I enjoyed the location for what I wanted to do in Brussels. The staff with whom I interacted were very kind and helpful. The bed was very uncomfortable for sleeping. It felt like I was going to fall off the side. The middle of the bed was high and the sides were low.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in the very nice Sofitel Le Louise. The location was very good, check in was very smooth and reception was very helpful with advice on how best to see the main sights of Brussels. Our room on the 6th floor was very nice with views over Brussels, just slightly let down by the bathroom door which was difficult to open and close, and a broken kettle lid. Not show stoppers but not expected in a 5 star hotel. We didn't have meals in the hotel as they were far too expensive for us, but did enjoy good restaurants a few minutes walk away.

Enjoyed staying at your establishment, as always. Great staff - in particular Simon, the bellboy, who graciously assisted me after a fall outside your hotel with retrieving my keys. Only sore aspect has been sharing the floor with a rowdy and disrespectful football team; tip for your reception: isolate such bookings away from your regular business customers!

Sofitel delivered on a very good experience for the 3 nights we were there. The staff was incredibly helpful -- Cem, in particular, with his various suggestions on places to visit and restaurants to eat at. The room was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The Crystal Lounge restaurant on premises provided a wonderful dinner and tasty cocktails. The room service breakfasts in the mornings made for a great start to our days. A couple of minor critiques, however: 1. the room should be equipped with USB recharging ports (if there were any, we couldn't find them!) 2. the shower is a bit awkward with the tube of the shower head abutted against one's body

« My stay was tainted by an instance of unacceptable service. »

I am a repeat customer who values the convenient location, comfort and overall service usually provided at this hotel. But, on this stay I encountered an instance of unacceptable service which tainted my experience. This was the first time that our schedules allowed for my wife to join me for a weekend getaway in Brussels, although I still had business to conduct on Monday. On that evening I invited a business colleague for drinks at the hotel bar - the three of us waited for over 20 minutes for a waiter to come and take an order, although there were four hotel employees noisily busying themselves merely ten meters away. I tried to get their attention but none was bothering to look at our direction, so I had to get up and seek one so that orders would be taken. The drinks were brought without the usual accompaniment of assorted nuts etc. I waited for about 15 minutes and since nobody was coming I again got up and asked it from the person behind the bar. He turned and walked away from me, saying "Yeah, yeah, yeah" while gesticulating. The nuts were brought and when we were ready for a second drink, I again had to get up and ask for service. The third time, one person saw that I was looking for service, so he came and we placed our order. I was embarrassed in from of both my wife and my guest. On our way out for dinner, I informed the person in charge at the hotel front desk of the incident and when we returned to our room I found a voucher for a free drink on the room desk. At check-out the next day I returned the voucher and explained to the F&B Manager to whom I related the incident again that I was not interested in a free drink, but rather proper service as a guest.

I used to stay in this hotel until they couldn't provide wifi. I stopped for a few years but recently decided to try it again. Unfortunately this time it was a disaster, again. - no-one at check in, but someone who was only interested in his computer. - checked in to wrong room: the room was in use as a kennel. Not cleaned and in use by a dog. Not kidding, - No warm water in the morning. - Shower gel was already opened and half full - Room was generally run down - Letter to apologize for lack of warm water was printed with letterhead on a paper with letterhead. Not that that is something relevant, but it just shows the lack of interest.
