We are frequently world travellers sometimes depending on the offers ,reviews and type of transport we book hotels with parking area.. So was the case of Novotel Maastricht. Positive Impressions ☆The welcoming from 2 adorable young recepcionists from which I don't have unfortunately their names but they were at the Hotel at the 1rst of January 2019 ...(so please award them). ☆2nd An amazing Housekeeping LUCY giving all the informations and taking care of the rooms like nowhere else except from Dubai and Bangkok.. We even thought she was Housekeeping manager perfect englisch and extrem efficient.. ☆A great help from MITCHELL at the recepcion after the bad things HAPPENED Now to the Hotel as itself ▪Great location ▪Big and comfortable rooms ▪Good breakfast options ▪Good amenities // Acceptable prices ▪Comfortable beds /Lounge ▪Clean Restrooms and shuttle bus service BAD THINGS BAD EXPERIENCE ▪The Housekeeping manager JAN knock our door and opened it without waiting to any response even if the DO NOT DISTURB badge was hanging on the door..After the issue he said he wanted to check the fridge to see if there is one bottle of water ..Which is for their jobs but it was inappropiate from him when the room is already busy ans even though he wanted to go inside without allowance .. After that I wanted to lock our room but the Door lock was broken something that not even in a 3 stars Ibis hotel in Bangkok or Mexico happened to us before.. I REPORTED TO THE DESK with MITCHELL hope this got repaired already.. ▪ The old Cook Lady at the restaurant taking care of the buffet and doing eggs / omellettes and what ever they offer to the guests has a really really bad mood or maybe she had a bad hair day which is not an excuse , she was not nice to the guest and to the kitchen Personal too including a young guy working at the bar and restaurant with asian roots and extremely efficient but with that kind of chef you are just scare to make any kind of mistake through your shift .. ▪ Last but not least at the end of our stay I wanted to get a E-bill again on my email as I am gold member and sometimes I do the FAST CHECK IN // FAST CHECK OUT but to be sure about the bill i wanted to have it again ..So meanwhile MITCHELL was busy attending other guests the Young lady SANDRA which also drove the Shuttle Bus at the 2nd of January 2019 accepted my room keys to do the check out she looked at the system and ask her collegue something in Dutch from which I understood " PREPAID ALREADY" She came back to her place and told me the bill stills open i said NO its already paid I filled my fast check in // check out with my creditcard infos too..so i knew is already paid and she said NO THE CITY TAX AND THE PARKING still opened..Mitchell checked it again I showed her the bill via email she was very unpolite rude and arrogant and at the end she gave me a printed bill and Mitchell gave me the last info about the Hotel.. Is incredible how a nice stay can be shadowed by arrogant and bad mood personal all the magic from the rest of the Staff got killed with this situation .. As i told Mitchell i will put this review on tripadvisor // Google Local guides // facebook // My blog and INSTAGRAM .. For the rest I can say if i would have the opportunity to stay in this hotel again I would def. do it again .. Hoping they can improve in thesw kind of issues and of course because the location is pretty good .. Thank you Novotel Maastricht for reading this and wish you a successful 2019 ..

Expectations not meet, somewhat old fashioned hotel with minimal accessorizes in the room, only outdoor swimming pool and against expectations not really extensive breakfast choice. Room big enough and of course everything was very clean

We arrived at exactly 14:00 which was supposed to be the check in time, there was a que as it was only one employee to serve all visitors, it took us one hour to get in the room and the room was not cleaned and ready... There was no cabinet brush and waste teen in the toilet, no amenities and the refrigerator had only water. Overall very polite personnel but not enough to serve all people. The offered price was good but not worthwhile Formsache a quality and service.

V cosy bar area.nice modern rooms.plenty of parking.helpful staff .short drive to Christmas market in maastrict city centre.would definitely visit both maastrict and this hotel again.good location for stopover between ferry and central europe

The stay was fine... check in was smooth. The restaurant charges were not clear and staff were odd. They were also not really used to children. Our request for additional bread for our 3 year old was met with quizzical looks and uncertainty - how hard is it to supply bread at dinner, we were happy to pay for it.

Disappointed that had to pay for parking. Would have liked proper cups and glasses, not disposables. Coasters would have been nice to put cups/glasses on instead of furniture. Dinners were nice. Staff friendly and helpful to us, non-Dutch speakers.

The hotel had a great atmosphere and really friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was superb - great selection - thank you Chef and friendly waiting staff. Guy and Melanie at Reception were extremely helpful in suggesting places of interest and generally were very helpful in supporting our many queries! From check in to check enjoyed our stay. Only service in the bar can be much better. Waiting to get a drink for 20min and being ignored by the lady working behind the bar is not okay. The great welcome from the reception team is how it should be everywhere not only with Accor. A 5* star welcome in a 4* hotel. Keep the spirit up. Good breakfast with variation of products. Definitely would stay here again when visiting Maastricht and the area.

Easy to access the building, big free parking lot nearby, also big paying parking lot for the hotel. The room is equipped as required, the bed was comfortable, not too soft, not too hard, right good. The breakfast was also perfect, many variations of foods and drinks. The staff was extremly kind and willing to help. Check-in and check-out times were very short.

Stay for one night, dinner in the restaurant was OK and tasty, breakfast was standard and OK, but in general the overall impression has been, that it was business as usual. Mainly the attention by the staff was low: - sitting in the bar, but no-one show-up to take the order, needed to go to the bar to get it there - asked and explained how to split the bill, but got a different format, needed to asked twice until I got a correct bill - has been stated by the staff, that online check-in makes things much more difficult. Better to do not next time. We are in year 2018 ! - room 402 right next to the elevator, which was loud. Basically I created a profile in Accor hotel account, where I stated as room preference to have a room away from the elevator. So why filling-in such profile ? - asked at the reception how far the the old-town area will be away, but NO map offered or at least a verbal explanation how to get there
