My rooms' bathroom was not very clean, mould in the shower. For the price of the room I also would have expected more toiletries ie shower cap, body lotion etc not just a shower gel dispenser. Whilst the restaurant looked very luxurious the quality of the food was very ordinary. However the location for us was second to none and the service from staff was excellent.

Check-in staff are friendly and professional, process quite fast. Rooms are somewhat small, but work fine for an airport hotel. It's relatively convenient to the Roissypole train station and CDG itself if you take CDGVAL (not the shuttle bus - just don't do it!). From CDG, there is a lot of walking. We had arrival service from Blacklane, which made finding the hotel much easier and faster - great service. We like the Novotel enough that it's our go-to at CDG - especially the restaurant, which lets you know you're in France right away!

Terrible air-conditioning and extremely poor management

I booked the suite and was given one of the rooms on Level 6. Upon entering the room we noticed that the room was slightly warm and stuffy, and the aircon thermostat in the bedroom area did not light up when the temperature was shifted down to the lowest. Only the thermostat in the living room worked. We told the front desk to get it checked as we left for dinner. Was promised they would send a technician in. We came back >1hr later - still the same situation. Went down to reception again and was told they were trying to bring down the temperature in the entire hotel and it should "improve in 10-15 mins". We waited >30 mins and again it felt the same. We went down again and the Manager had no solution other then to say "we are waiting for the technician to come back to the hotel". Could only offer a downgrade to a smaller room or to get the windows opened in our suite. What infuriates me the most is the nonchalant attitude and uncaring body language displayed by the Manager. At no point did he apologize nor offer to make up for it with eg. free breakfast. At least try to pacify your customer rather than give out the "take it or leave it" vibe! Maybe he is so confident because the hotel is in such high demand so it doesn't matter if he loses any customers. It was only after I said I want to quit the hotel and move to the Hilton and asked for a full refund that he apologized for the poor service. I suspect that this is not the first time that the suite rooms has had air-conditioning problems as the cold attitude of the Manager suggests to me that he is used to guests complaining about it. When we were checking in there was also another guest who was complaining to reception about the same problem. So ridiculous that the supposedly best/most expensive room in your hotel does not have fully functional air-conditioning! Also - no one picks up at the reception desk! We tried to call a few times and in the end had to keep going downstairs to speak to staff. At no point did staff come up to our room to see for themselves what exactly the problem was - despite my invitation to come up. What kind of customer service is this?! I had to pay 325 euros to stay at the Hilton that night (compared to my original booking at Novotel for 199.81 euros) I will never stay at your hotel ever again.

The "superior room was without AC and not opening windows

I had booked a superior room. I was given room 411 that was stuffy and a hotel personnel person told me that the AC was not working. I went down ad asked for another room, to be given 412.The same thing. The hotel personnel person opened several other rooms inn the same wing and were all the same All the rooms were made up Apparently at the reception they knew that this was the case, but "a subhuman" like me could stay there After over an hour I was given 427, and after the window was opened it was possible to stay there The hotel is very conveniently located and for this reason they can afford to behave this way ONLY IN FRANCE!

Noisy building noises from air-conditioning or lifts

The room was acceptable, except the provision of paper cups instead of china was poor, another small table is required and air conditioning was inadequate. In addition, when we raised the problem of a recurrent high pitched squealing noise from the ceiling area with reception and maintenance no effective action was taken.

The suite was huuuge. Perfect for 2 kids 2 dogs, and mom and dad. Gorgeous breakfast restaurant with nice food. You could even fry your own eggs. Only stayed one night for travel at CDG the next day. It was across the street from our terminal.

Looking forward to our last night and being relaxed and rested before our 10 hr flight home. The room we had was on the Executive level 6th Floor. The room was well over 80 degrees and housekeeping came by our room and stated the air was on and working. The overall room was clean and we felt for the price of lack of Ac and an unrestful stay it was way over priced.
