The location of this hotel is great, Greenwich is lovely and with the DLR you are well connected to the city. I've stayed at this hotel before and always had a newly refurbished room, which are lovely. Good value for money. This time, I got an "old" room. The towels were paper thin and smelled. As did the bed linen. Nothing worse than waking up, smelling like sour bed sheets, take a shower and still smell because the towels smell the same. Not impressed and an unnecessary boo boo in my book.

« Relaxing Long Weekend »

A very pleasant long weekend stay: I'd booked a weekend at North Greenwich (Sat. & Sun.), but needed to travel up to London on the Friday afternoon and back on the Sunday evenning, on the coach, via Hammersmith bus station. Had time to visit the Imperial War Museum before checking into the hotel on the Friday; a pleasant walk between the hotel and North Greenwich, Sat, & Sun, and had time to visit the Greenwick Observatory before returning to Hammersmith on Sunday in plenty of time to get my coach back home. Will come again, next time I need to visit Greenwich / North Greenwich.

Very cramped room, annoying had to go up two floors for use of an iron, hotel ran out of milk for the rooms, and didn’t provide us with any for coffee / tea facilities!! Staff not very helpful in trying to get us any milk!! Very little wardrobe/draw space, little surface space to put anything!

« Smelly room, stinky customer service »

First, my partner and I arrived and were assigned our room. Upon entering the room we were confronted by the overwhelming stench of food apparently, according to a hotel employee, due to a malfunctioning vent in the restaurant below. We called down to the front desk and the staff there instructed my partner to come down while they looked for another room. We were assigned a new room and this room smelled of sewerage. Once again, we were assigned a new room. We unpacked and attended a wedding at the nearby hrs, it was WAY too warm. We turned on the air conditioning in an attempt to cool the room, but only the fan worked, the cooling feature was either broken or had been disabled for the season. Now, at close to 02:00 we were forced to call the front desk one more time. This time, the solution offered was a desk fan. My partner had to go down to retrieve the fan, which only made the situation slightly better. We left the following morning and told the front desk staff how displeased we were and were only offered a business card with the manager’s name on it and were told to write an email. My partner did just that and is still awaiting a reply. Essentially we paid for a place to sleep and didn’t get any rest. Very dissatisfied!

The only snafu I had was when I first got to the hotel. When I had made my reservation, I was given the choice of adding the ability to check in after 9 a.m., which is a great thing to have. Upon my arrival, the person checking me I said there were no rooms available. After explaining that I reserved with this option, and showing my reservation a couple of times to the staff member, a room appeared. In the future, it will probably be better to tell a person that he or she cannot check-in until the normal time versus lying and saying a room is not available when there is one. Besides this occurring, I had a lovely time. It is situated fairly close to the station along with being around a lot of restaurants and things to see and do. I was also pleased with the amenities in the hotel.

When checking in I was advised that I would need to pay despite the room having been booked by our corporate booking team. I then had to locate the email to show which date I had booked whilst the receptionist had to look through every email from that date to eventually find that payment had been authorised. It therefore took over 15 minutes before I could check in. I had a further delay the following morning trying to get a breakfast token due to the queue of people waiting to check out.

Started poorly taking 15 mins to check in. Bathroom extract fan had dust & dirt on the wall and ceiling. Ironing board was missing 2 of the rubber feet making it unstable.

Staff service excellent but Internet access very difficult. The Manager at Reception (Lithuanian) and assistant (from Poland) were very friendly and helpful. Sadly I neglected to get their names. The Internet access on the free computer kept timing out on me as I was trying to book flights, which was very stressful.

Pillows were so hard we hardly slept all night,we were in a disabled room which gave a lot of room but I felt I was staying in a care home and it smelt like one.Mirror in bathroom showed a lovely reflection of my stomach as it was wheelchair height.Fan in bathroom was on all night,which added to not being able to sleep.
