Hotel has very good room, but the breakfast is a little disappointing with over cooked food. Bar menu lists Irish coffee, but staff do not know how to make it.

« Noisy, No Pool, wont be back »

Have stayed at this hotel many many times, but wont be back. Had a 6 year old girl in tears in a swimming costume with no pool which we were never informed about. Also very noisy, asked for a quite room, but had banging from above until 11 at night. Terrible. Also had a travel cot in the room, for a 6 year old?? Asked the house keeping to remove it, got a very rude answer of "we just put in what we were told" and had to take it out myself. Empty issues in the shower room also. Just very very poor, I am a operations manager with nespresso customer experiences who I know you guys have in your rooms, but I wont be back. Have book in for next year in France also, but reconsidering now.

I stayed here for 5 nights whilst attending a family wedding in the area. As I have stayed here before I felt comfortable and safe on my own due to the familiarity of the hotel. The executive room I was in, whist, a little tired was clean, tidy and the bedding was lovely and fresh. There was an excellent range of complimentary toiletries etc which were replenished as required. The fridge, ironing board and iron were extremely useful. I went out and bought a new travel hairdryer as the one fixed in the room was not very powerful. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory and plentiful. Staff in all areas were attentive and helpful to me. Check in and check out were quick. Complimentary taxi to airport was on time. I was slightly disappointed that the pool was closed for refurbishment, however, car parking fees were not charged in lieu of compensation. I look forward to staying again in the future.

We booked the hotel as we were wanted something with more facilities than the norm - many hotels were cheaper but we have stayed here before and it was excellent The hotel pool was closed which we were compensated for with free breakfast We were eating evening meal in the hotel and friends that were also staying had gone out to eat and we had arranged to meet them for drinks in their return We were approached at around 10:20 to be told that the bar was being closed down because the function that was going on was busy and having staff in there was a better use than keeping the bar open So the 2 reasons we booked this hotel over something cheaper - pool and on site bar were both closed down

Great bed, easy parking, very good location just off A1. Limited bar food on our day (Monday) restaurant shut. Very good service. Just around corner is a shopping centre with Costa, MacDonald, M&S.

Inside and outside the upkeeping should be more closely watched. Dirty carpet in breakfast room, rubbish in the alley tot the hotel and the garden ( cans, paper, plastic) , carpets in room and corridors stained and torn. But staff was friendly and helpful. General upkeeping is not up to the standard we are used to IN ACCOR hotels.

Disappointed that the pool was off and was only notified after checking in. I stay at the hotel on regular basis with my kids because of the pool facilities. I was offered no apology or any form of compensation for the inconvenience

Approximately our 16th visit since March this year. Visit regularly due to appointments at the Freeman hospital. The Novotel suits our needs and we enjoy the breakfasts as it can be a long day at the hospital. As I am now a silver member I was disappointed the two rooms seemed more costly than usual this last visit.

The flexible rate is generally around £10 more expensive but does give the option to amend or cancel free of charge. And also for the drinks vouchers, we will make sure we give you two vouchers on your next stay as a software glitch meant we couldn't see anybody's membership status on this particular day. I stay at Accor hotels at least two or three times a year.Can’t understand why my Silver card has now been downgraded to Classic.During my most recent stay there were no toiletries available in the bathroom and the lift wasn’t working on our 7.30 am departure.
