Sofitel Brussels Le Louise is very centrally located in Brussels. Excellent staff and very good service too. The only drawback is they don’t have the Sofitel club which caters to Accor platinum members or executive travelers

I arrived to the Brussels property past ten in the morning on a Saturday morning after a long haul flight. The hotel was not sold out and my room was available; the person attending to me stressed quite firmly that I needed to pay 75 euros, approximately, to have the room released early. Otherwise, I would have to wait until 3 pm. I told her that it did not make sense as the room was ready. Also, I was departing very early the following morning. Still, she stressed that it was company policy. I was dismayed, surprised, and disappointed. I travel extensively and frequently around the world and have never come across this practice. Needless to say, it was a preventable disappointment that overshadowed everything else at the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The weather was not so good so we could not enjoy the outside seating but the room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent.

Lovely reception staff, always greeted me and upgraded my room. Room was super, very nice and stylishly decorated. One lovely concierge helped me with my luggage, setting it up in my room & with taxis, the other one annoyed me - chatting for the longest time with my taxi driver, whilst leaving me waiting to go and made me late. It would be helpful if housekeeping staff replenished what had been used from tea & coffee. I used the black tea, (which there was only 1 sachet) only for housekeeping staff to give me more green tea and no more black tea! In the mornings, housekeeping staff wouldn't stop disturbing me, despite check out not being until 12.00. They actually knocked on my door - id just come out of the shower & didn't want to open the door but they wouldn't stop knocking! On both days!

Staff and service were great as usual with Sofitel. Room on the other hand was more of a problem : water temperature in the shower could not be adjusted and remained scalding hot. Wallpaper in the entrance of the room (410) wasn’t glued to the wall anymore on almost 50cm2 and had mold underneath it.

Brilliant stay from check in to check out. Absolutely the Sofitel standard I expect when I book with them. Staff at check in is both friendly and professional. Even though the bar was under construction to keep up with their high standards the temporary hotel bar was excellent and up to standard. The room was well equipped with modern furniture and the 5* Sofitel bed. The personal welcome note, turndown service and professional staff all add to the great experience. Having stayed here twice now, I’ll definitely be returning.

Overall our stay at the hotel was very agreeable. Staff were very friendly, especially waiting-staff in the breakfast room. Some of the requests that I had communicated upon checking in online had been heeded, whereas we had to remind staff of other such requests. Room for improvement: I had to ask twice about a Nespresso machine that wasn't in the room when we got there. When it finally arrived, it didn't come with any capsules for us to use. What made matters a bit worse was that it hadn't been cleaned since it still contained a couple of capsules used by the previous guests I presume. The location of the hotel is very convenient and we might even choose the hotel again for our next stay in Brussels.

Hotel is ok but it is impossible to get served in the bar or restaurant. Took me 40 mins and three direct interventions to get a cup of tea in the outside lounge.

Average. Nothing special. The restaurant is cold and boring. Old restaurant had much more of a buzz but is closed. The food is pretty average. My husband had a pasta which was simply pasta with oil and a couple of sun dried tomatoes. No cheese offered and it took ages to come. Breakfast ok.

Very nice rooms and good location to all the main attractions. Our phone SIM s we bought from Paris stop working once we landed to Brussels. one of the hotel staff member went out of the way to contact them and fixing the issue. sorry I can't remember her name. but she was very nice. well recommend hotel.
