« Room and location OK, but poor room service »

Room was OK, although the shower head is very low. I ordered room service one evening, which took an hour for someone to answer the phone. Tried calling room service number, reception, manager on duty, but just got passed around until someone eventually answered.

« Satisfactory except for WIFI »

Huge coachload of tourists were in hotel overnight - prewarning for business guests would be helpful as the breakfast area was crowded and a struggle to seat/eat quickly to get to work on time (pre-warning would have meant one could shift wake up) My room did not have access to the WIFI - 431 - not sure if it was only due to the room location? It would have been helpful to be told on check in how the WIFI works in the hotel.

« The location is convenient. I would stay here again even though it is an average business hotel. »

Food is ok inhouse but it is a short walk to a few good restaurants. Location is great as it is a short walk to the Massy TGV train station. Parking underground for a fee or on the street overnight for free. Rooms are basic but fine. They could be a bit bigger. Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean.

« Food was a problem. »

I have significant food allergies. A week before arriving, I sent an email explaining my dietary requirements. These included a special breakfast, take-away lunch, and dinner. When I arrived, I also reviewed what I could eat with one of the restaurant staff. Unfortunately, even after all that preparation, the first morning (Tuesday) there was NO take-away lunch, and the breakfast was nothing more than cucumbers and tomatoes (no protein). The second day (Wed) was a bit better, had two meals, but both were using only the limited food items that the kitchen already had. By Thur/Fri, the breakfast/lunch were much improved and they clearly had ordered additional items. It is unfortunate, that my week advance email did not result in any preparation prior to my arrive. Also, when I arrived on Monday, I had lunch in the restaurant and it was duck and carrots (about the only thing I could eat on the menu). For dinner, I had to have the same thing. I also had the same thing on Tue and Thursday night....even though apparently they had ordered some new vegetable for lunch/breakfast, that did not translate to any flexibility for dinner. I did ask multiple times and explain my situation, but there was no flexibility. After the first Tuesday morning problems, I complained to the front desk. The response was nothing more than "the kitchen is very difficult!". The stay otherwise was fine. The food was far from ideal.

It is a pity that the staff was not able to find the charger that I forgot in my room. Indeed I came back to the hotel at 17.00 on 10th Jan and I was told that my charger was not in my room anymore.

« okay for one night on business »

I stayed one night for Business, where the Location was the Driver. And Location is really good. you can reach all the Massy settled companies easily and get in and out by the TGV or RER super convenient. As I came in late I used the Hotels Restaurant. Unlike other Mercur's this one was not satisfying me at all. Service wa sunfriendly and the food was put onto the plates carelessly. Room was all fine and clean.

Always good to be back at the Hôtel Mercure Paris Massy Gare TGV. As a gold member, I get a personal attention and it's like coming a known and warm place. The privilege room is cosy, warm and pampering. My only minus: I wish the breakfast had more fresh vegetables.

« Clean room, good food but dated decor »

The room was reasonably clean. Restaurant seems expensive (especially the breakfast - selection was limited) but cooked meals were good. The decor of the hotel feels dated and I notice e.g. broken tiles in the bathroom and ripped synthetic leather at the head board of the bed. The carpet was stained. Some of the lights in the room did not work.

Very high price: > €200 / night. For a hotel room in this price category I expect a 100% working bathroom. The shower was able to keep temperature - this is unacceptable. What about small shelter for people who want to have a smoke outside when it is raining? TV program sequence was not adjusted for international customers. Late hour bar experience. The responsible bar-keeper did not show up. Overall: you have room for improvement in small things, making the stay a "10" satisfaction experience.

Good experience for the stay overall. But the security problem is really a problem. There was a robber inside the Canteen of the hotel, who robbed a girl beside me during the breakfast time. However, there was no any actions or reactions for the staffs. It's terrible!
