« Fantastic location but basic amenities »

I stayed for two nights and found the size of the room comfortable for one-two persons. There was a bad, funny smell in my room but I put up with it because I was mostly out all day and only back to the room at night. The location however is simply fantastic. I was able to walk to the big shopping malls and also to my office. Service was always very good and friendly. The only thing I'd like to have improved would be the rooms - they are a little tired and dated.

The executive room here is very good and valuable. Executive lounge’s staff are very welcome since we were arrive and check-in with Khun Poh and everyone are friendly, kindly and the service is very good. A variety of delicious breakfasts And the evening cocktail buffet is very good, with delicious snacks every day, many kind of drinks as well. The room I stayed have beautiful view on the executive floor with the city view. The bed is comfortable solved my back pain. But I understand this hotel is in Siam area we found little cockroach run on the bed in last day before we check-out but the housekeeping staff help us so well, we don’t need to change the bedding cause we will check out few hour later but they did change for us.

Take time for check-in and out. Member desk also full. Swimming pool closed for wedding without informing when we checkin. I and my kid have already changed swimming suit. No giving complementary welcome drink voucher. We need to ask ourselves.

Been staying at Novotel Siam every time when I’m in BKK, friendly staff and clean environment. But the last stayed, wasn’t up to my expectations, I was taken aback when was told be charge for local call make via from desk. Which the last time, I wasn’t charge when asking the front desk to make a local call. Yes, it wasn’t expensive, I was charged BHT 90. But is not about the money, I just need a staff which can speak Thai to help me make a call.

The hotel is very luxary with very friendly staff and located near everything and sky train also. We booked 2 superior rooms, how ever one of the rooms had a very bad smell. If there is a very bad smell like that if I was the hotel management I wouldnt rent it out rather than give the people who stay in this room a bad visit and memory or upgrade them. The breakfast was good with much choice but could be better with more choices as there a lots of people staying. Please see Novotel Ploenchits breakfast and learn, that place was great as we stayed there before. I might stay in this hotel next time I visit Bangkok again, but never if they provide us this kind of smelly rooms and work with more choices on the breakfast

This time round the housekeeping service was not up to expectation, eg drinking water and toiletries were not provided and we had to request for it. On top of that during the 3 nights of our stay, there were no Wifi in our room. IT staff came to look at it but was resolved. Other than that, I am happy with hotel.

Three nights staying at Novotel was good. Toilet was clean but need to take more attention about the water leaking near the toilet (the water tube). The hotel staffs were friendly and were able to meet our demand.

I enjoyed the stay however the only I have is that room service was rather slow when we ordered on the first night . The cleaning on our room was ok however , we needed to remind the housekeeping to top up the necessities e.g shampoo and soap .

We've enjoyed this hotel very much for a few years with its good location, friendly staff, and varied food service. However, this is the second time in one year that we've disappointed by what seems a trend this hotel has chosen. As a Platinum member we used to love the premier lounge with its excellent and warm serve staff members. Make no mistake, they're still here and still great. What's the big difference is Accor oversells membership, or, it seems, more and more families are crowding the intimate premier lounge making it seem like a cafeteria: chaotic and noisy. Children running around, their parents seem oblivious to other guests' wish for some kind of order and quietude. Staff at lounge reception do not seem to be bothered. Food at breakfast is still good. Food for cocktail hour has been reduced to mass-produced sweets and different kinds of fried food items. Choice of drinks has also dwindled. If this "family and children are welcome - the more the merrier" attitude were to continue, we won't be returning to Novotel Bangkok at Siam Square.

« Great hotel for families wanting a city centre location »

It would have been 10 out of 10 but unfortunately the last few hours spoilt what had been a great experience. We requested a courtesy room after our check out as we had a late night international flight but later that day we were told this was not possible. Having to change and sort through our suitcases in a lobby area is not an experience that I want to repeat.
