Good staff, superb breakfast and delicious evening meal. Comfortable bed, good bathroom facilities and nice refreshing spritz drink in reception. However, no details about Versailles in room, poor room service menu and lack of good choice with restaurant dinner menu. One family permitted pizza and another told no as they were in wrong seating area, yet both families were in same part of dining room. Poorly lit garage underneath hotel, did not feel safe at all due to garage doors being continually open. Entrance and exit to garage crazily on outside of hotel entrance, meaning if it was raining you would easily get wet. Such an entrance should be inside the hotel reception area and should be served by the lift for those traveling with many cases. AND the biggest turn-off and huge disgrace was the fact that my credit card was pre-charged an extra €100 for incidental charges, which we had to use by charging our meal to our room to ensure that the extra was used. No regard at all for the fact that paying by foreign credit card is hit by currency charges of 2.95% per transaction, which meant that I was charged an extra €2.95 for the privilege of incidental charges!!! This is wrong in so many ways!! Other than the credit card thing the stay overall was satisfactory, but being truthful I would not stay at the hotel again!!

Part business part pleasure. I have stayed here many times. It is cnvenient to the attractions of Paris Centre Ville but without the congestion and hassle of using a car there. At the same time, ersailles offers its own charm with great eating establishments, a superior market and of course the Palace. Novotel offers clean, updated and convenient place to call a base. Staff are beyond friendl6 and helpful. Restaurant, like most Novotels, is superb.

I loved the property, and found the staff very helpful. The hotel is modern, and clean, and has a very refined ambience that makes both staying and receiving guests very easy. My family loved the property too, and for the exact same reasons. The children's corner at the front was an extremely useful idea!

Arriving on a sunday late, the reservation made by myself directly to the hotel was cancelled by nobody knows who. Lucky me , there were rooms available. I asked several times during my stay for explanations why my reservation was cancelled without any action from my side and nobody could explain. I do not trust any more this hotel. I could not really feel in a general way the interest of hotel to have a nice stay. Maybe they have too many clients. I will not come back !

« Did the job but wasn't as expected »

I was in Paris for a wedding. 1- There were no bath towels in my room 2- The reception staff assured me prior to me arriving on a telephone conversation that hair dryer would be in the room whigh there wasn't. 3- When I asked for an iron which is something that should be kept in quantity - I was told to go to another visitors room and knock on the door and ask for it which caused me to be late for the wEdding and me having an argument with the user's of the iron who were also going to the same wedding. 4- I tried calling the room service numerous times and the phone wasn't answered. I was recommended this hotel by the groom and expected it to be of good standard being Novotel as I have stayed at other branches in othere countries. Overall disappointed.

« Great hotel for visiting Versailles »

Good location, 30 minute walk to main Versailles entrance, 20 minutes to the dragons gate entrance but this doesn’t open as early as the main entrance although a great exit point to aim for. Cab from hotel to entrance 13 Euro. Cab to Versailles train station to get into Paris 15 Euro. Excellent rooms, reasonable food and limited underground parking but great if you can find a space. Sunday appears busier than other days probably due to the musical fountains at Versailles. Overal a great hotel for visiting Versailles but not the greatest location for a day trip into Paris on the train but all in a great place to stay.

Food in restaurant was good. The bed was OK. The only issue we had was that there was a mild sewer smell coming out of the sink and toilet rooms. Since we were there only 2 nights we did not change rooms but kept the doors closed for those 2 rooms and had the window open until we went to sleep.

Very helpful front desk staff sorted out a difficult situation with our visitor in a wheelchair. Note that the disabled toilet at the hotel needs further work so that a wheelchair user can use the toilet without assistance. The fold down baby changing table does not fold out of the way and blocks access to the toilet for a wheelchair.
