No heating in the room and told it was "slow" as "very old". In the end had to use a small electric heater ... problem needs fixing.

The room was clean and comfortable, although the carpet was stained and worn. The shower room was lovely and the staff were very helpful and polite if it wasn't for the carpet I would have given a 10.

The pool was inoperative, and my attempts to discuss this have not been addressed. I am still waiting for a reply to my email to customer services 9 days after I sent it despite the assurance that such issues are targeted to be resolved/reviewed in 24 hours

I received the feedback from your experience directly into my system yesterday and hence our conversation. Now understanding that you contacted our central guest services with your original complaint some time ago, I will pass on that there appears to be some 'lack of connectivity' in forwarding such comments and hopefully they can review where the chain is broken. Regrettably our swimming pool was out of order during your visit and I can confirm that I have made an award of Le Club points to your membership card as a small gesture of compensation. Again I am really sorry that the team missed this opportunity to do this during your visit. We stayed 2 nights, on our way to Greece and then a night before heading home. The hotel is a bit dated, but very spacious, very clean and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing! Plenty to choose from and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful

Arrived into a good, well spaced environment. Arrived early (taking extra time off work) to use facilities with my family (children 2/5). At reception they told us facilities where not in use and some people had been informed. We'll not us, leave me and young unhappy. Room and bar fine but already unhappy due to facilities issue and lack of communication.

Check in and checkout was very simple. Your reception and kitchen/bar staff were really good. One of them even helped me carry a tray of soup upstairs so I didn't have to worry about spilling it whilst operating the lift or opening my door. The room was pristine and the bed very comfortable. Some cushions or a throw on the sofa in the room would have really added to the comfort of this furniture, as would a plug socket nearer the headboard to allow ease of access to a charging phone. Pedestrian access through the carpark from the road is limited (there's no footpath for walkers, so if you are arriving via public transport as I was, you have to walk in the road). I had vegetable soup and it was really very bland, and my chips/wedges were quite cold. But I was grateful to the staff for getting me a little pot of mayonnaise and helping with my tray.

hotel is in need of a makeover. swimming pool i closed and its not clear that it will reopen. Decor is tired and needs updating. dining room never seems to be open in the evening altho there seems to be food service in the bar. they no longer provide a taxi shuttle to the airport.. even though we stayyed for 7 nights in an executive roomlocation is very handy and the staff are friendly and helpful

Good hotel, bargain 10 mins stroll from the metro, regular trains and less than 20 mins travel so no need to stay in central Newcastle even if not going to the airport!

Food was great and staff where polite. Arrived at the hotel with my room window left open by the cleaners and arrived at 1am with the room freezing. Staff tried to get me into another room but that was equally cold! Given fan heater which was less than ideal.
