Priority check in was fabulous! Upgraded room, when I made booking online tried to get the $1 breakfast that was advertised but couldn't. Asked at check in if we could get it, was told no only a certain amount are given out, So why keep advertising? Outrageous price for car park, $59 overnight, as we paid with credit card there was a surcharge on that! Hotel has had a great makeover, but need to look at pool area, quite run down, and the pool was full of leaves.

« Comfortable stay but a couple things. »

The usual standard is very high however a couple of things I noted. The breakfast eggs and bacon were cold and I turned up at 6:45am. I had to order an omelette to get some warm eggs. I also had trouble streaming netflix and had to change to my 4G link. The wifi internet connection seemed to be saturated and it was not possible to get a consistent speed to watch netflix.

« Good stay ...but »

Our stay at the Novotel was very good - as always. However, when checking in I booked another 2 nights in the following week - all good but then a few hours later a phone call to say that the quoted price was incorrect and they new price was almost double the original! I accepted, then recived an email saying my credit card had been disconnected from th booking. When checking out and confirming i found that I had 2 rooms booked, cancelled one booking then received a phone call checking that I really wanted only one room. I have since cancelled all bookings and booked at another hotel with a better price. The front desk staff are usually super efficient, perhaps it was just an off day?

Hotel was great, checking in/out was nice and easy with online check in and key drop off. Room was clean and tidy and as the team working were all very friendly. Hotel was in a central location.

Not wanting to do harm to anybody or putting this in the glitch or whatever but i politely ask for a glass of ice and she repeatedly said "may i ask a glass of ice PLEASE" at first i did not understand like i was confused why is she repeating my question and decided to not give me a glass of ice. "Oh well" i shrugged it off and ask for a glass of ice from a different server but in a different way asking where can i get ice and she said that she will get it for me and i thanked her. I re-evaluated myself and realized that i did not say please and in my ignorant brain i thought that i did it politely and apparently not. I just felt bad but at the same time why would she do that, am i not the guest? Am i her child that she has to scold and fix my way of speaking? I realized of what i have done and at the wronged but at the same time i am the guest but i guess we have a totally different culture. I feel like both of us are in the wronged beacuse I have experienced way much worse guests in the service industry. I am just giving a friendly advice/story to give a feedback to improve from a good service to a better one (not that there is anything wrong, maybe she was having a bad day). I greatly appreciate for the lovely stay at Novotel!

From the first phone call from Andrew each time I am driving from Orange, through to the amazing staff that greet and look after you at the front desk, this is such a wonderful place to stay. I have many meetings in Sydney and I now always choose to stay with you and just walk to wherever the meeting may be. the level of care, food service, little extras and superb location, make it a joy to stay in Sydney

Great stay, love the NDH. Nice room, upgraded to harbour view. I appreciate the small touches for regular guests. Dinner sensational. The pillows are truly awful, and far far too big. My other hotel of choice is Holiday Inn, and they give guests four pillows, 2 x soft and 2 x firm, clearly labelled via embroidery. Sad to say the pillows are actually impacting my decision to book at this hotel even though I am staying again next week for a conference located close by. I will be asking reception for an alternate pillow to the default pillow mountains provided.

The personnel were lovely. Breakfasts were excellent (the pastries/breads need work, but not really a concern of mine). Would be nice to have laundry facilities on site, but still not a deal-breaker at all. The room was wonderful. The view was amazing.
