The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite near the centre of town. The breakfast was quite extensive and the food was good. The rooms were quite nice, very clean, and comfortable. Would visit again.

Good service, Warm welcome. Location is excellent for access to the centre of Aix. Enjoyed the restaurant. Temperature when we were staying at the hotel was more like a summer experience than a fall one. Hotel staff told us when we complained about the heat in our room, that the A/C had been turned off for the season; bad mistake. Room was well equipped but small by M Gallery standards. Worst feature which must be addressed was the vey poor , in fact often non-existent Wi-Fi service, a real impediment in this day and age.

I have stayed at Sofitel in California, Ny, Lyon Strasbourg and Dijon, This one was just okay. The location was good. the shower was beyond. awful There was no concierge and the front desk was not that familiar about restaurants or very basic tourist things. He actually suggested we go to the tourist bureau. We luckily had done out own research. i would go back to any of the other ones we have stayed at before but not this one.

The hotel was good I was deeply disappointed since the hotel staff didn’t do anything extra. I was expecting something more since I wrote a email and said again at the reception desk that it was my wife 40th birthday.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at the Roi Rene. The hotel has a wonderful location across the street from the old town, a tourist treasure trove. The room was spotless and very comfortable with lots of amenities. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I would stay at the Roi Rene again in a heartbeat.

Our sat was perfect The hotel has everything you need. My only complaint is the hotel needs to replace rugs. They are terribly stained and worn out. Other than that the hotel gets 5 stars from me.

Fantastic staff, perhaps one of the best hotels staff I've experienced. Hotel rooms and bathrooms looking a bit sad and could do with Redecorating. pool facilites are a bit bizarre, perhaps cramped is a better word.

This hotel is delightfully decorated ,very welcoming. The bedrooms are full of light and the beds are extremely comfortable. There are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and the service is excellent. The hotel is very good for people with reduced mobility, as my mother uses a walking frame she loved her spacious room and bathroom. I definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

We appreciated being able to have excellent access to Aix sights and restaurants while also being able to use our car for trips outside the city. The valet parking option was very helpful. Concierge and front desk staff were extremely welcoming and kind.

Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very good and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The carpets in the corridor leading to our bedroom on the third floor were very dirty and remained unswept during our stay of 4 nights. The twin beds in the room were not made up properly: I had to strip them each night and remake, from the mattress up. One trash can was not emptied one day. Tissues were finished after two days and not refilled. Dishes and glasses were left outside bedrooms.

The staff at the hotel are excellent: attentive, friendly, professional, courteous and helpful. Whilst the foyer and pool area are in a good state, in other places the hotel is starting to look a little tired and could do with a spruce up.

I forgot to request an early check-in consequently we had to wait for the room to be cleaned - unfortunate as we were due at a wedding at Town Hall at 3.30. We were promised the room at 2pm but it wasn't ready till 2.30pm. The staff did their best though and it all worked out. The reception staff were a little overly formal, perhaps, but also very efficient.
