High level Familiar room, complimentary water and coffees. Reception Service perfect. Breakfast excellent in variety and availability. Reduced availability of Gluten free options. Bar really good also. In general we can qualify as excellent in general.

Let down by the room. This was a recently refurbished room so particularly disappointing. The room was overcrowded with furniture. The sofa scarcely fitted and you had difficulty sitting at the desk. It was good to have a separate shower in the bathroom but its was very compact, the door only opened inwards ( this must have been a fault) and there was not room to get in with the door open!! so had to take a hand shower kneeling in the bath. The basin outlet had a lever to close but this was disconnected underneath the basin so the outlet couldnt be closed. Neither problem would have happened overnight so suggest there is a problem with maintenance. And to cap it all when I went to make tea in the morning there was no breakfast tea bags - just an assortment of herbal teas - wouldnt have hit the spot! Shame - wont be returning.

The service was nice, the room was ok BUT waaay too much noise. A lot of alarms on the train station side kept me from sleeping the entire night. No reception was available during the night to help me with my problem I have asked for a compensation in points but I have not received it. I booked the hotel back in June for a stay in December for myself and elderly mother. I requested an accessible due to my mother's mobility issues which was acknowledged. I was assured this would be reserved. 1-2 weeks before our stay I again e-mailed the hotel and was assured this was reserved but when we arrived it was not. I mentioned this to the reception and have to say she was very understanding and looked for an accessible room but none available until following day which she would then make available to us. The accessible room 209 was big but the bath is too high and dangerous for someone with mobility issues and not enough hand rails in the bathroom especially near the sink. Surely when I booked and requested the accessible room and it was confirmed it should not have been given to another guest. The receptionist on the day was excellent and did make every effort to find an accessible room.

The location of the hotel is amazing and so is the transport accessibility. There is nothing really to complain about the actual hotel experience but nothing to be excited about either (except for waffle machine at breakfast!).

« Best location in Brussels »

We have been numerous times at this hotel, good service, clean and extremely well located. Breakfast Buffet has been extended to 11:00 which is great. The restaurant serves good belgian food if one doesn't feel like stepping out. Checking out this time was a little painful, system problems and a trainee, but we survived it.

« Very nice hotel in great location with helpful staff but some inconvenient, impractical design in the room, »

I stayed in Room 237 and there are some problems with the layout. First the couch is way too big for the space and interferes with the use of the desk. The couch should replaced with something small or removed entirely. The tall black light requires the use of the only outlet avaialable at bedside. As I customer who needed this plug for a medical device, it was frustrating and inconvenient to also not have use of the brightest light in the room. Another solution should be found for the lamp. The bathtub is similarly not the right fit. It's oriented backwards so the head rest is where the faucet it. The room is pretty, clean but there are some things that are not practical. Like the couch and standing lamp, it seems like this piece was incorporated into the room without considering practicalities. This is a design flaw. On the positive side, the room is very clean and bright. Loved the amenities and large TV. The staff was helpful and the breakfast very good. The desk staff were super helpful in making reservations for me and providing maps and walking instructions. I would stay here again.

As before warm welcome, room ready all in order. Buffet Breakfast as usual, with extended hours (11 am) which is great. Check out was slow and a little difficult, systems problems in addition to trainee present. Will go back!

« A nice experience in the heart of Brussels, but a bit quirky »

The hotel is in a perfect location, just between Brussels Central Station and the Grand Place. The staff is very friendly, and the Superior Room that I choose was very nice and comfortable. I have stayed there before and will stay there again. There are always some quirks, though. First of all, whatever cleaning material they use for the hallways leaves an odd, and to me bad, odor in the hallways, a kind of overly-sweet sickliness. The reception also usually seems a bit chaotic. When I arrived, rather late this time after 11pm, it took several minutes before someone let me in. Apparently, they could not hear the bell that I was ringing from the outside. Also, their billing system seems to have failed on the day that I checked out, so I had to give them my credit card information again the day after I checked out. Other than that, though, very pleasant.

Overall it was very pleasant. The reception area had an overpowering smell of air freshener. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had a pleasant view of the street below with very good windows that kept the noise out. The hotel is in a great area and parking is very easy and cheap. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We chose not to have breakfast as it we felt it was expensive considering the choice of cafes around. We have stayed here before and would come again.
