« Stay was fine, the initial check in was less than friendly »

The clerk who checked me in seemed to be preoccupied and not welcoming. I received curt answers to my questions, he interrupted checking me in by responding to another guest who had misplaced a bag and wondered if it had been located, and although my colleague received a meet and greet card for drinks and hors d'ouvres after work, I did not. Usually I have a good experience in check in but not this time.

« A bit disappointed this time. »

1. The stall shower leaked a lot onto the bathroom floor. The front desk offered no help other to provide additional towels to mop up the water. The door would not tightly stay shut due to the weakened door hinges. 2. Your do not offer a larger bath soap bar... like other hotels. Shower Gel is not a desired alternative for me. Travelers should not need to bring their own bar soap... which is offered in all the other hotels I have been at.

Upon arrival, I was notified by staff that I had to leave a credit card on file for incidentals, which I was not prepared for as my work had covered the hotel expenses and I did not have a credit card with me to provide as I did not know this would be needed. After a 5 hour flight, the staff could have certainly handled the situation with better care but instead made me flustered and stressed telling me that I was not going to be able to check in. I contacted my company contact who was able to provide her credit card info and get me checked in. Unfortunately, right from the beginning the service was poor and staff did little to make me feel welcome. The numerous times I needed to get a cab the staff were cold and unwelcoming to approach. On the last morning our team attended the morning buffet and the server was flustered and unsympathetic, when we asked for additional coffee mugs she appeared bothered to have to serve us and continued to provide poor service throughout our brunch. I highly recommend the staff undergo customer service training and learn to be more personable as I would not recommend this service to anyone, it was very poor. Alternately, many of the rooms our team were provided with did not have working AC, which in 38 degree heat cannot be happening. None of the rooms have full length mirrors, and my bathroom in particular was far too dark with poor lighting. The room was good overall but could stand some of these improvements.

I love this hotel and location. The only thing that kept me from giving it a 10 was the fact that the air conditioner in my room was not operating properly. We called about it on the second night, and a maintenance man came up to fix it. I was not satisfied at all with him. He basically said the air was blowing so it was working. Well, it was not working. I told him that I wanted him to report that we were not satisfied. When I checked with the desk the next day, they told me the maintenance man said it was fixed. NOT happy at all with that! It was still warm in the room on our third night, but we lived with it since we were leaving the next morning. Otherwise, we were extremely happy with the staff, location and amenities. I would definitely stay there again. The only thing I would do differently is insist on switching rooms immediately at the first sign of a problem with the room.
