« Convenient situation and helpful staff »

The hotel is functional. The bed was comfortable, WiFi, TV and shower worked well. The room was also quiet with little noise heard from either outside or other guests. There was an unpleasant smell in our room, presumably from the drain in the bathroom. However, my brother in the adjoining room did not have this problem. The fire alarm went off on the Saturday morning. We were already dressed so it did not cause us such a problem, but appears to have woken some other guests. I'm sure these two criticisms are just unfortunate on this occasion, so would not deter is from booking the hotel again.

Room OK. Reception on arrival pleasent and efficient. Breakfast service appalling Only tables available were dirty. Some items missing as they had been used up such as jam etc. No one available in your restaurant to get it remedied. After having to eat off trays because of the dirty tables we later saw what we found to be assistants They were not immediatelly recognisable because they were in everyday casual clothes looking like a badly dressed customer who had got up late. There was no one to be found in reception that I could report this to either during our meal or when we left the hotel.

« one of worst services i experienced in a hotel »

I stayed for 4 nights First 2 nights were with a disgusting smell in the room from sewer stystem (toilets) I complained after the first night at 8am in the morning and answer was given it can be looked at only after 10am (why is there the 15min fix advertisting ??). i was out all day and when i came back late in the evening nobody new about anything ...the staff looked at 2 folders without any remarks. so I had to stay in the same room. was another disgutsting night. Only when I protested before the 3rd night this was changed and I could go to another room. i was promised to get a price reduction for the first two nights and would receive an email but nothing happened since 1 week !! its a joke. and now its a joke that i get a second reminder of my feedback ... really, worst hotel experience from IBIS and overall i had so far.

« Great Location »

We used this hotel for a stopover on a long drive south. It was a good choice. Location is superb, being in the town centre and only a few minutes from the Chateau. There is no restaurant but this is not a problem in the city centre location. There is secure underground parking under the hotel. We had a good night's sleep and enjoyed a typical French breakfast in the morning.

« Great for the price, pity Ibis tried to take more money than approved. »

The Room was good for the price. It was nice having breakfast provided. We paid in full back in July 2017. This was also noted by reception as we left. We also received two emails stating we had paid in full. (Facture_ibis Château de Fontainebleau_H10….pdf) Yet for some reason someone from Ibis Fontainebleau has accessed my Visa Card and tried to charge us an extra $97.71 AUD. There is no reason for this. My bank has also recognised this attempt by Ibis as a non approved payment and has now frozen my credit card, which has now caused great inconvenience for our holiday travels. Can you rectify this ASAP!!!!
