Room and it's amenities fine. Bathroom had a problem-- inside door handle was missing and had not been replaced. I didn't notice this until I had closed the door!. Luckily I have hard fingernails and was able to grip the door decoration enough to open the door. There is no way to call for help in a bathroom if you are a single occupant. Housekeeping flaw.

The hotel made an excellent first impression: we were greeted as we walked in through the door. So much better than being met with a bank of machines! All the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room was immaculate and comfortable. There was a good choice for breakfast and also for the evening meal we had in the bar. Both meals were great value for money.

We live in Nottingham and had an early flight so the family decided that as we had 3 small children travelling with us it would be better for them to travel the day before and spend the night at the Novotel rather than travel in the early hours. Check in straight forward, staff very friendly. Room dated curtains need cleaning as there were stains on the net. Carpets old and need cleaning or changing. Evening meal good but issue with breakfast asked for gluten free bread had to wait 20min plus after 3 reminders to staff eventually delivered as toast which was not what I asked for, with allergies food products especially for common issues such as gluten and dairy free should be easily available

Room was very basic. The restaurant, although nearly empty was unbelievably slow, waitress never came back to show desert menu, and we had to go and look for someone to pay the bill.....could have walked out and nobody would have noticed.

The hotel was nice and modern but having to pay £39 for parking next door for an overnight stay was ridiculous. I did ask at the hotel desk when I arrived for better option but was informed that none existed.

Hotel is well located, staff are very friendly and the food was good. External noise is well damped so you can't hear the planes but not so good with inside the hotel, I didn't enjoy the person in the room above me visiting the toilet regularly.
