We stay at the Novotel whenever we are in Sydney, just a couple of minutes walk from Darling Harbour and about a 10 minute walk to the City Centre, plenty of restaurants surrounding the Hotel, we had dinner at the hotel which was superb, could not fault food, wine or service, a big plus for all, full breakfast in the morning was excellent as usual,

We were extremely happy with the staff on check in. Amanda was extremely helpful & went above & beyond in making us feel welcome, in particular interacting with my 6yo son. The room was amazing with a fantastic view & the location was perfect for our needs in Sydney. Breakfast was delicious & great variety. The other staff we had contact with were happy, helpful & accomodating. It was nice to have a swim in the pool. We appreciated the 11am checkout. Great night away & we would totally recommend this hotel.

Paid AUD3000 for NYE stay, over 4 nights and was treated to the worst service ever. Rude response from Housekeeping when asked for bedroom slippers on our arrival and consolation was the receptionist who found my family 3 pairs of bedroom slippers the following morning. Used glasses, plates and utensils were left behind when the room was made up - clearly, the beds were just made and towels replaced in the bathroom - while everything else was left behind, including litter on the floor apart from the unwashed utensils, etc. They said that they wouldn't touch glasses if they were filled so I told them to go take a look - they were all empty!! The free water bottles were not replaced each night, only on 1 night and when we called for refill 3x, they just kept saying yes but never did. Some housekeeping people even said "that's not our job, that's the bar people." So we would attempt to fill water bottles in the lobby but those dispensers would always run out. So yeah, that isn't all of it yet but you get the picture. They couldn't handle the volume of the holidays so why book more?

The location of the hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean. The reception staff are friendly. Only problem the toilet did not flush properly. We had drinks in the bar area and unfortunately the tables were not cleaned up. There were empty glasses and food left on the tables. Really enjoyed the complimentary homemade lemonade, it was refreshing on the hot day we were there.

It was great and would definitely stay again. Very polite and friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. All were helpful and our room was kept clean all the time and the restaurant was wonderful. We did have a few minor problems during our 7 night stay - • on day 6 our room cards stopped working and we had to get them fixed. • the chair in the room had a badly wonky leg which we all avoided sitting on. • the remote batteries for the tv weren't working but were fixed quickly when I asked and the remote returned to our room.

Overall the hotel was good. Rooms clean and overall hotel clean. Room service food was good. Areas could be improved on for 9 days we stayed the cafe on the 1st floor was never open which was a shame to sit and have or grap a coffee have toast for breakfast would have been nice. Breakfast in the hotel was expensive fir 3 of you especially if all you want is cereal and toast. The pool and terrace area could be improved no where near enough sun beds despite having loads of terrace outside the pool area which could be utilised abd some kind of bar service. Our room overlooked the Sofitel pool and there area looked so much more inviting and their bar manned until early evening

We had a great stay. Very impressed with restaurant. Fantastic food and service and loved the movie room with popcorn for the kids while we finished our meal in peace! The bathroom was tired. Mouldy and cracked tiles so a bit disappointed about that. Also the lifts were glitchy, the room keys didn’t work very well in the lift which meant that we were riding up and down the lift quite a bit before we could get to our floor.

« As usual the service (front desk, restaurant and house keeping) were of a very high standard. »

As always when i stay at the Accor Hotels i always leave with sence that i mattered to the hotel staff. i travel every second week for work and have done so for 12 years and i have used Accor for 11 of those years, why because the hotels are clean, comfortable and the staff always make me feel welcome. On this trip i had my family with me and the two grand kids though it was an extension of their holiday. Great experience and the restaurant staff treated my wife and gran kids very well as did the front desk staff.
