Limited choice and poor breakfast service let down what would have been a great stay. There was also issues with air conditioning and care of guests (breakfast only). Training on importance of customer service and follow up service to guests during breakfast should be a high priority- they showed little care or concern for ours or others need on three occasions. Bed could be updated too as showing signs of wear. Very different to our stay in Sofitel Washington DC which was outstanding, comfortable and service beyond expectations.

The bed of the rooms are not comfortable. The mattress is somehow uneven where the sides are slanting and the middle is higher. We had two rooms and the mattress of the other room has the same problem.

Frustrating. No room service menu - there was an empty folder so had to have one brought up. I wanted to use the fast checkout option but instead had to spend valuable time sorting out the bill as a mini bar charge of €10 had been added - I hadn't even opened the minibar so asked for an explanation as to why it was on my bill. Seems it was charged before I had even accessed my room at 7.30pm. This isn't acceptable. on the positive side rooms were comfy and staff friendly

A person named Iris was very impolite and indelicate at the reception . I never passed through a situation like this. I think it’s because of this type of situations the hotel it’s been receiving bad reviews, although the installation of the building is still very good. The bedrooms and dining room are very good indeed. My one area for improvement would be the speed of service in the bar. This has been a problem several times when I have visited the hotel. I'm tempted to have cocktails elsewhere next time I stay in Brussels.

room fine, service fine - no iron in room, no hair dryer - these seem like basic features; they charged for early check-in, despite having rooms available - haven't had the same experience elsewhere in Brussels

Sofitel Brussels Le Louise is very centrally located in Brussels. Excellent staff and very good service too. The only drawback is they don’t have the Sofitel club which caters to Accor platinum members or executive travelers

A disappointment that could have been easily prevented

I arrived to the Brussels property past ten in the morning on a Saturday morning after a long haul flight. The hotel was not sold out and my room was available; the person attending to me stressed quite firmly that I needed to pay 75 euros, approximately, to have the room released early. Otherwise, I would have to wait until 3 pm. I told her that it did not make sense as the room was ready. Also, I was departing very early the following morning. Still, she stressed that it was company policy. I was dismayed, surprised, and disappointed. I travel extensively and frequently around the world and have never come across this practice. Needless to say, it was a preventable disappointment that overshadowed everything else at the hotel.
