I went to check in upon arrival and found that i had progressed to the silver status...my receptionist gave me a welcome drink and also a late check out which i was very grateful for after so many early checkouts! At handing me the key to my room i was also given a heart warm handshake for my birthday.

The hotel was undergoing some renovations and there were some very loud construction noises a bit too early. The food was delicious, but very expensive for what it was. For example, everywhere in Germany I ordered a glass or German wine for less than 5 Euro for .2l and at Novotel it was nearly 9 Euro. The room was comfortable for our family and fairly centrally located. And a good price.

We have agreed with the construction workers strict time windows in which noise may be made. Unfortunately last Monday they did not stick to it and one worker started too early. We were impressed by a warmer experience on checking in - including an early arrival and an unexpected room upgrade. The downstairs area has been refurbished and is more pleasant. The only downside is outside, which could do with more attention, when the weather is warm and guests might like to spend time outside - there is revenue to be achieved in this area. The seating/smoking area had used cups and smoking items. A member of staff did ask us if we wanted anything, but then left the used cups from a previous guests after we said we were okay. The garden area could be improved with little effort.

First off, I had to assist of three days of somebody drilling for three days, at least between 3pm and 5:30 pm (they could have been drilling during other hours as well, but I was not at the hotel the rest of the time). Lobby was more like a kindergarten ground than a hotel lobby, with children running around and shouting all the time (why on earth would there be a soccer game table, just speck by the side of the "welcome" desk ? - this invites a lot of noise by people using it). Breakfast room was full all the days I went down for breakfast (around 8:45am each day). I could not find a waste paper basket anywhere in the reception/bar/restaurant area! Compared to other Novotel hotels, I stayed in, this looked more of a family hotel at a resort area, than the typical Novotel I found at other cities. Not a major issue, but the 2euro daily tax charge should be included in the cost of the hotel.

Dear Mr C., I am very sorry that you did not like it with us and that we could not fulfil your expectations of a Novotel. It is our greatest concern that our guests leave us satisfied. We did not manage this with you. I apologize for the drilling work. Unfortunately, construction work is also necessary from time to time in a hotel. We try to plan them in such a way that they have as little influence as possible on the undisturbed stay of our guests. In our lobby we try to offer a pleasant place to live for all our guests. It is quite normal that during the holiday season there are more families in our house all week long and we are very happy about that. This is of course associated with an increase in volume by children. The use of table soccer is of course not limited to children. This is also very popular with our business and conference guests. In order to reduce the noise we already use very quiet balls made of cork. This only leaves the audible joy of our guests. You are right that there are currently no garbage cans in the public areas. Unfortunately, these were not considered in the planning of the recently renovated lobby. However, we have already ordered some and hope for delivery soon. As far as the Frankfurt tourism tax is concerned, it is unfortunately impossible to include it in the overnight price. This tax is only payable by leisure guests, but not by business guests. Unfortunately, this cannot be conclusively clarified in the booking process. Therefore, it is pointed out that local fees and taxes have to be paid on site. Dear Mr C., I can only once again express my deep regret that we have not been able to convince you of us. I very much hope that we can regain your trust during future visits to Novotel Hotels. a bit disappointing compared to other Novotels and even Novotel Suites

Choose the Superior Room, however, no different seen between that and normal room from previous stay. I asked at reception, that experience was not really helpful and customer-friendly either. Superior room at Novotel Suites in Hamburg or Novotel Munich for example way better than what I get at Novotel Frankfurt. Customer service on the service line before my visit was very friendly and helpful though. Also early check-in was possible. However, using the term "superior room" for what you get is very misleading.

The recognition of our loyal customers is immensely important and I will sensitize this internally in order to offer our loyal customers the optimal service and to appreciate their loyalty to Accor! Of course I will not miss the chance to explain the benefits of our superior rooms: All our superior rooms are viewing the quiet court yard. They are equipped with a bathrobe and slippers and 3 items from our “Novotel-Kiosk” are free of charge. We understand that you don´t see the difference to our standard rooms. But after checking you last booking we realised that you spend all 2 stays in a superior room. Your booking in June was for a Standard room, but you have been upgraded to a superior room. We know that it is our mandatory to inform our guests about the room categories and granted upgrades and we are very sorry that we missed the change. Also we are glad to inform you that after renovating the lobby, we will start already in October with renovating the carpets and stores in our rooms. Dear Mrs H., thank you again for your feedback. I was very upset from one of the front desk service. She was very rude. The others were polite and helpful. But even one person can spoil the full experience and rating of the hotel. 1st room I have received was to the side of the train and it was veryyyy loud. I couldn't sleep at all. When I came back next day afternoon to ask to change the room, she was rude and not nice with her way of talking to a customer. I didn't expect that at all. The initial loud room was with a coffee machine so I have expected to receive a coffee machine in the room in which I have changed to. But they have refused to give me one because of the booking I did. I agree only if it was not provided in the initial loud room. You cannot change your service suddenly!!!! The room service and cleaning personnel were perfect.

Unfortunately, my colleague could not have changed anything about the room situation. She has tried to explain to you that the coffee machines mentioned are only available in our large corner rooms. Neither the corner rooms, nor rooms with coffee machines are officially bookable with us, but only available as a free upgrade. You received this from us, because you travelled with 3 persons and spent several nights with us. I'm sorry that you weren't satisfied with this room because of the nearby traffic routes. Unfortunately, all rooms of this type have the same orientation. At your request, the colleague offered you another room which accordingly did not have a coffee machine and, following your complaint, even tried to arrange for you to have a coffee machine in this room as well. Unfortunately, however, this was not possible. I am very sorry that my colleague seemed unfriendly to you in finding a solution. This was certainly not her intention, and I suspect that this was the result of the fact that she was unable to offer you a satisfactory solution. I apologise for that. I did stay in some of the finest NOVOTEL hotels earlier. But, this is worst of the lot. Room size is vey small. When I booked room, room size was mentioned as 269 sq ft. But, actually, room looked very small. There is no proper restaurant. There is very limited option for dinner. Breakfast was pathetic.

Dear Mr M., I'm very sorry we couldn't meet your expectations. I can assure you that the size of our rooms is correctly indicated at 269 sq ft. Our rooms are generally designed for a standard occupancy of 2 persons. However, with our sofa beds we offer families in particular the opportunity to have their children stay overnight in their parents' room free of charge. To get more space you can use our family room offer at any time where you can book a second room at half price. I am sorry that our Novo² Restaurant does not agree with you. We offer a simple urban kitchen and have thus adapted to the trends of recent years. My colleagues at the reception will be happy to recommend you alternatives in the vicinity of the hotel. Also our SuperBowls breakfast corresponds to the current trends in healthy nutrition. We offer a large selection of delicious, fresh and healthy food. I'm sorry you didn't like them. The hotel is below average to other "Novotel" hotels that I stayed at. It's a little bit dated. Odd that a 4 starts hotel does not have a porter service or it does not contain a pool. I visited the fitness center and it was unattended. The hotel looks to be under staffed.
