The initial room provided on the 8th floor was outdated and the noise from the construction didn't allow for a restful sleep. I had to change rooms to the 3rd floor. The room service was excellent and always on time.

Good. The check in was not satisfactory. I had called in advance to have an extra bed in the room and the information was not recorded or prepared. The keys did not work. It took almost 30 min to check in. I had to come back and redo keys after the 1st day for the second day.

I loved the bed and pillows. The shower was good, but not great (hand held or rain shower). My first impression walking into our room was that I had to move around the fire extinguisher just outside of our door. I then realized that with the fire extinguisher and stairs by the door, if might be the safest room on the floor. I took the duvet off of the bed, as it was just too warm. It would have been nice if a blanket was an option. Not a big deal, as we would still come back and stay here, as it was in a very peaceful location.

Positive: 1) Front desk were friendly and supportive 2) Beatrice from the restaurant where breakfast was served was amazing. She was hospitable, friendly with perfect attention to details. Negative: 1) Selection of food at breakfast was disappointing. There should be a bigger variety of fresh fruits, and quicker replenishment. 2) Toiletries can be improved on e.g. soap, dental kit, body lotion, etc. On a different note, my points balance is over 7,000 and yet my loyalty status is still 'silver'. Can you please explain this. Thanks and regards.

Being a platinum member it was interesting that even a couple of receptionists were available, no one bothered to welcome the people waiting there as well. In the room itself I was surprised to find the outer curtain in a shape that seemed that a cat has attacked it. Same for the piece of cloth in front of the bed. The bed itself was fine, same goes for the breakfast. Except the croissants - We're talking about a french speciality in Paris. The staff at the bar was really nice and welcoming, so that makes the rest of the trip less bad.

Room and bed v comfortable, excellent shower- front of house check in and check out smooth and efficient. Breakfast on first morning was very good, however on second morning almost every hot food container on the buffet was empty and had not been replenished.

I’m Sorry but I’ve been to numerous 5 star hotels because I am a travel blogger and Sofitel has always been one of my favorite hotels to stay at. I decided to stay at one at the Sofitel in Paris this trip, thought I would get the same excellent services and cleanliness that Sofitel usual has to offer. Unfortunately this Sofitel disappointed me.

The hotel is in good condition. Service was very good from all members of staff I met. My room was nice but dated. The bed was very good. Several details were not great however: there was a speaker with an iPod dock that still had a ten-year-old connector; the bathroom door looked super shabby; the air extraction in the bathroom was not working properly. These are things that should be better in a five-star hotel. The hotel gym was a disappointment. It is classy but absurdly small. You need a bigger space. But at the very least you need better equipment. A bar for pull-ups would already be helpful. There was one swiss ball but it did not have enough air. Breakfast was very good.
