My boyfriend and I wanted to beat the Frankfurt heat and decided to spend Friday at the Mercure because we wanted a bedroom with AC, so I have booked a room through the app. At the time of arrival I have asked an employee (Mr. Mohmed) to print the bill with my boyfriends name; apparently this was a very big task because it took him over 40 minutes to do so. Mrs. Villich, the manager in the reception, saw that his colleague had huge difficulties doing this but decided not to interfere despite no other customers being there. Since I am a silver customer I received one free drink for free. The voucher says in printed bold letters that it is valid for the people staying in the room but at the restaurant they did not want to honor the voucher with a drink for my boyfriend. I had to go and talk to the reception. When Mrs. Villich saw me coming she screamed 'schon wieder' which is a very rude way to say that you are annoyed by a person you do not want to see. So I have answered yes, 'schon wieder'. I explained about the voucher and in a condescending way she said that the rules of the vouchers have changed, that it does not matter what is written there it is only for one person but that she would do an exception for me. Of course this also took quite some time to sort out between the reception and the restaurant, people disorganized coming back and forth in stress just for a courtesy drink! Really? I wonder what would the Verbraucherschutz would say about misleading printed information (in German and English) in the vouchers. Anyway, since we liked our room and slept well and we liked our breakfast, I had booked an extra night at the hotel (from Saturday to Sunday) but in the hassle I forgot to include the breakfast. I have asked Mrs. Villich if she could do this for me and if I could get the same rate. Visibly annoyed and unfriendly, she answered that I had very complicated requests (?) and that in her 10 years working there nobody had asked that but that if I wanted to she could call her manager. I have answered that I did not have complicated requests but apparently the new personnel at the reception were not qualified enough to print a bill or understand what is printed in their own vouchers, and that a simply 'no, it is not possible' would have sufficed. That she did not need to be rude. My boyfriend was really upset about the whole thing so we decided not to book the breakfast again. The next morning, I have asked if I could do a late check out (one hour later, so 13:00 hours instead of midday). The answer from the lady at the reception (Mrs. Behle) was very nice and told me that as a silver customer that was not a problem. At 12:30 my phone rang twice - it was Mr. Mohmed. He asked when were we going to vacate the room. I have answered that at 13:00 hrs. Ten minutes later, I was called again by Mr. Mohmed and asked when would I vacate the room. I have answered in both English and German 13:00 hours. By the time I came to the reception, Mrs. Behle looked surprised and said that we were really fast in leaving the room. My answer was how could we not, when we were practically rushed out of our room? I have asked Mrs. Behle to please print the bill with my boyfriend's name and it was done in 3 minutes. She was nice, professional and friendly, but above all very empathetic. Since I have practically lived in your hotel back in 2017 it was absolutely appalling how the quality of service has deteriorated so much. For my holidays this year (Paris, Madrid, London and Vienna) I have chosen to stay at the Accor Family hotels but after the very condescending treatment we have received here, I doubt we will be staying again at the Mercure in the Voltastrasse. I can only hope that if Mrs. Villich is right, and she has been working for over 10 years there, that she will eventually will soon be trained on how to treat customers with respect and empathy. Besides, printing a bill is not a 'complicated request' (maybe Mrs. Behle can teach them how to do it in 3 minutes). Oh wait, I did have a complicated request, since the AC was not working in the original room that I have booked, I requested a room with a bathtub and they told me that I needed to upgrade it, so I have paid 20 euros extra. Air conditioning was not providing any cool air into our 4 rooms at 3rd floor. Thermostat did not have any effect on the temperature and fan speed change only increased air speed. Even the hall way was cooler than our rooms, all of us had trouble getting rest at night. The receptionist did offer to move us to the other hotel across the street after our first night but we did not have enough time in our shcedule for that. She did mention that air conditioning is not working at night but we did not realise that it was not working at all. Being able to sleep well is the most important thing in a hotel and this time it was not possible.

The room is dark, there's no bottled water, breakfast is very poor quality, cosmetics in the bathroom are very limited (hand soap and shower gel only) and poor quality. In general I did not like the hotel at all.

The hotel met the expectations. I am aware of the situation there (2 hourses) and to be honest: I do not like this because getting all the belongings to the next building is quite annoying. Also when i was there there was some issue with water in the entire entrace of my room. Luckily the reception staff helped me out with a new dry room quick and i could relocate again. The breakfast in the offsite building is for this price with potential to improve (new fresh things like pancakes/eggs/waffles), fresh fruits, bowls with bircher müsli/chia ect were missing for me. So nice to be here (again), but it will not be my favorite in frankfurt still.

Your aircon is non existant, just a very noisy fan So I had to sleep with the window open, but then kept awake by people drinking outside / beer garden. I had to call reception twice. Then in the morning I was woken up at 5am by the cleaners shifting furniture noisily, with the door to the beer garden open! Slept terribly, I will not choose your hotel when I return to Frankfurt for business.

The experience was very good, it was a bit odd to cross the road to get to the rooms from the reception but that's nothing that Mercure can control. Food in the restaurant was good, service was good.

Did not get a good rest at night. Room completely overheated. Probably an issue in the bathroom. No way to cool it down. Asked next morning - was promised that technicians would take care of it. Nothing happened. Very friendly waiter in the evening, when I realized nothing had changed - but there was nothing he could do about it.

We were there for a trade show and the hotel was wonderful. My room was a little warm as housekeeping closed my windows everyday. Also, Tuesday evening and the liquor options we limited.
