The hall is quite stilish. The room was reasonably clean and tidy, yet it could do with some refurbishment. I was especially disappointed with the unavailability of breakfast before 5 am, which made me forgo it altogether. For an airport hotel, this seems rather poor to me.

Thought for Airport Hotel it was excellent the staff were very helpful and the Bar Food was good - very convenient for Terminal - I would recommend and stay again - gave a ticket so we did not have to pay for drop off

Having previously had a very comfortable stay at your hotel the night before an early morning flight, I had no hesitation in booking again from Hannover when I discovered our flight was delayed causing us to miss the last train home. Travelling with my brother I had wanted a twin room but as there was not one available at the late stage that I booked, I settled for a family room with a sofa bed and stated that I had wanted a twin room in the email booking message to indicate that I expected the sofa bed to be made up. On arrival at the hotel after midnight following our delayed flight, the check in receptionist was polite and friendly and informed us that we had been upgraded to an executive room which was nice. On entering the room, however, we found that the sofa bed had not been made up. I tried to ring down to reception but the bedside phone did not work so I went back down to reception and asked if we could have a duvet brought to the room so that we could make up the sofa bed. I went back up to the room and within five minutes someone knocked and handed me linen which I thanked them for but after they had gone we discovered that they had not sent up a duvet but a blanket, sheet and pillows - not nearly as comfortable as a duvet and more difficult to make up in the early hours. We were too tired to quibble so my brother used the blanket and sofa bed. We were then dismayed to find out that ( although I had stated there would be two guests) there was only one large bath towel in the bathroom. As there was no working phone and I was too tired to go all the way down to reception again we both used the one large towel. In the morning, we were both disappointed by the breakfast. After our late night we did not go to breakfast until after 9am where we found that most of the cooked items looked (and tasted) as though they had been on their hot plates since breakfast started being served. All in all it was a disappointing stay and nothing like our previous stay which was superb. Although the hotel is very convenient for the terminal, there are several airport hotels and in future I would consider looking slightly further afield for a better service.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. After my investigation I could see that your reservation came in to our system after 9PM and at this time of the night my team could not see requested preferences, because reservation department normally updates all requests in the system during the day. Of course I am not looking for any excuses and I will put as an action plan for my Night team to learn how to check new bookings to ensure that those kind of requests will be spotted on arrival. In regards to the requested duvet I already spoken to the team member who delivered you blanket instead. I was very disappointed to hear your comments regarding breakfast as this is an area where we usually pride ourselves on the service and choice we have to offer. I have spoken with the Food & Beverage Manager who has since retrained the appropriate staff to ensure the level of service and quality of the hot buffet is always at our consistently high standard to prevent any future reoccurrence. At Novotel, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address problems and prevent future occurrences. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. The hotel couldn’t be any closer to departures which was great at 6am. We had an executive room which I think was a bit over priced compared to other onsite airport hotels. The room was quite small but the bed was comfy. It was our anniversary so the team provided us with a lovely gesture, thanks. We didn’t eat at the hotel but did have a drink in the bar. The service was good.

We had a 6.30am flight from Birmingham Airport so decided to stay the night before at The Novotel. Fantastic hotel, excellent service and location. Restaurant was great and the extra little touches like a free toy for our son and the VIP dinner service for him were amazing. We would have no hesitation about staying here again.

Parking is a problem

I was meeting a customer who was flying in to Birmingham. There is no parking at the hotel. I had to use the airport parking, which was £41.00 for the night. Why doesn't the hotel not do a deal with the car park for this?
