherwise the staff and facilities were good.

« Overall good stay, some minor points »

Quick checkin: expected a sms on day of arrival: didn't receive it. Didn't receive card for free drink (accor status Platinum). Had to ask for it. Room: quite OK, clean. Minibar was not refiiled after first night. Bathroom: impossible to have a shower without drowning the complete floor! Hairdryer hardly producing hot air. Breakfast: toaster shoukld really be replaced! Very nice coffee. Check out: had to leave for private reasons one day earlier: the last - not used - night was cashed back on my creditcard: really very kind.

As a family of 5, we rented two rooms. 1.) All of the rooms seem to have had the shower glass installed incorrectly so that water does not stay within the shower and gets the bathroom wet. 2.) The soap dispenser that was supposed to be attached to the shower wall was on the floor of the shower and when we put it back up, it fell again. 3.) Mold in the bathroom. 4.) Air-conditioning wasn't working in one room, worked fine in the second room. When I brought this up to the reception staff, I was told the hotel isn't air-conditioned. That is extremely condescending when a.) one room obviously is air-conditioned, b.) the website says the hotel is air-conditioned, c.) the brochure at the front desk says the hotel is air-conditioned. We were given two fans. Our room was uncomfortable and stuffy. 5.) The drapes were broken and didn't close properly. 6.) The window frame was cracked and the wall near the window was crumbling.

I liked the room, it was clean - the check in and check out process was easy, receptionists were nice. I suggest to have a lower price option or breakfast.

We chose the hotel because it was close to the airport. It is a good location and the room(s) were clean. The service was good. The bathtub layout was poor and it was difficult to take a shower without getting water all over the floor.

This is my 5th or 6th time staying at the hotel prior to a next-day flight. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The WiFi is reliable. The outdoor dinner dining experience is just wonderful. And the front desk people accommodate my needs so well.

This is my go-to hotel when leaving Paris from CDG. Comfortable rooms, good WiFi, beautiful outdoor evening dining, excellent service both in dining areas and at the front desk, all at a reasonable price.
