Poor quality, first room I was assigned smelled awful as soon as I walked in and I immediately asked to be moved. The next room was ok but cleanliness and quality of bedding was seriously lacking for a hotel of this caliber. Pretty disappointed I stayed here, there are other hotels nearby that are cheaper and much more clean and comfortable

I was having a problem with the date of my reservation and standing at the desk, bag in hand and Minzhi Zhou gave a call to Marvin and they handled it immediately. I was so relieved. Then as usual was treated like family by everyone in the drive and at the door and restaurant.

Nice hotel nice facilities, very nice staff.. even when closed they serve u drinks..very nice.. like a home oppositebthe road is Macy’s mall & 24 hr pharmacy & supermarket back if 200-300 meters night club, massage parkour some Resturant joe, something.. location is A1!

The room was in poor condition. Furniture outdated and mismanaged. Bathroom tub fixture did not work when attempted to get water out of main faucet. When used the hose to fill the tub, the hose base leaked. When I pay $500 a night, I don't expect poor quality aged furniture moved in a position to block the curtains and view from the living room and perpendicular to TV impossible for anyone to watch the screen. Had to rearrange the furniture in the room to view the TV to a place where it once appeared to be. No entertainment on Friday or Saturday nights at the hotel. What is wrong when the reputation on Monday night is great and you can't afford to hire quality entertainment at the lounge for your guests on the weekend. this is embarrassing for your and insulting for guests who expect entertainment when they could stay at a similar priced hotel and be treated with much more style and quality. Even if I had to pay more for a room, given the difference in what i would be getting compared to this it would be worth it.

« Luxury stop over »

We needed an overnight in LAX and opted to go the extra distance to the Sofitel. We spent our daylight hours catching cabs to nearby attractions and it ended up being a better idea rather than staying on the tarmac with nothing to enjoy. The staff and services were very friendly and the room was excellent. OUr room was on the mountain side so it was lovely and quiet.

« Comfortable Room, Excellent Service »

We booked a patio room but felt it was not as spacious or comfortable as we would like. We called the front desk and, fortunately, were able to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite for a modest additional charge. The staff was very accommodating, the transition was smooth and the new room was very nice. Only drawback is that the suite did not have a full balcony (two doors to the outside but only Juliet balconies). Used the bar and restaurant and both were excellent. Also used room service which was fast and efficient. Overall a very good experience. Also requested and obtained a late check-out without any hassle.

Almost comfortable. I’ve never stayed anywhere that does not have a top sheet. My choice was to be hot or cold. The mattress was way too soft.

Regarding our Bed Experience, Sofitel offers a specific type of bedding which is French style and doesn't have top sheets, only the duvet/comforter that gives the feeling that you diving into clouds. The duvet replaces the sheets and is therefore cleaned after each stay. This bed is a branded bed and you'll find it in all our Sofitel in the world.
