« Best hotel vacation stay ever!!!!! »

Not one thing was wrong with our stay!....We arrived and were upgraded to an ocean view room as it is winter time in the islands and the hotel was not fully booked!!...The room, view, grounds, beach, breakfast and especially your staff were just tops and I have never had such a nice stay at a resort as I did at the Sofitel Imperial....It was simply amazing and can only hope to return is all I can say!

The kids enjoyed the pool the beach the kids club and lived the food. My husband and I enjoyed every second of the stay loved the variety of activities and variety of food cuisines . The staff was very friendly and served us with pleasure . I also tried the spa it was phenomenal.

« Lovely location and good rooms but place had an empty feel »

Reasonable given that the hotel was clearly not built with the needs of people with a disability at the fore front of the design. No lift and steps to many parts made access difficult to some ares.. In a five star hotel I expect exceptional cooking and in this instance I did not feel that this was achieved either in the buffet style or in the Tasmin restaurants. Not helped by low occupancy and open forum combined with winter cold conditions. That said staff did go out of way to assist and take on board immediate feedback.

Everything was fine eg comfortable room, nice view & environment, good service at restaurants,.. 2-3 remarks for improvement: - some incorrect info received from reception incl reg restaurant offering - ask for taxi booking in advance / it was not arranged / arrived very late to training I should give - taxi management / availability needs serious review eg 1 only working in evening, in the morning ut looked like the same,.. - propose more than 1 type of white or red wine by the glass for couples with only one drinking or business travelers,..

The overall experience was great. Having private beach and most of the water sports activities inhouse made us spend good time at the resort. Only problem that we faced was with the vegetarian food. I request you to kindly increase vegetarian dishes in your buffet. One cannot just live on bread and butter everyday. The resort is recommendable to every person visiting Mauritius

« Great relaxing holiday »

The stay was great and we picked a really quite time so it was perfect for us. The hotel was very clean and the food was exceptional each day and night. We did have a slight issue with our room key where we had to go back to reception 2 or 3 times to get the key reactivated. We also got engaged at the hotel on the beach and afterwards the staff were very quick to bring us a bottle of champagne when we ordered which was lovely. The only negative really was that there was no congratulations drink or bottle of champagne which would have been a really nice touch and I would have been able to share this on social media and give a shout out to the Sofitel giving your hotel some exposure as my post got shared by a blogger here in Australia. We do pay quite a premium to stay at the Sofitel and I think if it budget permitted you should set aside even a glass of champagne which would be such a nice touch from a duty manager to a newly engaged couple. I had told the manager as well so I was hopeful that we'd get a drink on the house. Instead I was asked to sign straight away in my room for the drink straight after we got engaged which was a little bit disappointing - but I also do understand if that's not the hotel policy. It's more of a suggestion.
