« I was delighted with my stay at Pullman although I did note some important details that need to be improved. »

Because of a personal history and memories I have with the 'old Hilton Hotel' of Abidjan, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The highlights were: - the view !!!! - the breakfast with mix of very healthy foods and traditional Ivorian dishes/ pastries -espresso machine in the room - welcome personalised hand written note, sweets, fruit bowl and perrier bottle in the room - the elevated floor as per my request (or upgrade ?) - the decoration and design of the building - the waitress on roller blades - every one of the staff members I came across who were extremely attentive and friendly - comfy bathrobe and bed - nice wine display in the dining area although I did not have the occasion to appreciate any (time, company, financial priority...) Some negative points are: - the water in the shower was only luke warm not hot - No soap bar nor shampoo in the room (only conditionner, lotion and shower gel) - no hooks or bars in the bathroom to hang towels, clothes or bathrobe - no espresso coffee capsules to use the espresso coffee machine :( - no mini milk containers or creamers to go with the coffee or tea - it took me a while to locate the 2 awa water bottles in the fridge. Because they were in the fridge I was not sure if they complimentary. Also once I found them, I would have preferred to have them at room temperature given the cold ambient air. - the general temperature of the common areas was too cold. My room was as well but I was able to lower the temperature in my room. - I had to pay for a 9000 FCFA round of coffee to me and my friends Magali and Jean Benoit Vielle by card or by changing dollars as I did not have enough FCFA on hand. It took a long while for the downstairs coffee island and front desk lobby staff to work out a solution with a couple back and forth. (coffee staff sent me up to front desk to change money as was uncertain how to run my card at the coffee station, and front desk did not have the cash nor exchange rate on had and walked me back down to the coffee station to run the card- which they finally did). Nothing upsetting as far as I was concerned as I was not in a rush and amused more than anything, but a more demanding guest might have been dissatisfied. - I could not figure out how to call reception from the room phone as there was no phone number guide on it and dining 0 or 9 did not work. Could not call anyone to help me bring luggage down. - The choice of golden metal surfacing material in some of the surfacing in the main floor common areas is interestingly 'retro' but also risky in terms of maintenance requirements. It very quickly shows signs of uncleanliness after the slightest touch from the human hand (check out the staff door behind the bar in the lobby). While customers can potentially ignore and be distracted, I think it is particularly important to fix the problem for the reception counter. That is the first piece of furniture guests will see upon walking in and it would be important I would think to give guests a spotless first impression. This was not my case despite my best dispositions. - The architecture of the entrance stairs going down from the parking may cause a problem in the future, especially for the elderly less balanced customers arriving by night jet lagged after a long flight. You can apprehend the geometry walking up but it is a lot harder for first time comers to see the changing floor you are walking on going down and it my lead to accidents. Consider adding visual markings of some sort, or redoing. - disappointed to find that neither the pool nor the gym were running. Would have been nice to have been notified in advance (or upon booking ideally), or given an apology letter, offered a discount or complementary voucher or something upon arrival as the service provided was not what was sold to me. Sorry for the long feedback. I figured I would take the time as I care about the success of your establishment. I did a 9th grade internship in the facility as a child, and have a fond memory of working in all the various services. Dear Sir/Madam, On booking my 4 nights stay at your establishment (please see details below) on the Accorhotels.com. An offer for DELICIOUS ESCAPE, Bed and breakfast was offered, I thought perfect this would work brilliantly by ensuring my guest is kept happy. My booking was confirmed, 1x room for 2x people 16th - 20th Feb. We arrived the evening of the 20th Feb; we completed check-in formalities along with my guest’s passport details etc. We checked out on the evening of the 20th, a late check out time was appreciated, thank you. However I was a little surprised to discover that the original amount suggested for my stay should be in the region of: CFA, 364,616.00 on accorhotels.com CFA, 481,316.00 final invoices I asked the Lady at reception (she was the same person who checked us in) about the slight increase in final amount charge? I was informed that the offer made on accorhotels.com of DELICIOUS ESCAPE, Bed and breakfast was for 1x person only? I find this slightly odd that after looking at my original booking for 1x room + 2x people this issue wasn't flagged at the original point of booking. Please note, I've spoke to Accor hotels customer services expressing the same concern. Whilst completing my guest’s details on arrival at the hotel, I would have appreciated being informed of this discrepancy. Your reservation is confirmed. Reservation made in the name of: Mr R. This was my first trip to Abidjan. While searching for hotels, I had options of choosing from Sofitel, Novotel and Pullman, all Accor group of hotels. I choice Pullman at a decent rate of USD 175/- per room night. The location is good next to the Lagoon was also another reason as to why I chose this hotel. On arrival at the hotel , i realized that the hotel is just using the good will of the brand PULLMAN. The carpets in the room were dirty, the bathroom towels were stained and the tap was leaking. The receptionist , a nice lady explained that all rooms are same and no point changing rooms. I had my colleague who wanted to check out and go to SOFITEL. However since rooms were prepaid, we decided to stay bearing the unhygenic pathetic hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Almost all staff has no English, and who has English his English is very bad and poor, this made communication very poor The US dolar rate in hotel was very low comparing to the market rate, this made me pay more. The security man after 6 pm who is standing close to the elevator has very bad way in dealing with visitors, always he requesting the ID of visitors in very bad way, and he talked with my freind when he was walking with me in ugly and hard way and no one time I saw any smile on his face, really he made me disappointed with my saty I think the most imporatnt thing is to improve staff English for better communications with visitors

cant believe that it is a PULLMAN branded hotel. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The towels were stained, the bathroom had a leakage. Room housekeeping was to be summoned to clean room, unbelievable, Worst hotel.

It was a working visit to Abidjan, so I was mostly out of the hotel except to sleep. The room was conducive but the bathroom was not, the bath is old as well as the shower and taps in the bathroom. I believe that these utensils should be upgraded to more convenient and modern ones

Worst experience I have ever had in Abidjan. This hotel needs to be shut down and renovated. It is a shame for the Pullman chain. Sheets are torn , towels are a strange color and looks dirty, smell in the room is horrible, showers have disgusting mold everywhere . Bathroom are dirty.

From the shuttle arrangement (not aligned at all with well-known regular daily flights at this destination) down to the room and services, I was quite surprised as an Accor hotel member. The AC was not functional, there was no remote for the TV although I reported that and got the promise to have one. The room was clean however not refreshed (kind of old furniture) especially in the bathroom.

Hotel getting too old. Food very, very disappointing for a hotel of this standing. Water leaks in the bathroom. No internet during almost half a day forced me to spend hundreds of dollars on telephone bill. Was promised a meeting room that we then could not get. Only good point: nice environment in the lobby.
