Friendly people, good reception, very good restaurant (even if not a lot of choice on the menu), very good breakfast. Only negative point are the rooms: old, they start to show that time has passed and hotel should need a bit of refreshment

« Bad sleep quality because of noise »

I slept horrible because of noise issues in the hotel. There was a loading dock for truck deliveries beneath our window. The deliveries started very early in the morning (even on a saturday), the driver had the engine running and the unloading procedure for the goods/linen (?) was very noisy. I had fallen asleep late because of insomnia and was awoken MUCH earlier than I'd have wished to. I talked to the staff at reception who said they knew about the issue, customers apparently complained about this all the time.

Hotel was fine and staff very helpful but overall cost of stay for two nights very expensive. The price of a beer was double anywhere else. €4.80 compared to €2.80. Why is this?

« Ok for a short stay but not much else. »

On positive side good parking. On negative side breakfast very expensive, bedrooms dated. Air con in bedroom did not work but most worrying the bedroom was dirty. And why wallpaper a toilet, how can you clean?

« Great staff but not enough of them »

I realise that the tax regime and the maximum hours of employment makes running a hotel difficult , but your hotel is understaffed and the menu boring. However the staff that you do have were more than helpful and helped me enormously when I realised that Ihad left my clothes carrier, full of my clothes, behind and arranged for them to be forwarded to me. Excellent service. But they do need help. To see the bartender trying to serve drinks, take orders for dine, deliver meals to room and serve at table was sad. Your hotels used to be so dependently good. But you cannot do it on a shoestring Thanks to Anthonyand his staff RJP

On first entering the doors we were greeted by friendly reception. They spoke very good English and nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean. Breakfast was a great choice. Very good from start to finish.

We recently arrived really late, tired and hungry at Angers to be greeted by a warm, sympathetic reception who quickly sorted out our confusing booking confirmation and provided a delectable light snack which suited really well. A good night's sleep.

« Disappointing, not to usual high standards »

The first room smelt of smoke and only had one robe. Second room was not prepared for visitors. Breakfast had to wait for a long time for a refresh of the milk. Cold meats were in slow supply. Front of house staff were good and very professional.

« Quiet option when passing through »

Too far from the centre to be a good option for tourists. Fairly easy to access from freeway network, right beside a shopping centre. It was quiet but far from full so hard to judge. Restaurant closes some nights so check if you wish to use it. An older property that is probably close to refurbishment time.

« Comfortable stay, disappointing food. »

This time the stay was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. I ate in the restaurant which was a little disappointing. We were sat outside and made to watch football on a big screen as we were told there was no option to sit inside. The starter was fine, the main was burnt and the dessert was ok. The waiter was friendly but when I complained about my burnt main he apologised and offered no solution. I had to eat it and pay for the privilege. On check out, the reception tried to charge me for my 'free' welcome drink and for a breakfast I did not have.

I booked a Superior room which I have to say was far from Superior. The hotel is quite dated in public areas and still uses actual keys for room access. Sound proofing is poor in the rooms and I knew without question when the neighbours went to the toilet. Although small (for a Superior room) the room was actually quite nice except for the industrial woodchip walls and the big zip joining the two beds together to make a King. I was on my own but this would be very annoying for a couple. The toilet area was very poor with peeling wallpaper and stained door frames. Of the two lights in the bathroom, only one worked. I reported this to the reception staff and on return for my second night, it was still not working. It was nice to have a kettle in the room for tea, but only a very small coffee cream was given to make the tea. The cups were so small that they just about fit the tea bag in. The food from Room service was nice albeit small portions for the price. The staff were friendly except in the bar. When I went for my welcome drink, the barman gave me a beer with half beer and half bubbles. He almost threw it at me causing a lot of it to spill over with no apology or any other emotion. Finally, when it came to check out, the systems were down so the reception staff took my Credit Card details to check me out after they rebooted. They charged me for Breakfast for two days that I did not eat. I am now struggling to get the money back from them. They asked for my bank details, which I provided, they replied with 'no, we need your bank details'. Not helpful at all! Stress levels increasing! I will be returning to this area for work on a regular basis, but I will not be staying here again!

Be assured we take good note of every of your remarks in order to improve what needs to be. Your trust needs to be rewarded by services up to your wishes and that was not the case. That's why, every services has been alerted to the inconveniences you've been through because what you describe don't have to happen again ! We met a computing issue at your check out, that's true. It doesn't happen very often fortunately but it can happens. That's the reason why we propose you to send the bill by e-mail and charge you credit card number in order to prevent waiting. You accepted and we thank you for that. This kind of issue are not really pleasant. Indeed, 2 breakfasts were charged by mistake. We immediatly inform you about that and asked you documents needed to make refund as soon as possible. Bank details is the only document we need and we just tryed to explain you what we meant without spitefulness. We do our best so the issue can be resolved quickly.
