Among the Accor property that I have stayed in, I think this is the worst experience. The room is hot, though we set up to 18 degrees Celsius. When we complain to the staffs, they mentioned it is because centrally controlled so they cannot do anything. It was a very dissapointed answer, because we are not used to sleep in a 25 degrees room temperature. They said what they can do is to check if something is wrong with the filter, but no follow up or news after complaining. The location is also quite far from places of interest, but they provided hourly free shuttle to Myeongdong.

Free shuttle bus to Myeongdong and Insadong every hours! Make it easy to access that 2 famous place for shopping. Near subway station and all staff is helpfull and polite, i will stay here again for my next visit in Seoul.

« Great Location, Great Service, Enjoyable Stay! »

A home away from home. Accor accommodations are always in great locations with amenities (such as: train station, convenience store, shopping and eating strips) a stone throw away. The shuttle service to and from Incheon Airport is also highly convenient and coveted for first time travellers. Value was excellent with the 3 nights for the price of 2 promotion and I only rate the Sleep Quality as Average because although it was a great experience staying in the Ondol room for 3 of the 6 nights, it was quite tortuous since that timber floor is so darn hard. I came to realise though after visiting a SPA that Koreans love hard floors, their version of relaxation is to plonk right down onto even a tiles marble floor. All I can say is "been there, done that" and although the wife didn't mind it, I recommend to only try it if you know what it is like sleeping on a hard heated wooden floor with a firm futon because it is unforgiving, especially if you are a side sleeper!

The room is old and the location also inconvenience. Only shuttle bus services and airport bus outside the hotel as advantages. I could not consider to stay again unless they got renovation and more promotion in the future.

Close to the Nandaemun market and the subway it was an ideal location.. Clean and a good service from the staff was much appreciated..Breakfast was a good choice of Asian and European .. Pool sauna bar restaurants .. yes everything was there.. will surely return to this hotel..

Location was close to the subway and the hotel provide free shuttle bus to downtown area. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. We tried the breakfast and it was really good, had a lot of selection of western and asian food.

Back to Seoul, especially at Grand Ambassador Seoul its feeling like back to my 2nd home. For these trip i have booked 2 rooms for 4 notes (7-11 April 2017) but the problem as Accor Platinum Member, these hotel only give me 1 person to use Lounge at level 16. Its seem like not make a sense where i come with 4 people (including me) but only 1 person can enjoy the Lounge facility!! Compare to other Accor Network (Like Novotel, Mercure etc) where they can give me minimum 2 People can use the Lounge! ITS NOT FUNNY WHERE THE HUSBAND CAN HAVE B'FAST / DINER BUT THE WIFE JUST EAT OUTSIDE?? So at the end i'm not use any single time for B'fast / Diner. Hope the next time visit to these hotel, They already upgrade the benefit for Accor Platinum Member. The rest service its excellent!.

i stay with my wife but they told me that members benefits are member only. i travel other country that they give 25% discount at hotel restaurant but korea is no. they asking joint korea hotel member ship and can get 10% discounter.

Chek in and check out really fast. Pool really clean and great. Everything seems to be handle really good. The great thing about this hotel is the concierge, the lady are even better. They always smile and bowl. and they do it naturally, seems coming from their heart. When we asked for something, we feel liked as if we are their family. Feel like home.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, though we haven't had the chance to experience the whole facilities, but for sure we stayed there for many good reasons, such as locations, full facilities, beautiful hotel view from our room, and also nice room service we had tho it was pretty late and the kitchen that served Asian food was closed already.

The service provided by Grand Ambassador Seoul is outstanding. All staffs are friendly and helpful and I feel welcomed and being taken care. Although the hotel is not exactly locating at the key shopping area, the transport is quite convenient. Hotel is providing free shuttle bus to downtown nearly every hour. And there are airport bus stopping just outside the hotel. Metro station is just around 5 - 10 mins walk.

It was very pleasant stay at the hotel. Hotel staff were very courteous and professional. It was very close to the subway and also provide shuttle bus to the Myung Dong Shopping district. We always stays this hotel and it has never disappointed us. We will definitely stay again when we go back.

Pullman is very professional as there are some parcels that i requested to send to the hotel first even before I checked in the hotel. They kept those parcels nicely and helped to send to my hotel room after checked in. They even advised us on what shuttle bus to take if we want to go to Myeong-dong which is free under Pullman. Hope i got another chance to visit Seoul and stay in Pullman again!!

