« Very unprofessional »

I was supposed to checkin on 3rd Nov at 2 pm, I had my convocation at 1:30( reporting time) at INCC.and I was travelling from Canberra with family to attend this important event in my life. The room was not ready and I was handed over gymnasium keys and was advised to get ready in the toilet. This was very appalling and disgusting the lady was not even applogetic. However next day when I was raised with front desk again, they offered an apology and waved off my car park fee. Being a professional General practitioner who travel frequently had some bad experiences but this was disgusting. I might not check with you again or recommend any of my friends, family and colleagues.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. As we guarantee our guests a 2pm check-in, sending our guest to a bathroom to change is unacceptable and this should not have been a solution to an issue that was ours. I do understand the parking fee was waved,. however this does not waive the underlying issue of the room not being available at the time we have guaranteed. I have organised a refund of 50% of the accommodation, to apologise for not being able to provide you the product we promised on time. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Felt very welcome from beginning. All the staff were attentive and friendly. check in, housekeeping. We dined two nights in the restaurant service and food excellent. We were given an upgrade the room was comfortable and the view over Darling Harbour great. Overall the hotel has a very relaxing feel. We will definately be back.

Comfortable rooms with a great view looking over the harbour. A separate shower would have been great. After several unanswered calls for room service I decided to eat elsewhere.

Initially placed on Floor 8 some building works on 9 were very noisy. We were moved to 603 easily which was great. Breakfast delicious My daughter was Ill i was assisted with a doctor appt and conceirge even offered to collect scripts from Harbour side chemist if i needed as i was travelling alone with two of our children. We felt very safe, well looked after with our requests. Fantastic location for families. We will Stay again.

The stay this time was 5 nights. I received a room upgrade with view of Darling Harbour from the 8th floor, which was appreciated. The check-in and check-out experience was efficient. I enjoyed breakfast and dinner every day. Although I checked out on Friday morning, I returned Saturday evening for the dining experience with Lucas and the team. First class. Staff who recognised me from previous stays welcomed me back. This is a reflection of leadership and culture at Novotel/Accor. These little things make a great difference to the overall experience.

When I checked out, the staff told me will charge me 2 telephone calls However those two phone call were call to House keeping I think it is very rude to trying to charge me the phone call for making internal call within hotel. Dissatisfied about that

« Great hotel but found the car parking challenging »

We really enjoyed our stay in Darling harbour with lovely room and excellent service Great location for us close to Lyric theatre and easy walk to ferry terminal for trip to Opera House I spent a very frustrating hour trying to get out of the car park. Was only successful when I paid directly to Wilson’s Carparks. My costs were refunded promptly by Novotel customer service

Hotel and room OK but air conditioner very noisy. I had to turn it off in the night. I was very disappointed to find the dining room was closed for a function. Luckily I was dining elsewhere that night. I have had this happen at other Accor hotels - Mercure Goulburn. As a policy, Accor should always ensure that their hotel dining rooms are primarily for their in-house guests.

« Good but let down by some small details »

What a great location! The staff are also really nice too! Trouble is the phone in my room was not working so I couldnt not order room service or organise a wake up call... not good. and both times I have stayed, Breakfast at your breakfast bar has had rubbery dry eggs that have sat under the heat lamp for too long... Both these issues are minor things that are easily fixed, but do not make your hotel look good. Perhaps a little more attention to detail is needed?

I arrived very early (around 8am) and was very pleased to find that a room was available to me at this time, well before normal check in time. I stayed for three nights, and during this time, each staff member I engaged with was friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
