« You never go wrong with the Accor group! »

Lovely staff, as usual, nice large rooms. I really was there for a night sleep. Only problem, if I have to name one: the room was incredibly hot... and turning off the heating did not help! To me (and my mum, who was sharing) sleeping in such a hot place is not very healthy...

« Some small issues »

The room 617 had some issues. Although it looks completely renovated, the big shower head was not working, the safe seemed to be out of power and the television was not reacting to the remote control. The last 2 were solved during the day, the shower was still not functioning, only the small head.

« Nice hotel but let down due to the air conditioning in the rooms not working »

Poor experience! The air conditioning in the rooms was not working and when I called reception to ask why they said it was due to pollution in Milan so they could not have the a/c and heating at the same time. I understand why they need to do this but my compliant is that they did not tell me when making the booking. The result was the room was in excess of 25 degrees so you need to open the window, and then you cannot sleep as the hotel is on a very busy road.

« Great hotel, super warm room »

I arrived and was greeted by a very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had with my stay was that the air conditioning did not work. By the time I realized this it was very late and I didn't think anyone would be able to fix this issue. This made the room very hot. Luckily I was able to open the window to let some cool air in.

« good hospitality - room a bit expensive but Accor group!! And near to the airport »

I passed 3 nights at this hotel. The hostesses were very friendly. I took my diner at the bar and the barman spoke with me in french! I know I have a very bad english and people understand that I am french. Nevertheless, salad was good and the price not too expensive (we are in Accor hotel near to the airport thus we can't expect to have very good food with good price!). Breakfast is nice. Just the cafe wasn't enough warm. (I can't drink italian expresso - sorry- because too strong!). If I must come back in Milano, for sure, I will book this hotel (if the price is correct)

Nice rooms, they have big flat screen TV and power USB ports by bed. This is great and all hotels should be set up this way as everyone has a smart phone that needs to be charged. USB is universal power cable!!

We have stayed at a few Novotels and this was definitely the worse. Shower in one room broken, in other room there was mold in the shower. Overall cleanliness of the rooms not worthy of 4 star hotel. Positives is the beds.

Great if it wasn’t for the incident regarding the transfer from the airport: over one hour waiting (in the end I took a taxi) for a transfer that didn’t run every half hour as I was lead to believe (even by the airport information desk)

« Do not rely on the shuttle bus »

I had booked this hotel because of its proximity to Linate and its free shuttle bus. Only to have to call the bus when I arrived because it has no regular schedule during the day and when I wanted to take it in the morning it was full and I had to take a taxi for 20 Eur. Not pleasant. Hotel is very decent for the rest with a good tram connection of 25 mins to downtown Milan.

« Don't trust the shuttle bus »

The stay was very comfortable. Location of the hotel is convenient if you can take the shuttle bus. Also an easy tram ride (25 mins) to the Duomo. However, when I wanted to go from the hotel to the airport (Linate) by bus, the bus was completely full and I would have had to wait half an hour for the next one, which I couldn't or I would have missed my plane potentially. So I had to take a taxi, which cost me 20 EUR.

« Hotel was great good atmosphere front desk was under staffed »

Our room was clean and well kept. I waited ages to talk to a staff member at the front desk even when I phoned it often rang out plus rooms are not sound proof as I heard traffic through out the evening.We had the breakfast buffet which after staying at 5 other Novotel's in Germany was a disappointment. The food is not as fresh like other Novotel's. No muesli fresh fruit salad only tinned fruit and the coffee machine was powdered coffee and milk. One plus though was fresh orange juice.My family do not eat meat and prefer low sugar our choices were very limited.I would suggest the manager check out other Novotel's in various countries and introduce a change of menu.If you are going to use Novotel's promo breakfast posters then at least have what's in the posters. The manager could check out any good Italian cafe for advice on a fresh approach.
