« Wonderful stay in Brussels »

Despite being Belgian citizens, we planned to spend the new year eve in Brussels and decided to have diner and stay over @Sofitel. Lovely food, beautiful rooms and super friendly staff made that day unique. Thanks for those good time and attention given.

We liked the hotel, but found the room, especially the size was nit so great considering the price. Also, it is difficult to find te hotel by navigation and not clear where to park. When we wanted to make advance check-in online we were requested to make a deposit of Eur 100 more than cost if our stay plus one extra night. We found that this is strange. When we checked-in in the hotel, we didn't needti rserve this extra amount.

« Everything i expected was there »

Everything i expected was there. The staff was very good and i had an upgrade. I have put a 7 not a 10 because i have been used to receive more than what i should/could expect in certain hotels. To take a 2 examples during a stay a few days after in the Hilton Köln i had a suite as a diamond member and when i go to the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth i get additionnal points (on top of normal points) or a champagne bottle. Please do not see this sentence as a mark of unhappyness, i am very happy and will beback at your hotel soon, but i just want in all honesty to highlight that you could go even one more step further for your platinum members.

I stayed for the Xmas we in Brussels. The service was superb with a delicious menu for Xmas eve. A bit of attention should be spent on the breakfast.

It was a very pleasant stay, with good service and a wonderful breakfast. The complimentary champagne bootle made a nice impression. On the other side, the room, albeit spacious and clean, is in need for some refurbishment as the things starts to be worn. The espresso machine did not work. Also, the minibar had 2 bootle of water, one can of beer and two of soda. For this, makes no sense to advertise it as free minibar .

« Excellent hotel in great location »

This stay was towards the end of our 4 week trip across Germany and Belgium. The hotel was luxury and we managed to negotiate a great rate compared to the normal rack rate. The bedroom and bathrooms were luxurious and the sleep comfort was exceptional

We were overall satisfied with the quality of the Le Louise Sofitel, apart from the fact that there was a party inside of the hotel going on until 2 o'clock in the morning, the first night of our stay. The music was extremely loud, so that we heard it really well even on the fourth floor and thus keeping us from sleeping. For the price that we paid, and the standard that one would expect from a hotel of such standard, we were a little disappointed that even after signalling the obvious disturbance, there was no effort made to compensate us in one way or another.

« I had a very pleasant stay in the hotel. »

It was great. I arrived a few hours before the check in time, but I was offered to enter the bedroom since there were available rooms. That made the difference for me, since I was arriving from the US and had not rest during the entire flight.

« Fine, but not as good as the usual places I stay in Brussels. »

OK. Decent wifi included in the price would have been nice. However, there was no iron/ironing board in the room, apparently you could get shirts ironed by appointment (and presumably for a charge) rather than doing it yourself for free as in most hotels - that was annoying (enough to avoid coming back).

« Private stay »

After a business stay booked a private stay over weekend. We had a nice room with windows to the inner courtyard, which in principle are the better choice since the hotel is situated on a road with heave traffic; unfortunately, though, the room was next to the elevator which can be heard inside the room. Excellent breakfast. Walking distance to the center of Brussels. Also metro station is just a short walk down the road.

« Bar and restaurant booked for private event, points not credited, why go there? »

I was looking forward to stay there as I normally have great experiences at Sofitel hotels. This is the exception. The bar and restaurants were closed for guests because the hotel was hosting a private event. When you have such a small hotel with no alternatives for guests, you do not do such things. Or you partner with a decent restaurant nearby. I had a drink in the lobby then... where the noise of the escalators make it a wonderful experience. I ordered an Aperol Spritz, only to be asked very rudely to sign the check immediately. Why? Because there are a lot of people! What a joke. It took a good 20 Minutes to get the drink and they are afraid I escape without paying? At check out, no apology, all the customers checking out complaining about the same issue. The icing on the cake is that I have not received any single point for my stay. What happened? Another extra penalty for being a loyal guest? What a joke. Last point: breakfast was very average. Hot dishes were COLD as the induction plates under were simply not working. They were beeping all the time but nobody cared. Bottom line: nobody cares at the property so go elsewhere! My stay next week was at the Marriott, and it was great...
