we last stayed here in 2013 so a long time between stays , however the location is ideal not too far from the city centre and easily accessible via tram or taxi, room was adequate , well serviced and well presented , the public spaces are clean and well maintained, the bar is comfortable and the barman on the night freindly and efficient, one minor issue was a welcome card left in the room was addressed to Mrs d. , considering im a man that was a little weird, but not a major thing perhaps an issue with the reservation itself ,

Hi Novotel team, I had in general a quite good stay in your hotel. I recognised the following key points: Pro: - good bed, comfortable to sleep - nice and helpful staff (reception breakfast room) - quick internet - I like that it's possible to open the window, and the noise level is low - It's good you have a little store (fridge) downstairs Con: - the corridor outside was a bit smelly (like a wet dog) - the equipment in the rooms looks a bit old fashioned - I miss a bit the 'comfy factor# in the bar, the number of like comfortable chairs is low (since focus on high tables/chairs - number of tables is sometimes a bit too limited during breakfast Really disturbing: - I found the number of dirty dishes (bowls, plates, in the staple of cleaned dishes) is very high

Dear Mr. S., thank you very much for your evaluation. We do our best every day to ensure that our guests have a pleasant stay. I am very sorry that yours has obviously not satisfied you in any way. It is true that our fitness room is relatively small. Unfortunately there is no possibility to enlarge it. In its current design it offers the most important equipment, all of which are state of the art. The directly adjacent sauna works without problems. However, it must be switched on first, which we refer to on several signs. A continuous operation of the sauna, even if it is not in use, is unfortunately not possible for environmental reasons. However, we are happy to switch on the sauna for you at an agreed time without further ado so that it can be heated up. The deposit for our umbrellas is indeed 40€. It is very important to us that they are returned. If you do this, there will be no costs for you. The deposit will usually be charged to your room account and will be cancelled immediately upon return. This means that you will have no inconvenience whatsoever. As a regular I was satisfied. What nobody told us was, that there was constructions going on (6th floor) and this is not a good way to treat (regular) guests. As in the past, again I suggest that you check your elevators! or better have new ones installed by a better manufacturer, like Schindler, who has a special program for hotels so that you do not wait, and wait, and wait.....and when one comes it is full.

Dear Mr. H., thank you very much for your evaluation. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us on the whole. In fact, we are on the 6th floor in a conversion. We are renewing our data cabling in order to be able to offer you the best conditions for the future as a modern hotel. The work is very extensive and takes several weeks, but takes place exclusively in the corridor of the 6th floor. During your stay, however, the work was completely suspended due to the fact that we had occupied this floor. The only difference was that there was no false ceiling covering the otherwise invisible areas. For your visit it was not to be assumed that this has any influence, because all facilities of the hotel were fully usable. As far as our elevators are concerned, thank you for pointing this out. We also appreciate the quality of the technology used in Schindler elevators. That is why we have been using Schindler elevators since the building was constructed. Since the installation of the elevator system, it has been modernized several times and we are currently planning to modernize the control unit to improve performance. Dear Accor team,I usually try to choose your hotels as I feel comfortable and welcome, however during two latest weeks, I found a couple of things a bit annoying. Firstly, you offer me to manage the check in/out ahead of arrival and never worked after many tries. Secondly, during my first week, I was 35 minutes waiting for check out impacting in my agenda, but on top of that, I argued with people skipping the line and your staff instead of organize the line or support to avoid chaos, they were just doing nothing to avoid it. ( please take my comments only with the goal to improve ).

The problem is known to us here in the hotel and we have already forwarded it to the responsible department since we ourselves have no influence on these systems. As far as the check-out in your first week at our hotel was concerned, I apologize for any delays. On this day our front office team unfortunately had to struggle with a breakdown of our hotel system and at the same time check out a very large business group. Unfortunately it was more chaotic than our guests are used to. I regret that the situation was aggravated by people jumping the queue (I guess they were guests who wanted to pay their parking tickets). I can assure you that such a Friday morning is the absolute exception and that everything is very well organized and only with short waiting times. Hotel is in the business district, and I would say it is intended primarily for business people. Not far from the town (Alt Stadt). Near the metro station, although he is not far off.