« My stay at Grand Ambassador 17-20 Nov 2016 »

I booked an executive room with 2 beds for 2 nights . On the 3rd night I booked a 3-bed standard room . The last time I stayed in the hotel was 5 years ago . I was disappointed to find out that the service and facilities have gone down considerably . The next time I go to Seoul I will book in another hotel . Here's why ; 1. The executive room on the executive floor is small . It was very cramped for 2 people .There were no toothbrushes, razors shower gel in the bathroom . The shampoo , conditioner , lotion was of poor quality . I had dry flakes in my hair after using the products . The bath robes and towels are worn out . 2. Just as we were about to drift to sleep the Airc conditioning unit died . I called the desk and was informed that since it's late autumn and the temperature outside is 15 deg C the central AC is turned off . But I argued that the room temp is 26 deg C . I was told to open the window . It's a very tiny window at the farthest end of the room . 3. Our bfast was at the executive lounge . I was informed that if we wish to go to the buffet bfast we will have to pay for it separately . The spread in the lounge was average . Coffee was bad . Fruit juice is from a tin / carton not freshly squeezed . 4. Back from bfast to change for my meeting met the housekeeping staff and asked her if she can put toothbrushes and razors she told me the razor is not free . 5. Back from my meeting I noticed that the bathroom was not properly cleaned 6. We were expecting a 3rd friend to join us for 19th Nov night so we asked for a 3-bed room . I asked if I can use my free night . I was informed that the free night applies only to a standard room rate so I have to pay extra for the 3- bed room .

« The most unorganised hotel I have ever stayed !!!! »

1. night it was so hot in the room, I ask for turn off the heater, the answer was, sorry not possible it is central heater here. Try to open a window, hmmm all night hearing everything from the street, how should I sleep ?? So I have called the manager on duty, after trying to communicate like 20 mins he understood what I want to say, actually is very difficult to explain him something in eng. (5star hotel staff ??) So it was 2 nights anyway, but !!! I have reserved for 3 night, so I called the hotel that my friend is coming and will stay in the room for 1st night, because I accidentally missed my flight, so it was confirmed. Normal process, my room was paid already, just my friend has to guarantee to room (minibar etc.) around 280000 krw, so when I was checked in the 2nd night, I talked to them to refund his deposit and took from my card, because he will have his own room and I have my own. After all now the hotel refund me his deposit to my card and my card was never taken out of money. It is just 2 rooms !!!!!!! with different name and credit card !!!!! You have to ask your staff if they are not sleeping while working ??!!! I will definitely never book this hotel again and would not recommend for any one who is looking for 5 star hotel price and service, because this one is only the name and price is present as 5 stars but service based on ZERO !!!!

The Grand Ambassador Seoul would go extra mile to provide both comfort and satisfaction of customers. To even our disappointment, there was such inexcusable inconvenience and unprofessional service that caused to your stay less standardized and we would truly apologize for it. Please accept sincere apology regarding the room being too warm during your stay. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, we have a centralized one way HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air-Conditioning) pipe system that we can only use either AC or Heater at a time which means AC will be turned off in cooler weather and the heater is turned off in warmer weather. That was why you were not able to use AC in the room. But we have just finished renovation some of rooms on executive floor which can control individual heating and cooler system. I hope this will help your next visit. Thank you for your patience and understanding. It gave us the huge realization there are still so many things we would have to build up for the better hospitality leader. We would like to promise, based on the experience, we would more focus on the service providers’ training and maintain high standardized room’s quality to become the better service providing hotel in Seoul. (i.e. service, facilities) i was really sorry to bother them about my staying :) i couldn't be treated as a platinum member of accor because i stayed that hotel not paying cash but using my accor point. i asked them that the family trip was for celebrating for my wife's birthday and please welcome her, but nobody mentioned even "happy birth day" things.

Regarding the policy that has been recently changed, we have enquired about the terms & condition thoroughly to Accor Le club service team before changed it and finally revised it to offer all the benefits to the platinum member who actually made the booking and offer same benefits with additional charges if there is another party with the guest. Very friendly staff, good service and many options of restaurants. Concierge works fine and spa is good as well. Location is very ok. No complains at all during three days of our stay there. The wether in Seoul should be better, but it's not hotel's fault...

On this, my 6th stay in this hotel, I enjoyed myself ever so much. The reception staff is always a delight. I have been helped by James multiple times, and I always find him so efficient and friendly. The housekeeping staff here are really a slight bit more detailed than other hotels I've stayed in. They always top off the room supplies (and even provide some extras if they notice something has been completely used the previous day). They even changed the wine glasses and placed coasters on top to ensure that dust did not enter the glasses. The executive lounge was nice. The view was just stunning. Compared with the Novotel in Gangnam, the design of the lounge is a little dated and the food selection is more limited during happy hour. But the liquor selection is wider. I also really enjoy the shuttle bus service. I've never taken it before, but I took it to meet some friends in Myeong dong. It was super convenient and comfortable. It's a really nice service. My only complaint from this trip is about the bar. It was closed during my entire stay. I was there over a holiday, so I guess it was closed because of that. I had looked forward to using my drink coupons in there this trip, but had to settle for the lobby cafe. The room service menu also had an out of date wine list, and it was a bit annoying to order a bottle of wine. We finally got one, but it took more than 30 minutes to get the correct list and find a bottle on it that was in stock that we wanted.
