Couldn't ask for more. I love staying at Ibis for the clean rooms and charm. Location was perfect, staff were very helpful and courteous. Good breakfast, my favourite was the baguette... Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is as good as ever but the building noise should be pointed out at the booking stage not the check in, it begins at 7.30 with whistling, talking and coughing,metal cutting and power tools follow and it is horrendous

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have always been impressed by the facilities and the staff ( they are all very friendly and efficient ) .The rooms have been renovated over the recent period and I particularly commend the walk in showers . The breakfast is continental style with a wide selection and constant replenishment .The hotel Wi-fi is strong all over the hotel .Some words of warning for those arriving by car :- the hotel car park is out of action due to building work and will be until probably next April - so you will have to park in the surrounding streets- St Malo Council now charge for this parking - it’s ( at the time of writing - September 2018 ) 3.60 euros per 24 hour period and you can pay by coin or credit/debit card- parking charges start at 0900 and finish at 1900 ( you don’t pay for the period 1200 to 1400 ) - the parking enforcement people ( PEP ) frequently walk the area and levy on the spot fines for non payers - do NOT think you can park your car and pay later as payment is strictly enforced - the pay machines show instructions in different languages and you are required to enter your car number ( and any fine will show what type of car you have ! )

Fine, great location but manic for parking, we were advised the coffee was free from the machine when we booked in, but were charged whe we used it it the morning when booking out?

Hotel was nice but the building site wasn't. Was not given any warning that building work was going on and that there was no car parking because of the building work either at the time of the booking or at any time between booking and check in. Was not given the choice to change hotels or cancel the booking. No information leads to bad decisions.

« A room with a view »

We arrived early in the morning following travel on the overnight ferry from Portsmouth. We were able to leave our luggage and obtain breakfast. The reception was excellent. Later in the day when we got into our room we were delighted with the sea view. All in all, an extremely pleasurable experience.

« Relaxing and comfortable. »

This was the 2nd time we had stayed with you. This year we were delighted that our third floor room was bigger with 2 windows overlooking the sea. Everytjonf was spotlessly clean and remained so throughout our stay. The Ibis Plage is in an ideal location with good testaurants nearby if you don't want to walkj ibto St Malo. The only criticism that we would have is that there should be a kettle and tea/coffee in the room which we have subsequently got at cheaper but of equally good standard hotels in Nourmoutier and Pornic. We expected that parking would be a problem as obviously this year we couldn't park at the hotel because of building work. However we found free parking within a 10 minute walk from the hotel and on our last night we could park on the seafront directly outside our hotel. We would stay again with you next year but please take on board the kettle. We really enjoyed our stay. Merci beaucoup!

« A view of a building site and cramped room »

Although no noise the rear of hotel is being developed so has a view of an enormous building site just outside the windows at the rear. No warning when booking and no reduced charge for the unpleasantness. The bed was pushed up close to the windows so little room to walk at the side of it when getting in/out. Breakfast standards generally seem to be reducing.... no fruit to take away anymore.

« Very good hotel, very nice staff! »

This hotel is one of those places I love to come back to. Rooms with the sea view are great, beds are very comfortable, but what I really appreciate there is the kindness of the staff. Each time I came here, I've been, coincidentally, welcomed by the same staff member, Louise, who did her best to make us feel comfortable and offered a warm and professional service. Highly recommended!
