Drilling throughout my stay made relaxing at the hotel impossible! I booked a luxury suite for 110 Euro, but was given a room for 59 Euro? I booked the nicer room for a reason! Never again will I stay in one of your hotels, be assured that my experience has been shared within my team, who stay in hotels at least once a week. you just lost 20 clients.

My poor rating of the experience is not necessarily related to the hotel we were in but to the overall conditions. We have reserved and pre-paid our stay in Mercure "Olympiapark" two weeks ahead through a travel agency. Following up on a canceled train from Basel to Munich we arrived a bit late around 23H to Mercure "Olympiapark" only to find the front desk person telling us that there was a technical issue with our reservation and that the hotel is full and that we need to go to another hotel. We then had to go to Mercure Shwabing. When asked on the reason behind the error the only explanation we have had was "there was a technical error with the system. The system made a mistake I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do". My wife was a bit under the weather and we were exhausted so i didn't want to argue. But I have been working for the tourism industry long enough to know that this was no mistake. Plus my phone number was functional during the whole trip and I didn't receive any notification of that error. Passed a certain time our room was simply sold to another client which is understandable when it's a booking but not when the room was fully paid for all the nights. That is very unprofessional and just pure greed ! Moreover, and even if it was an actual mistake no compensation was offered or given to us knowing that we had previously tailored our trip to the location of the Olympiapark hotel. That is quiet shameful because the rooms were not bad, the location is not terrible either and i go through Accord hotel very often when i travel (I went to three accord hotels in three different countries last week). The staff is great, very polite and friendly. The people are really heroes (especially I need to express my thanks and appreciation for Mrs. Petridou in breakfast) they all do their best to serve the customers, but the situation of the hotel is really terrible with all the construction works in progress, the noise, the dirt in the stairs...

Clean and friendly, and in a good location. The underground was 5 minutes walk, and there are some great bars and restaurants close by. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Our family booked reservations under 3 separate reservation bookings. My mother-in-law checked in earlier with her own booking code under Petra Quint. She was told her booking was for 1 person and the room was single and that she would have to book additional rooms for her husband and my brother-in-law. She agreed to one more room with the addition of a 15 euro charge for her husband to stay with her. Both rooms had plenty of room for two people and we understood that the rooms were too small for a cot. When myself, my fiance, and our two friends checked in, the front desk told us our family had already checked in and there were issues. We had two separate reservations under Amy T. and Jason Quint, so I thought it was uncomfortable for them to assume we were together and then complain about other guests to us. Service was very curt and unfriendly. Staff spoke to each other in German not knowing we understand and speak German about upcharging us and trying to tell us we had to book additional rooms as well as other unwelcome discussions. We agreed to the 15 euro extra per room for two people despite its ability to clearly host 2 people already. The staff member (female) asked if we wanted it charged in US dollars or euros and my very tired fiance said dollars and I said that would be more. My fiance asked the staff member but instead of stopping to answer, she swiped the card and said bad for you! Hotel was under construction and a mess. We took the stairs down from the 2nd floor and could not get out of the building which should be a fire code violation. We had to take the elevator up to the lobby to get out. The room booked under my name, Amy T., was booked as a garden view room as all other options were sold out. This room was more money for this view and the only view outside our room was of construction material. This is a serious abuse of false advertising and price gouging, just because you know this area is booked for Octoberfest (even though this hotel is extremely far away from the festival). Overall this was probably one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had and the first I have had with any of the Accor brands. This type of service is unacceptable and will make me think twice before ever booking one of your brands to stay again.

The stay itself was fine but the hotel charged me for 4 nights when I only stayed for 2 (and my reservation was only for 2 nights). The hotel has refused to repay me the 2 nights that I did not stay. I will be contacting Accor and my credit card company for repayment of the extra nights if I don't get refunded the money by early this week.

Very poor generally. The room that I was allocated (301) also housed the lift shaft which was extremely noisy. My room also overlooked a large building site which again was extremely noisy. When I arrived late at night my bed was not made, instead the duvet and pillows were in a pile in the middle of the bed. Given the price I paid, the value for money is terrible. I'll not be staying at this hotel ever again and it's made me think twice about using Accor hotels again. It seems that profitability is valued above and beyond customer satisfaction

« A great city break in Munich »

I've stayed for a weekend with my friends at Mercure Schwabing. We arrived late, our check-in was very quick and efficient. We got a room (an amazing "2-level one") on the top floor of the hotel. Breakfast is OK, big bravo because of the fresh espresso. Beds are comfortable for a good and relaxing sleep. All in all: it was a super stay here.

Mercure hotels, you know more or less, what you get. But this was the best Mercure, I ever stayed in. Okay, I was on the floor with the newly renovated rooms. Room as simple, as I like it. Bathroom clean and the WiFi was fast. Breakfast was also as I like it. The coffee machine is a little bit strange positioned.

The hotel was good, located very close to the English gardens and the city centre (15 minutes by bike). Notwithstanding the retrofit works on the structure, they gave the right assistance for parking the car at a fair fee. The room was quite small but clean. A good assistance was given for the use of an iron. The only problem was that I asked for a double bed at the time of booking and they did not satisfy this request, even if I did not ask them to change.

« Two nice stays in one week »

Conveniently placed for our visit, everything went smoothly from check in to check out. We went to Vienna for three days between stays, luggage was kept safely without a problem. Rooms were clean and tidy, cool as well considering the hot spell of weather.
