« Dirty but adequate »

I found the room to be dirty and many things were broken or damaged. I only stayed one night, but had I stayed more, i would have been upset. This hotel was not worth the amount I paid for it.

« Really good service, beautiful decoration and excellent confort. »

I loved the hotel, really nice ubication although it was difficult for the taxi to get there. The bed was extremely confortable and the instalations were very clean and elegant. I think the breakfast can be better if it contains more variety of food.

« I was disappointed, the stay did not meet my expectations, but it was improved by some staff. »

- The reception staff were gracious and helpful. - There were no irons or ironing boards available for a multi day business stay - The lift decorations and corner trims were falling off - the shower was dirty - the basin was dirty - the mirror was cleaned with a dirty cloth - the breakfast was overpriced and the choice of breakfast looked limited in such a way as to require the most expensive choice. It is a business cost, but either way, it doesn't put choice of the customer first.

« I felt treated as a thief. »

Check-in process was perfect - employee was very professional. Room was OK - carpet looks dirty and old Check-out was terrible. I had asked and paid for a late check out (5pm). I arrived at hotel around 2:30pm to take a shower and to pack my clothes and everything was removed from my room because the clerk thought I had not paid for the late check-out but she didn't double check it and she treat me as a thief when I arrived at the hotel. I was traveling with my wife visint my son that is living in Paris for the first time. The receptionist didn't speak a good English so she had the conversation in French with my son. She didn't offer any excuse for this mistake. Manager in charge offer some excuse and he didn't want to charge me for the late check-out but I didn't accept it. I was so dissapointed that the receptionist and the manager didn't really offer an excuse for this mistake. I know errors my happened but I expected that a Sofitel hotel should have a better process to recognize their errors and treat their guests in a better way.

« not meet up my expection on a 5-star hotel »

I was told to be upgraded to a room. however, the room aircondition is not that good; when i asked for iron, the servicer person sent me an iron board having no cover, with lots of dirty, the iron itself is very old version, without steam... and the room service lan line always unable to connect, had to keep on trying.....

The staff was kind and usually pretty helpful. Hotel was really convenient to the metro. But the furnishings in the rooms could use up dating (chairs visibly worn, some things in the bathroom show quite a bit of age).

The hotel was wonderful. The only reason for not scoring it the top rating of a 10 was the location, which was further out from downtown than we would've liked, and it was difficult for the uber drivers to find.

« Great experience »

I reserved for a special date (wedding anniversary) and told I was going to arrive a little bit earlier. When we got to the hotel, Celia, who greeted us was so gentle and welcoming! She said our room was already set, and that we got an upgrade to a deluxe room. This warm way of receptioning changes everything, that’s a 5 star experience. The room was nicely decorated with flowers, some candies and even gifts from hermès! The room was big and very comfortable. Now it’s gonna be hard staying anywhere else while in Paris!

« Nice realxing stay »

Overall the stay was satisfactory. The room was nice, spacious and clean. The bed was nice and I slept well. The airco worked fine and kept the room cool. Two comments: I am getting tired of incorrect minibar calculations. I am overcharged every time (my 3rd time in this Sofitel) and it is very hard to get it corrected. I am truly considering emptying the minibar fully upon arrival and bring everything to the reception next time. Second comment is that I feel the balance between French language channels with English language channels is off. There are more Chinese channels than English ones...

I stayed in many Sofitels around the world. And Sofitel La defense is the 2nd worst one among them. They didn't meet my expectations. The hotel was old and falling apart.
