« Disappointing »

1/ Hot water took 12 minutes to come. 2/ Bed sheet stained (picture given to reception) 3/ Air conditioning not working. As a result of very warm room we did not sleep the whole night Experience so bad that manager did not charge us for the night.

« Staying at the Mercure Omaha Beach is like coming back home »

I have the pleasure of doing business in Normandy and coming to the Mercure is a bit like coming home. The room has all that I need and the mattress is comfortable. The staff is always welcoming and I start my morning with a wonderful and varied breakfast.

We stayed 4 nights and enjoyd the green all around us.everybody was extremly helpful and kind. The rooms seem dated and the shower-glasswall is too short,,,,difficult to not spray the whole bathroom. Our room was a 2 story place. Looking forward to a little workout after a long drive, we were very disapointed to see 4 old cardio machines and one very old bench........i dont think you can call this a ''fitness' by any means. Also ''spa'' is way too big of a description for the small space with wooden hard beds and a steam and sauna. However the massage lady Emanuel was ecxeptionally wonderful and did a total miracle with both of our bodies. We were lucky to have 2 times her services.

I found as always with this hotel the facilities to be excellent. The location is ideal for me to cover the Normandy Beaches. Having a comfortable environment to return after a days activities is satisfactory. The rooms are pleasant and very 'airy' in feel. The facilities in the room are of a very high standard. The bed being very comfortable, ensuring a good sleep. The food is always well prepared and presented. The staff being friendly, helpful and always welcoming. When visit this region, this hotel is always my first choice. I sometime change my itinerary so as too stay here.

« It was excellent, really nice. Good food! »

Nice people, good atmosphere, very relaxing , nice golf course! Great food and wines , we will come back for sure. Two things to improve: the state of the pool; it needs minor repair work; and the scrambled eggs, but then I'm picky when it comes to those!!! Many thanks !

« Good stay in good touristic environment »

Overall good. reception employees were excellent and very customer friendly. Dinner at restaurant was far below expectations and price/value was not good at all. Quality of fish was for main dish was not good as well for myself as my wife.

« OK, but nothing more »

• Breakfast was good, glasses/cups were not always that clean (even when just coming out of the dishwasher) • Diner was bad for the kids: no variation, unhealthy (fries every day! no vegetables!) that was absolutely not of this day and age. • Diner for the parents: ok, but here too: not much variation in sidedish (4 evenings the same potato-thing) and not enough vegetables. • At one point, we asked for vegetables - but the stuff we got was completely sub-par. • Location is good • Staff was super-friendly and helpful. Great! • Swimming pool needs repairing • Cleanliness of the duplex room was ok (especially the bathroom), though some parts hadn't been dusted in ages!

« Very comfortable and enjoyable stay although the hotel is looking tired and the restaurant was Expensive. »

It was pleasant and the staff were nice however it is necessary to spend some money on the appearance of the pool and the public areas. We were not offered an evening menu du jour in the restaurant which made the food very expensive for a family of six and the lunch terrace closed too early! We therefore had to go outside the hotel to eat!

« A comfortable stay in a good location »

We have stayed in this hotel several times and enjoyed our stay. The Albatros seems to have improved this year, both the meal and the service, which added to the enjoyment of our stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms, although comfortable, are beginning to look a little tired, especially the bathrooms, so we look forward to some renovation before too long. Overall, this was an ideal stop on our way to Brittany.

« Service and room below our expectations. »

The welcome at the front desk was good, however our room was disappointing. As soon as we opened the door to the room all 4 of our family members noticed a bad smell inside. We established where it was coming from (around the safe area) and reported it to a member of staff on reception. She accompanied us the room and told us she smelled nothing bad and was very dismissive and curt saying that we should 'open a window' as a solution. The safe was locked (and likely had been for some time) so we asked if it could be opened and cleaned. Shortly after cleaners arrived and had a quick wipe around. I asked if the safe could be opened so the member of staff from reception came with the master key. When the safe was finally opened there was a stench from inside. We had to take measures to clean the inside ourselves as the member of staff from reception simply sprayed inside once and then left without speaking. This was an extremely poor level of service, and not what we expected. We were made to feel uncomfortable for asking for this problem to be dealt with when the hotel staff.There was no apology from the hotel staff and we felt that they were being disingenuous by not accepting that there was a problem.

« lovely hotel with excellent facilities »

Lovely hotel with really good facilities, especially the pool area. Comfortable rooms, we were on the ground floor, the only drawback of that was there were tables on the patio outside our room being used by guests at the hotel bar and their talking late into the evening was a bit noisy

« Good place to stay to visit places around »

Room was ok but ground floor near the stairs, for a “privilège”, i was expecting a better room. Breakfast was ok but nothing exceptional. At departure, we were charged with 2 green fees while we didn’t step foot on the green. Seems like other guests had put their fees on our room. We got reimbursed eventually. I would strongly suggest you find a better way to ensure your guest paid what they actually use/do. It wasn’t fair to us having to deal with this extra charge, explain it wasn’t us and ask for reimbursement.

« Very nice hotel in a beautiful area »

It is a hotel at at golf ressort, and it is located nicely close to a beautiful small village at the water front , where you really can see the tides in norther France. The hotel was really nice, quiet and clean and with friendly english speaking staff. Just beautiful!! It is really recommendable!
