« A Really Nice Novotel »

A great quality Novotel. We have stayed at this Hotel many times before and always our stay was excellent. The only minus point was that on departure I was asked to pay extra as I was told that the original price that I paid was incorrect, despite me having booked on Accor.com . I refused to pay the extra as I feel that the price I paid was correct. Disappointed with this. However, this is the first ever problem that I have incurred at this hotel Always excellent.

« Perfect for an overnight stay »

We stayed for one night on our way to the south of France, great welcome, hotel great and our daughters played in the outdoor pool in the afternoon. We ate in the restaurant, and food was really good. Room was hot, but might have been my inability to understand the air conditioning properly!

very busy probably due to a conference taking place parking good as we got there early not great standard of room compared with other Novotel hotels in the past, refurbishment required average evening meal, quite expensive free glass of wine appreciated as part of membership staff ok , but very limited English for many

« Tired bedroom and poor service experience »

Bedroom 105 is very scruffy and in need of renovation. Stained carpet, tired bathroom fittings and poor standard of decoration. Wanted to have after dinner coffee on the outside terrace but we were told to move as it was booked for a private party. Not a good start to our holiday in France.

« Nice room, shame about the Service and Food »

After travelling for 10 hours in the car, from the U.K. we arrived at 19.00, checked our bags into a lovely room, before heading to the bar for a Nice Refreshing Drink before Dinner. The Barman was busy with his till. He didn't notice me waiting patiently to order, a lady colleague arrived and Completely ignored me, preferring to help the Barman with his till! Sometime later we got served. At Dinner we had the Fixed price Menu. My wife's fish was okay, my steak was not rare, as requested, the French fries had been cooked for some time and were soggy, the meat was swimming in a sauce. Breakfast was good, but Fast Check out, didn't happen as the girl on reception didn't seem to know about it even when I showed her the email on my phone! A Colleague eventually helped her out!

« A stay to be forgotten and to remind me not to stay at this hotel again! »

It was a rather negative experience. No Wifi connection, despite the front desk lady kindly coming to my room to assist me with my Mac. Service in the restaurant for dinner mediocre at best as well as very slow and 'off hand'. The "Executive Room" should be cancelled as this is really a scam in comparison to Executive rooms in comparative hotel chains. To be charged for 2 breakfasts which we did no consume, and despite me complaining about this more than 24 hours ago to your hotel, I have not heard anything from your hotel about this as yet is beyond any level of acceptance. This Novotel really does rather damage the Novotel Brand and the good name of Accor in general. I did question at the reception the difference between an Executive and standard room, as well as the fact that I had no WIFI connection on my Mac, however the off hand (almost rude) manner in which the gentleman at the front desk answered me (at around 8PM on the 16/5), as well as his seemingly total disinterest in my none wifi connection (he offered to give me a telephone number I could contact ..... is that hospitality service????) has firmly made up my mind to never stay at the Novotel Clermont-Ferrand again.

Good size room, clean and comfy bed. Bathroom also a good size but didn't like the seperate small and tired toilet, also made of plastic felt cheap and not as clean - though I'm sure that it was let it down. Friendly efficient check-in staff and nice social areas if a little pricey on drinks.
