« Stay was OK but persistent check-in issue doesn’t seem to get resolved ... »

In spite of my Silver Accor profile clearly mentioning hypoallergenic room requirement and our travel agent explicitly repeating this in the bookings, EACH TIME I have checked into the Sofitel at La Défense I observed feather based bedding that had to be replaced. Last time this even resulted in the removal (not replacement) of the mattress cover ... resulting in a harder bed than usual ... the one big negative aspect of this hotel ... I hope the reception staff will take the comment I made about this at last check-in to heart and won’t ignore these requests in the future

Thank you for the room upgrade, I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the room service. I always look forward to staying at the Sofitel because I appreciate all the little things that are done to make me feel welcomed. The front desk called over to the restaurant, since I was there ordering dinner, to let me know the room would be ready in 5 min. The drink voucher as a thank you for waiting. The fact that you know me by name. All of these things make the experience even better, especially when travelling for business can sometimes be a drag.

« service great, rooms old and feel dirty »

The service at front desk was great and all very helpful. The negative part of my stays, is the room quality. It feels like no Investment into the rooms has been done for the last 30-40 years. The carpets, tables, chairs have hols and burns in them (ex smoker room).In the bathroom, tiles are broken, shower glas doesn't seal, shower head is on a hight for dwarfs. No power plug next bed, preventing using the mobile phone as alarm clock (standard today). Basically it is old school and will not attrack the next generation. Good part was the new television and the TV programs offered are great (multiple languages).

A very pleasant second stay at Sofitel La Defense. The room and sleep was very comfortable and clean - just as before and expected. So nice to have a bath after a long working day! I ordered dinner from room service which was very nice and tasty - although there is little variety for vegetarians (maximum 2 main meal options). I believe the same options are available in the restaurant also. Breakfast was lovely each morning - good variety of options available and great to have request options. I ordered two poached eggs with tomato and was asked if I wanted anything else with it - this is great service. WiFi connection is also very good Check out is simple, there was no queue. Lovely that Kristel remembered me from my previous stay 2 months before - a nice personal touch!

« Very peaceful and truly exceptional customer service! »

My stay at the Sofitel made my vacation so relaxing and stress-free. Not once did I hear any noise disturbances from my room, and after a long day of touring the city, it was great to come to a calm environment for rest. The room service was very fast. The front desk agents were so professional and courteous from check-in to check-out. It wasn’t a hip/trendy/youthful hotel, but that’s not what I came for anyway! The ONLY negative I can say is that the outlet cover next to my bed kept coming off, so that needs to be looked at in room 814! Other than that, I appreciate the hospitality during my first visit to Paris!

« Disappointing stay in a Sofitel »

As a faithful traveler to the Accor group (gold Accor member since years) I booked for the first time this Hotel in La Defense. My stay began with a warm welcome of the reception staff. The room was confortable, but nothing extraordinary, and un my eyes below the usual Sofitel rooms. At the arrival, the TV was not functioning and I had to call the reception to get it fixed. The office desk in the room is not really practical and seat is uncomfortable. But the worst was to come with the bathroom. The cleanliness of it was far below standards. The Shower tub was stoppered and the air exhaust mouth was full of dust. I took some picture and told the morning after the receptionist to get it fixed. This was done for my second night. Although this was fixed the same day, this problem demonstrates that the management is not checking how the cleaning of the roms is performed. Obviously no preventive checks are included in the room cleaning program. The problems noted were obvious problems that you can detect easily by looking at the rooms. This is not acceptable for a so called 5 star hotel and certainly not for the price paid.

« The hotel was a great experience »

The hotel was a great experience however felt a bit judged by the staff as we walked in, as a young couple we werent going to travel in shirt and tie and so when we turned up in a t-shirts and joggers we couldnt help but feel like the staff didnt welcome us. Checking we had booked before we even stepped foot through the door. Other than this the hotel was amazing and we throughly enjoyed our stay.
