We had no problems whatsoever that’s why we come back year after year. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and no matter what you ask they will try to help if they can. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

« Fantastic help from the front desk in helping me get my lost luggage back from the airline at CdeG airport! Oh, and a great hotel in a good location with a good breakfast. »

The front desk girls and guys went out of their way to help me get back my lost luggage from CdeG airport where I had arrived earlier that day (Sunday). The lost luggage section were not fluent in English, and having French-speaking people being able to act on my behalf was incredibly reassuring. Full marks to all, especially Remy, who kept trying to contact these ignorant, rude, lost luggage people who do not answer the phone, even when I was at breakfast. My room was clean, cool, and quiet and after a stressful day just what I needed!

We stopped over for the night on are way down south and the hotel is in a great location with secure parking close by and you get a discount off the price of the car park. Staff very helpful, room clean and tidy. Easy walking distance to the castle and other sites around the town. Recommend to all. Thanks for a great stay.

The room allocated smelled of cigarette smoke. I was moved to another room but it was 2 floors away from the room the rest of my family were in. The new room had a connecting door and as I was settling down to sleep the man in the next room tried to get in. He had opener his door and was rattling mine. I rang reception but was told it was not a problem as he could not open it. I was not reassured. The towels were very thin and there was no hand towel. I received an invoice by email showing a charge for breakfast although I had told reception when we arrived and when we left we did not want breakfast. I would not stay in this hotel again

The stay was spoilt from the start one of the rooms smelt like an ash tray so our party was split from rooms next to each other to being two floor apart this new room had a door tothe next room which in the night a man was trying to open your night staff did not even come up to the room to see that the two femail guests were safe l will not use you ever again

I booked two rooms together but one had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. I was given another room but our party was now 2 floors apart. The new room had a connecting door to the room next door and during the night the occupant of the other room started rattling my door. I shouted for him to stop but it started again a few minutes later. I rang reception who said there was nothing to worry about as nobody could open my door! I did not find this very re-assuring. There were only two towels for two people and I would have appreciated a hand towel as well. The bath towels were very thin. On leaving we checked out, confirming we had not had breakfast but an email was sent charging for breakfast. We had paid in advance and no extra money was taken from my credit card so I assume Accor Hotels realised their mistake but didn't bother to explain why they sent the invoice. On the whole it was a very disappointing stay and we were glad it was only for one night.

« Convenient and comfortable »

All Ibis hotels are fundamentally the same, so one knows what to expect. This one is better than most, as the rooms are a bit more spacious and have features that should be standard, such as 2 chairs and a more spacious bathroom. Well situated close to the centre of the town and plenty of parking in the square opposite.

Excellent central location within easy walking distance of all Caen’s attractions. Comfortable, clean hotel and friendly staff. Very convenient secure underground parking directly below the hotel. Tremendous weekly market right on the doorstep. Ideal hotel to round off a touring holiday, the ferry port at Ouistreham is only 15/20 minutes drive away.

Third time at the hotel. We like the location and the easy access and parking. The rooms are very basic but the staff pleasant and the breakfast very good.

Only satisfactory - not good. The reception staff ignored me for quite a while before eventually checking us in. The room was cramped. There were no hand towels, only bath towels. No waste bin in the bedroom - only a small one in the bathroom.

I spent two nights at this location. Very handy to the Normandy sights. They have parking too! Quick drive from the train station. There is also a laundromat practically across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful.

« The staff are welcoming, but I don’t sleep well in the beds at this hotel. »

The hotel staff are very welcoming. I know the manager and the excellent bar man, Emmanuel, so I do enjoy my regular visits to this hotel. On slightly more negative issues, I find the short connection time given to the internet is frustrating. It must surely be possible once a client has checked into the internet for his/her stay, for the system to recognise a returning guest? The thick duvet and thick mattress makes for a combination which is too hot in the summer. I also didn’t like the pillows.

Room are incredibly small . Price not competitive since there is no amenities at all. PLEASE ADD KETTLES in room and make it 4 pillows for 2 people. Breakfast is good
