We checked in to the hotel early and our room was available. We struggled to find the room as there were no signs to the numbered room but as there were builders in the corridor, one pointed us to a very small spiral staircase. At the top, there were two doors quite close together. We entered the room and it was very small, dark and did not look anything like the rooms advertised on the website. The window did not open, and you could only see another building outside. The room was in need of refurbishment, had limited space and a musty smell. We decided that we couldn't stay in the room and went to reception to ask to see another room. We were given a key to the only other available room, which had been refurbished, however, the layout was very strange with the bed on a mezzanine floor using a spiral staircase to get up to it. The ceiling height was barely high enough for us and there was little room between the walls and the small double bed. Downstairs, the living space only contained 1 chair and a small desk plus the bathroom. There was no closet space or space to put suitcases and I would not imagine having two people occupy the space. After viewing the room, we decided that the room also was not suitable and went back to reception. Fortunately, the front office assistant was understanding and explained the hotel was undergoing refurbishment. There were no more rooms to offer so we requested a refund to which she obliged, thankfully. We appreciated the understanding of the fact that the hotel was misrepresented by the photos on the website and that there was no forewarning of the refurbishment being undertaken. The Hotel is in a very good location next to the old down and on the promenade but we will not be returning.

We were pleased with our stay. The hotel room had been recently renovated: new carpet, bed sheets, bathroom. Room was impeccably clean. Personnel was attentive to the needs and questions we had. WIFI connection was stable and fast enough. We are considering this hotel for our next stay in Nice.

Arrived late and was given a tired room with the bed on a mezzanine with some dodgy stairs - asked to change and it was done immediately - disappointed we didn't get any cosmetics (being a card holder) but these things happen - might look elsewhere next time

We booked a privileged double room (big size) and at the property we were said the we have an upgrade (to a seaview room), but it was half size the room we booked. Ofcourse there are also privileged room with sea view but they were already booked. Overall it was a good experience but for the future you should say this kind of things before you are making an “upgrade”. Thank you!

« Great location, amazing view! »

We stayed in one of the seaview rooms and it was perfect! The rooms and bathroom are compact but have everything you need. Then view from the balcony is amazing. Great location close to water, shops and restaurants and friendly service. Definitely recommend this property.

The room was very cosy but very comfortable, the balcony was lovely and we had a great view over the water. The bathroom is a bit squeezy but adequate for a short stay. The location is fantastic and all the staff were very welcoming and happy to assist with heavy bags up and down the stairs as there is no elevator in the building.

Uneventful until our second night when the water was only boiling in the bathroom. Reception dealt with the situation by upgrading us for which we're very thankful and the next day on checkout I was given a nice discount for the troubles. Great service and highly appreciated.

« Hotel placed in a good area »

The hotel by itself is lovely and placed in a good area (near to the city centre, opposite the sea). However I have two criticisms for the hotel: 1- I wasn’t impressed by the reception when I arrived to the hotel but the other days the receptionists were lovely abd pleasent; 2- The hotel has no elevator and no one of staff would help to carry a luggage!

Room lovely, quiet. Bed comfortable. Hotel very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good. My friend staying in room 201 however, found her room claustrophobic. But mine was good. Location suited us and sea lovely to swim in.
