The Mercure had the central location I wanted but is also a fun and modern hotel with great food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever experienced at a hotel.

Hotel was in good shape but the check in process was slow and had issues with credit card charges. The "privilege" room is an upscale at point of check in which is not what I would expect for this higher level of service hotel. Despite getting a "privilege" room the hot water heater broke on my 3rd day and so I had to shower in the sauna in the basement. The hotel also does not include breakfast with the "privilege" room which is odd when you are paying for the higher level service.

I'm staying in this hotel every week for more than a year. Generally speaking, it's a good place to stay. But since the summer time the service at the bar and restaurant is getting worst. We are asked to book a table in advance to eat salads. It takes a while to be served and we don't get the feeling to be the customers. Additionnaly to that, the bad news of the week was to have a cold shower the last day. This is simply not acceptable in a Mercure hotel.

Dear Victor V, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. The experience you described in our bar causes us deep concern. It does not represent the quality of service we strive for at our hotel. Especially for you as a loyal guest, we want you to feel welcome in our hotel. Since a couple of months we have a new concept in our bar. Therefore there has been some miscommunication between our bar and kitchen. We are aware of the fact that there were some problems in de beginning. We are very sorry for the inconvenience that it caused, but currently we have all the focus we need and learned a lot from the above situation. Our general manager would like to apologize in person to you during your next stay. Please contact our reception if you would like to have a word with him. During your stay on the 13th of July, we had a problem with the boiler on the 3rd floor. My colleague from the technical department took care of it immediately and around 08:00 the problem was solved. We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this has occurred, unfortunately this problem was not in our hands. We are happy to read that you describe that our hotel is a good place to stay. The aim of Mercure is to deliver a consistency in all the hotels with in every hotel a local touch. Please be informed that we highly value your feedback as this helps us to continuously improve. « We would definitely recommend staying here, because it was absolutely lovely »

I stayed here for only one night with my mother. The room was tidy (not very big), the personnel very kind and the facilities were wonderful. It is not a ten because we did needed to wait for a while. However, the lovely receptionist offered us a drink for the wait. It has a great location and lovely sauna facilities. Next time, we will absolutely come here again.

Friendly staff, clean room, complete breakfast: very pleasant stay! We were extremely impressed with how well the windows managed to block out literally all of the sounds from outside. We slept great despite being right in the middle of Tilburg's nightlife.

Everything was perfect, except that I thought breakfast was too expensive (or the room was; anyway, the total sum seemed too much to me) so I didn't take it and ate outside, and only at 8 some of the bakeries opened. I did take the coffee in the hotel cafe and it was really good, delicious. I would have liked to eat in the hotel, but it was really to much. I saved 14-15 euros per day by having only the perfect coffee at the hotel and breakfast at the nearby bakeries, which were full of interesting Dutch baked goods.

The people at the Mercure were really nice. Mark was exceptional, as he went out of his way to make my stay great. Great work and thank you Mark! Although the people and food were good, the hotel stay was not very good. I feel the most important part about staying in a hotel can be judged by the way I wake up in the morning. I was tired everyday I woke up. The bed is not very comfortable and the pillows are really hard. My neck hurt every morning when I woke up. The sheets are very rough and the new towels do not smell very clean. The rooms are nice but the carpets are very dirty. The elevator was broken one day, the hot water was turned off but no impact to me as I was at work, but when I got back to the hotel there was still not much hot water. The next morning, there was no hot water and I had to call the front desk. They offered to move me rooms which was nice, but no hotel should be without hot water. That is just very basic to go without. Overall, i gave my stay a 7 because of the very nice people who work there. But the hotel should try to improve the basic stuff like the bed and sheets and towels and pillows. If that was good, i would give a 9 or 10.

At all times staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help us. The hotel was clean with all public areas well presented and comfortable. Our room was well provided with comfortable chairs and the beds were comfortable. The double glazing ensured a quiet and comfortable night with efficient air conditioning despite being in the centre of a busy town.
