Overall, very good experience. Possible improvements could be made in your bar. You only have one till to take food and drink orders, which means that no matter how many bar staff you have, there's a queue to pay. Non convention attendees were also prioritised over convention attendees, especially if they were rude. Although my patience was recognised and complemented by your staff, I'm still a paying customer, who's stayed at your hotel for over 10 years in a row, and don't think it's right that someone ruder than me gets served first.

The staff were very friendly on check in. The food at breakfast was delicious - especially the pancake making machine. The staff at breakfast were very attentive and were quick to bring us tea and coffee. Even the standard room was really spacious and had an extendable desk and sofa.

Was given a lovely quiet room as requested. The online check in made arrival and departure very efficient. Love the separate toilet and additional door between the room and toilet for additional privacy and sound proofing from corridor. Decor was simple and a little dated but everything was clean.

Checked in online, so had room key ready for collection as soon as we arrived. The code for the swimming pool had already been put onto the room key booklet, so we were able to head straight down for a swim with minimal fuss. The room was clean and extremely comfy., with the sofa bed very easy to set up. Breakfast next morning was delicious, and check out was quick and straight forward. The staff were helpful and attentive throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

« Really enjoyed our stay apart from a need for anti slip in the bath. »

The staff were excellent, the food was tasty, well cooked and well presented. The room upgrade was really appreciated. The room was nicely presented and clean although the bath towels were lacking in size and comfort. There is a need for anti slip mats or coating in the bath. My husband did slip and has chipped a bone in his toe and is off work until the swelling goes down. Apart from that it was a very enjoyable stay and we will be coming back.

We weren't able to attend due to my daughter's illness which started the Friday evening before our scheduled stay on Saturday night. I called on Saturday evening and spoke with Angela to confirm we wouldn't be able to visit, seeing as we were still in our local A&E department at the time. As we would still like to visit I sent a message via the Accord Hotels website to explain what had happened and attached a letter from the doctor on duty, asking if there was anything further they could do, though have not yet received a reply.

« Very average hotel, now a bit tired »

First room allocated had defective heating system and defective noisy bathroom extractor fan. The sink would also not drain away. Staff tried to fix heating without success. We then moved rooms. Second room, shower water would not drain away neither would water from sink. Rooms looking very tired now. Staff very friendly and helpful. Finish on rooms very poor, hinges painted over on doors etc. If you wish for a very average hotel experience then this is for you. Having stayed at other Novatel's this one is below par in comparison. Great location though.

Very welcoming hotel, the staff were brilliant and could not do enough for us, especially the children giving them a goodie bag full of stuff which was very much appreciated! Hotel is in a great location in Southampton and the Pool nice (Though a little small!) Overall a fantastic stay and will be staying here again.

The stay was comfortable and good quality. Staff was very courteous and helpful. It was a simple check in and check out. Breakfast was at the restaurant was pleasing although the menu remains the same after coming to this hotel in the past 3 years. I would recommend changing the menu at least offer one two different items each day.

Lovely hotel and good for family in one room. Excellent location- walking distance of most amenities. Parking at hotel which is always a bonus. Breakfast very good- in fact a good value for money for an overnight stay.

Really easy to check in and the kids even got gifts which was a really nice and unexpected surprise. The room was lovely and clean. We used the pool and were pleased that the hotel provided towels. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Overall really pleased with out stay
