Spaceful room and facilities, good and very friendly service, comfortable bed, breakfast not extraordinary but definitely OK. Evening glass of wine in the atrium was an unexpected bonus. It is obvious this hotel has been offering hospitality to the travellers for some time, it has a specific charm, I would definitely come back. Negatives: windows cannot be opened, nespresso machine is fine but not useful in case you prefer tea.

The Hotel was not in a good location, and the bathroom was unacceptably small. Staff were good, except for one of the male Receptionists who wrongly advised where the shopping precinct was. We wasted 2 hours searching for the shops, only to find it was in the opposite direction to what he had indicated on the map. This was frustrating and annoying, as we missed out altogether on the shops because they were closed on the following day (being a Sunday).

Dear JandJ74 Thank you very much for your detailed review. Great that you were happy with our staff, but I truly regret the fact that one of the Receptionist gave you wrong information. It also surprises me, because all of them are living in Zurich and know the City very well. Be assured that I will follow-up on this point with my Front Office Manager. Please note that a big shopping mall in the train main station is open also on Sundays. Unfortunately we could not convince you with our room and bathroom. I understand your concern and we already plan to refurbish our rooms for more convenience. I perceived the hotel like my home for a couple of days. The staff was so friendly and I felt like they knew me very well and knew my preferences and my wishes. The room was generous, large and harmonious and, QUIET (that s very important for me). The breakfast was a short festive moment of the day, with a warm environment and well cooked food.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the stay. Reception were welcoming and helpful, the room was comfortable and the proximity of the railway station was very useful. The tea making facilities and the nightly chocolate were also appreciated. Good value for Zurich as well.

The hotel rooms were outdated. The carpet in the rooms was worn and dirty. The breakfast buffet was good but very pricey if you had not prepaid for it.

Our hotel will soon be refurbished; I can assure you though that our carpet might have several stains but we do regular deep cleaning in our rooms along with the daily clean-up. On another note, our breakfast seems to have made a good impression on you and for that I am glad. We have put a lot of love and detail in our breakfast buffet for all guests. In regards to our prices they are competitive for the city of Zurich. Prices in Zurich are unfortunately generally considered quite high. However, we can only advise any traveler to book the breakfast in advance to receive a better rate including the breakfast. We hope you will visit us again, so we are able to serve you better. Room has no shower gel and body lotion. Tissue box is left with three sheets of paper. The housekeeping standard had dropped since I last stay there. These are the basic essential items and should not had missed out. Internet wifi is weak in general.

« Very clean and well orginized hotel, convenient location, friendly staff »

We spend 3 nights and really enjoyed with our stay. Nothing has disturbed to us. Moreover received very friendly approaches and city help from the staff. Breakfast was rather expensive so we neglect it; however I think it is the general problem of Zurich. I never been in such an expensive city.

The ease of access fro the Railway station was first class. A five minute walk. Accommodation was great with a mini suite. The breakfasts were excellent. The other location advantage was the ease of access to the old town facilities, restaurants etc

I call Reception to ask for knife for peel fruits at my room. He told me to take knife at 1st floor by myself. I am very disappointed with this service on five star hotel. It is so bad.
