Although we had a privilege room it was quite small & were provided with paper cups for our tea which I think is ridiculous. There is also no restaurant & they only provide microwave meals.

I am Sorry bur this is the worst Mercure Hotel I have stayed in. The standard is quite low and not what one expects from Mercure. The hotel is old, and the price of the rooms is quite high given the quality it offers. I paid 2 rooms for total of 360 euros, more than I paid the night before at le grand hotel de Cabourg, Which was fantastic. Your hotel Seems like a real rip of. I am lojal to the Accor Brand But actually I was mislead when booking your hotel. Should jave gone for a cheaper and a better choice such AS entre Terre et mer. All in all a very disapointing stay.

« Reliable basic hotel in a great location! »

The services available at the Honfleur property were not as good as the services at your property in Bayeux where we had stayed the previous 2 nights. The reception desk was often unstaffed because they were dealing with other duties like the bar. The quality of the breakfast was not nearly as good as in Bayeux. The dining room experience was much less pleasant. It would have been helpful if, when I asked about where I could park, the reception desk had told us it was available behind the hotel.

« Hotel OK - Service for Accor Gold Card holder not good »

Hotel OK. As a Club Accor gold card holder - I didn't receive the service I expected. I can understand and accept that a room upgrade was not possible. At all other Mercure & Novotel hotels that i stay at - I get free parking and a drinks voucher. At checkin - i asked about the parking charge and was told I must pay - even for Gold Card holder. I had to ask for a drinks voucher - the receptionist was not happy. When i got to the room - there was only 1 bottle of water in the refrigerator - even though my booking clearly was for 2 people. I had to ask at reception - again, the response (& attitude) i got was that i was asking for something that wasn't allowed. When my wife & i went for drinks at the bar- i was told the drinks voucher was only for 1 person. I stay at many Accor hotels and this is the first time I've been told this.

Staff were as pleasant and helpful as ever. Over the past 15 yrs we have stayed at the hotel over 30 nights and enjoyed a bath affter golf or a day out. Now no bath tubs in the hotel - why? Not the first French Mercuure Also as a Le Club Accor we have enjoyed a welcome drink.This time one for me but refused for my wife. Only ever happened twice before in over 50 Accor hotels we have stayed in. These 2 points make me wonder why i pay 170 euros each year

Reception was excellent. I spoke French to the receptionist and we only discovered later that she was American! The hotel was ideal for our needs: safe parking, fine for our dog, and ideally located.

I am a regular user of the hotel and generally am very satisfied, it meets all my requirements. However on this occasion I was disappointed to find that my room was not ready on arrival and I waited in the foyer for at least one hour. The room is supposed to be ready at 15.00hrs, I arrived at 15.10hrs. Although I was upgraded to a superior room, I found little use for the additional bits and pieces. What is worse there was no English Breakfast Tea in the room.

« Not as good as expected! »

The hotel is very conveniently situated and benefits form locked (payable ) parking and very friendly staff. Full marks on all those aspects. However, we were disappointed in the facilities in the room, scruffy chair with split upholstery, shower head that had to be hand held and was very heavy, very thin towels, no drawers or cupboards in which to place small items such as underwear, medication, medicaments, make-up or other personal items. I need to be gluten free so always bring my own breakfast cereal, but a charge of 16 euros for a small glass of orange juice and a spoon full of scrambled egg seemed excessive. On our third and fourth mornings I was able to take a banana from the fruit bowl which was very much appreciated.

« Good but a couple of minor issues »

Very good - however internet provision - possibly not ideal - open wifi is a risk - specific user/pwd is essential to minimise hacking risk - so I did not feel secure to use my work laptop. No USB sockets provided near the bed for charging devices
