Pleasant stay in a clean & well run hotel. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast provided was excellent. The location was ideal for the railway station just 200 yards behind the hotel.

Stay was enjoyable with a comfortable bed and quiet room. The check in system was down when we first tried to check in and the internet was also unavailable for a few hours. All other aspects were good though and no complaints.

We had to change rooms twice due to blood stained bed linen then a faulty television. We were also charged for parking which was a complete surprise as no costs have been payable on previous stays. Not at all up to the usual standard.

The check-in process was quick, the elevator worked, the room was clean and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable although I thought the pillows were too thick. I wish you had more than one thickness of pillows so I could have chosen one more to my liking. My neck hurt the next morning. I do like having the tea kettle and the assortment of teas and coffees.

The hotel is in easy reach of train station and town centre. Situated in a quiet area near retail park. the service is excellent and rooms are clean. Thee reception, bar and kitchen staff go that extra mile to make you feel welcome at home.

Breakfast time was a nightmare. Food was not filled up very quickly, could do with more than 1 coffee machine as waited 20 minutes before we could get one. Not enough staff to fill up and clean tables. One poor young lady needed a medal she was fantastic but didn’t have much support. Air conditioning in room turned itself on after we had it on off. Would have said something when we checked out but as no one there as you suggest leaving key in room or at unmanned desk. First class service. I don’t think so. Not enough staff in bar at night. People having food and we had to sit there for an hour with someone else’s plates in front of us.

I thought the hotel was slightly tired and that for the money, over £200 for one night, I would have expected better service and certainly better towels.

Would hate to stay in their Budget Hotel

Was charged £10.00 per day to park. Was advertised as parking no mention anywhere of charge. Room very very basic. Beds VERY Uncomfortable. Bathroom was Nice. Advertised as restaurant in hotel, Admit they served limited hot food very pricey, intended to have evening meal here, Not a restaurant at best a cafeteria, awful tables cheap plastic chairs, more like a thrown together break room at work. Had one terminal for free wifi in reception, we ended up getting Pizza number and ordering delivery to hotel. One table and one chair in a twin room, could not open windows. A couple of positives, staff were friendly and helpful, I believe in total from start to end of stay we spoke to 6 members of staff, some were hard to understand as English was not a first language for any member off staff we spoke to. Very convenient for Southampton Cruise terminal. We stayed at Southampton for one night before a cruise, was meant to be a wind down after drive to southampton so would be fresh for our holiday. I have a spinal injury and very limited mobility, we requested a ground floor room or one close to lift. Our room was 2 down from lift. big plus for me. However instead of being relaxed after a night on their bed I was in agony and had to rely on wheelchair to move about for the first 4 days of holiday. My Brother has no health issues and he said he agreed beds awful he had back ache for 2 days. Will NEVER stay at one of their hotels again. In my opinion may just as well sleep in car.
