« Good hotel »

Good hotel with nice large room. Bed are comfortable and bathroom is good enough. clean and with all amenities you need. Position of the Hotel next to Bercy and with a good parking a bit expensive. Restaurant is ok, nothing special but ok. Staff are some friendly except one lady and the reception who was pregnant was specially very impolite. All other were nice.

« Great stay for one night Paris visit »

While we weren't able to check in early, we were able to drop our bags and explore the city until later in the day. Staff was extremely friendly. Bar and lounge was trendy and busy at various times. Rooms were standard for European rooms. Smaller, but clean and had everything we wanted. Enjoyed the free bottled water.

Small rooms, poor service, very rude staff, b’fast spread which remains same each day, dirty linen, poor housekeeping. And they cheat. Failed to comply with the booking conditions and didn’t offer b’fast on all days which was displayed at the time of booking.

Firstly I would like to thank Novotel Bercy for accomodating us with a room earlier than checking time. although i am aware that you do not control street noise, our first morning in room 617 was extremely noisy with the CGT manifestation in the street near by.. As you can imagine after our long trip from Australia the first thing we wanted to do was have a shower and sleep. we couldn't sleep because of the noise, people protesting with megaphone, firecrackers, protesters chanting the same thing over and over. The bed in room 617 Needs a new mattress because it sags where each individual sleep on each side with the middle of the bed remaining firm, very uncomfortable. shower great water pressure, excellent water temp control but the shower door let water escapes unto bathroom mat. wet cold mat to step on to when you come out of a shower is quite unpleasant . Sufficient nice fluffy and clean towels as well as bed sheets. Room smelt very nice upon arrival. Toilets are really too small. Bathroom is really too tiny, didn't like plastic cup because toothbrush and toothpaste kept falling off.. Breakfast: lovely croissant and pain au chocolat. loved the do it yourself herbal tea bag, lovely scrambled eggs except for the first morning where they were cold. Every morning bacon was swimming in 1-2 inches of liquid fat, need to be drained and sitting on paper towel. Expresso coffee machine was a really nice touch . on all the 5 morning of our stay there was no potatoes left at breakfast we tried different time earlier and later but it didn't seem to make a difference. Also fruit juices especially grapefruit was a rarity and when present was removed by staff very quickly. Could you also please label your items especially when you are presenting lots of different cheeses (italian day), I was shocked to find out that the maitre-dit had no idea. I have noticed a very young boy working as a waiter, could you please check his age as he seemed way too young to already be working. I believe i also saw his brother working on the last day. the brother seemed to be in age but this young lad was not even old enough to shave yet. The young boy despite his very young age was extremely polite and very courteous. He did his job is a very professional manner. If you wanted to give an award for the employee of the month I'd love that he receive it. I am sure he will do extremely well in whatever career he chooses to pursue. smoking: although there is signage on the hotel main entrance about no smoking policy and risks getting fined if you do, there is no mention about smoking from the 6th floor balcony. I look for an information booklet in my room and found none. I ask a few staff members including cleaners which all had various feedback on the question. So I used to go outside at the front of the hotel for a quick cigarette, but one night I needed to make a long distance call to Australia and knew the call will take several hour so I went at the back of the hotel and found a comfortable sofa, to be told at around midnight that they needed the cushion inside and that they were locking that back door. May i suggest a smoking bench at the front of the hotel maybe tucked away on the side for person who have disabilities like I do. Also please provided more spacious family room, once that single bed get deployed there is hardly any room to move When I checked in i asked the receptionist to look in for us at the Novotel London Paddington for us. During the 5 days we were there no one from reception contacted us about it. It was only when we checked out that we found out that we were going to London with no where to stay that very night!! We frantically try to book a hotel from the Eurostar using their free wi-fi Everywhere was booked! We finally ended up booking night in a appartement in Hammersmith which cost us a fortune. That same evening i tried calling Novotel London paddington again they had no room and suggested that we stay at the mercure paddington for 1 night and then to go to Novotel paddington for the last night. I explain that this was what i had in mind on how i was to spend my holiday in London, packing repacking suitcases and catching taxis in between. In the end I called again Novotel paddington the next morning to check if they had had any cancelation but they still had no room, so we ended up at the Novotel London city south, where our stay was quite pleasant. Just to say that all this could have been avoided if the receptionist at Novotel Bercy had listened and executed what i had required of her to do. By not doing her job properly she got me all stressed out and end up arguing with my husband. Not exactly what I had in mind. Not happy at all with that receptionist. she cant even argue that she did not understand because I am French and therefore speak french. and gave the instructions in French. Thank you Novotel Bercy

The room was clean, comfortable and this year the air-conditioning worked! Breakfast is never going to anything but a buffet breakfast but your staff were active and attentive.

« Too noisy »

We were put on the 3rd floor facing back of the building. We stayed three nights and all three nights there were people taking loud, drunks talking and acting out being rowdy, music blaring, and motorcycles constantly going back and forth all night until 2am. Couldn’t get decent sleep. Lack of information provided regarding the museum tickets and not informing our family about museum closing day until the we decided to purchase the tickets on the same day really screwed our plans for our family trip to Paris. Otherwise, hotel itself was nice but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially people traveling with their family.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and very spacious. The bathroom has a shower and a large bathtub which is a great luxury to have a bubble bath in Paris. The couch/tv and desk area was large enough be comfortable watching a movie after a long day of sightseeing.

I love the place. Breakfast was excellent, clean and lots of selections (meats, cheeses and breads). Staff were great but there was 2 staffs probably that were not courteous. I guess there is always that 1 or 2. Room was decent, a little too tight for a queen bed and sofa but otherwise comfortable. Metro station (Bercy) was just in front of the hotel.

Very comfortable one night stay. Breakfast was very good and the attendants were restocking food frequently. The fresh juice and croissants were delicious. The hotel is in a safe area and is steps away from the Metro.

Sorry, but close to 300€ per night is just too much. Certainly for regular customers. I can understand that something special was going on in Paris this week, but it is easy enough to see who is booking a room, and you could then offer a &quot;normal rate&quot; for people who stay regularly in your hotel

« A Good Hotel »

I would not normally choose to stay in Bercy while in Paris, but I had business in the Finance Ministry so the location was convenient. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we could get to central Paris on the metro. The hotel is very good; we had no quibbles apart from the roadworks outside which is hardly the hotel's fault. The staff in particular were helpful and efficient. It would be nice if you could serve good hot chocolate at breakfast (this being France). The chocolate produced by the machine is undrinkable- it is far too sweet. The coffee, however, is OK.

The Novotel is situated in an ideal place with service just at a 3 min walk away. The Novotel provided excellent service such as friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. There were some great extras in the room such as the tea & coffee station and the complementary water in the fridge. To me this an added a great service as everyone need a cup of coffee early in the morning. Thank you I enjoyed my stay and would comeback.
