« Pleasant stay overall following intitial problems »

on arriving at my room late evening around 8pm, i found the room to be very cold and the window wide open, the room smelled very strongly of cigar smoke. I assume this had been done by the cleaners in the morning in an attempt to air the room. I requested a change of room as the smell was very unpleasent being a non-smoker. Reception changed my room and i had a pleasant stay after this. The cleaning staff should have reported this room to reception so that it was not allocated to a new guest, i am not sure why this room was still available in this condition?

« Ok - staff really nice and helpful but very little knowledge about gluten free food and very few options »

I spent 4 nights at the hotel on business. Hotel was good standard, clean etc. People extremely nice and tried to help I have to have gluten free food - normally we would have had dinner at local restaurants however due to snow weather conditions we stayed in the hotel. There were very few gluten free options available - I cannot eat chicken caesar salad all week! On the daily menu I tried a couple of options without sauce - but asked for potato however it was not forthcoming. had steak one night but it was very tough - so I could not eat it and just had few vegetables. Staff did not seem to understand what gluten free means - they looked blank! And did not know that for instance potatoes are normally gluten free. Much more training required and more careful thinking about menus. I had a dessert one evening that was deemed to be gluten free - it was inedible

Room 228 Jan6-20, very small room as compared to those rooms my colleagues stayed. The Hotel is clean and has all basic amenities but the breakfast is the worst, having to stay there for 15 days and live with that food is hell. No much of an option to choice from and for some of us who don't do porc then no sausage in our menu for 2 weeks. Some of my colleagues had to abstain from the breakfast only after 2 days of stay. I love baked tomatoes and potatoes but my experience with the one served at Mercure was not too good, most times it was served very cold. I don't like cold food though. The house keeping staffs are wonderful and very diligent, i met with them a couple of weekends and the are cheerful too.

« Excellent and Horrible at the same time »

The staff is excellent. The breakfast is excellent. The condition of the room includes pealing paint in the bathroom, broken mirror in the main room, electrical plugs hanging out of the wall with exposed wires into the wall. The room has no workable desk for doing any type of business. There is no room to setup a laptop. There are no chairs capable of using for work.

Located a very short walk from Massy TGV station and just 40 mins direct train from Charles de Galle airport. Really lovely and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and a great idea for working space. Fabulous bottle of Haut Medoc to help down a good dinner. Recommended.
