The bed and pillows were remarkably comfortable but room very small. My friend had an issue with bad smell from the drains, very average dinner and breakfast. The hotel was adequate for our purpose to stay one night on a long journey. Good to have a locked car park but awkward to get out of.

We were very pleased with the location as it suited our itinery, and we have always enjoyed our stays in IBIS Hotels. However this stay did not live up to the standard we have come to expect for the following reasons: Firstly the explanation in relation to our complimentary drinks voucher was contradictory to what we have experienced in other French Ibis Hotels. Whilst we understand that it is at the discretion of the Hotel management, we were told that the voucher was for one drink only unlike the policy in English Ibis Hotels ! The staff did not seem clear on what the actual policy was. Secondly we took advantage of the express check out and it was only on our journey to our next destination that we discovered that we had been charged for two days breakfasts that we had not ordered or indeed had! On phoning the Hotel, we were told that the bill had been produced automatically, however it was acknowledged that we had not booked nor had had the breakfasts! We were assured that this would be rectified before the final account was settled, and that an email confirming this would be sent to us. However on checking our account the incorrect amount had in fact been deducted and we have still not received any confirmation from the Hotel. This is after we had contacted Accor customer service, explaining the problem, and who after speaking with the Hotel, confirmed that a refund would be paid in the very near future. To date (7th October)We are still waiting for the refund!! This is not the service we expect.

Comfortable and we would return if in the area again.

Second stay at this hotel - very convenient for the old town. Rooms are small but comfortable. Very accommodating - staff moved own car so we could park in the secure car park. Breakfast excellent but couldn't get an evening meal.

A pleasant stay apart from the smell from the drains - we were advised to leave the windows open and to shut the bathroom door which certainly helped. Nice big room although the description as 'garden view' looked out over a back yard. Good breakfast although on Sunday morning it was clear they were struggling to keep up with the number of people who were present for the meal.

As ever IBIS offered reasonable price (but not cheap in Chartres), secure parking and a good breakfast. The room was basic but clean. After taking the ferry to Dieppe, Chartres is just a 3-hour drive making it an ideal pit stop on my way to Limoges.

The hotel was the usual good standard of Ibis, with pleasant staff, good quality food and a comfortable bed, convenient for access to the Cathedral. Car parking was limited but adequate, shower room small but functional, the room was clean and well looked after. Some of your staff were excellent, especially under pressure at breakfast time, and very helpful at the bar and in the kitchen in the evening.

The room was a bit too small but the bed was comfortable. I dislike very much the soap bottle common to all the guests. I know that it is the same at all IBIS hotels but this is one very good opportunity to tell my thoughts high and loud... Breakfast was fine. Part of the staff at the counter was not professional enough. I required to use the points I had for the payment but one of the girls charged my credit card. I still need to check if the money was cashed back to my bank account>

Good reception, smallish room, restaurant we had to chase for menu,drinks and wine. Long time serving, food ok but nothing to rave about. Woken at 3.30am and again 5.30am by shouting and doors slamming. Do not think we wil. Repeat our stay at this particular hotel.

I stay here pretty much every year on my way down to and back from the south of France. In the past it has always proved a pleasant and reliable overnight stop. This year I was less happy with my experience. The hotel is well situated, clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced, as one would expect from an Ibis. It's a short (but steep!) walk up to the Cathedral Square and there is private garaged parking (expensive at nearly 10 Euro per night). So far so good - but this time service was slapdash and indifferent. On the outward journey, the breakfast bar ran out of croissants and, largely, bread and I was told brusquely "You will have to wait!". On the return journey the check-in experience was poor, the receptionist gave no welcome and rattled off the details of the frst room I had booked and handed me the key. When I pointed out I had two rooms reserved I got a curt "I haven't finished." This is not the level of service one expects.

We again stayed at this hotel which we have used many times before.We found the room to be smaller than we expected and below par for the ever increasing charge. Breakfast was poor.They seemed to have run out of virtually everything and not replenished. We will think twice about staying there again.

Reception good as well as car parking. Service in restaurant dismal, slow, had to ask for drinks, menu and chase for wine. Slow and not very helpful. Very noisy as 3.30am and again at 5.30am with shouting and banging of doors. must reconsider ever using IBIS for the future.

I have stayed at Ibis hotels, virtually since their inception. The standard of this hotel was not up to expectations. Reception staff were slow to recognise that we were standing there, both on arrival and departure. The room itself was OK but the bathroom smelt awful. I believe that there may be a leak around the shower base and that I der eath was stale water.
