Room reasonably clean, staff reasonably helpful. As noted, the major discomfort was the heat of the room and inability to cool it down. Despite the presence of a thermostat and (presumably) a grill for air conditioning to come through, there was no capability of switching this on within the room. A very unpleasant experience, with little sleep. Unless rectified, I will be most unwilling to return to this hotel in hot weather.

We always love our stay at the Ibis Euston, and I'm sure will continue to do so. Breakfast is an important part of the experience, and over the years we have been staying with you we have noticed a decline in the breakfast. At the moment the choice of cereals is abysmal - just 3 ! and all poor ! Also why is the fruit salad presented in individual bowls ? I only eat certain fruits so like to help myself to the fruit. We think you should go back to the former good choices.

I can not understand, why the staff was not responsive and tried to arrange a room to be cleared and to inform me when the first available room is prepared, but waited until 14h to let me in. Once you have a customer, who has filled as a special request that will be arriving at 10h, to make the customer feel good and allocate a room. I can understand that this might be a case when there was a crowd that leaves the hotel at 12h, so the cleaning service needs to wait to clean the rooms, but this was not the case.

No didn't exist in your vocabulary as I was looked after with positive staff.I was impressed by the reception area and staff, no stuffy suites or ties but a vibrant fresh look worn by workers.

Twice at reception people walked past me and were served. The dinner service was very inattentive, to the extent i had to look for servers, and tables were not being cleared. Room was good, bar staff were good and breakfast was good so ???

As above. The only moan would be the tea bags in the room. You have a lovely welcome with a cold drink even a flannel and sweets but sadly the tea bags are awful so morning cuppa not pleasant . Apart from that great service

Not the best room I've had in this hotel (mostly been absolutely fine!) Flimsy door in room on first floor mean I heard a lot of passing conversation from the corridor. Almost in my room!!!! Could also hear the "doors are closing' recording from the lifts... Pillows were like boulders - although I found something softer amongst the spares on top of the shelves. Finally, please oh please can there be an off switch on the TV? The standby light was right in my face - had to drape two towels and wedge a piece of cardboard to finally block it out. Curtains also did not pull all the way across and could hear street noise through the window. Not double glazed.

The real let down with the stay was the check in experience, it was rather chaotic. I was told I had booked a twin room and despite my refuting this I was given a twin room. I eventually found my confirmation of a double and was told none were available. I dropped my bag and checked in later in the evening - only to be allocated the exact same twin room! It took an age to get a double and finally get to bed. The lack of staff behind the desk, with staff in the lobby, means there's no real queuing system with people hanging around and trying to grab the next available rep. Other than that the stay was fine - room was clean, breakfast decent. It was the check in that left something to be desired.....

I was very impessed with the hotel, it represents really good value for money.It is in a great location only minutes from Euston : if arriving by train. This makes it very convieniant for leaving luggage and picking up on the way home.The rooms are comfortable, quite and clean, all that is required in a city break. The breakfast offered something for everyone, the ingrediants were of good quality; it was very tasty . Best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are all very warm, friendly and helpful.
