The hotel itself is fine and so are the facilities. I called a couple of days before arrival to add on a third adult to the room and was told this was fine. Came to check in on the day and the receptionist told us it would be an extra £15 - which is fine, but at least mention it when you add the third person on in the first place, so you’re not shocked on check in.

Rooms were fairly clean but it looked like tea has been splashed up the wall and not been cleaned off. Also parts of a chocolate bar under the bed. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We stayed here on our wedding night. I had arranged for something celebratory to be out in the room, but there was nothing there. This is very disappointing and feels like we were forgotten and not appreciated as guests. Also, the breakfast most things were empty and did not get filled up even though it wasn't that busy. Probably won't ever stay again.

Hotel clean ...public areas good,very stylish.We were given a room on lower floor of hotel which was puzzling since hotel was very quiet.The corridors down there were a little depressing but rooms clean and comfortable especially for price paid.

« Nice hotel ventilation, parking and service could be better »

Decent looking hotel with a nice reception/lobby area. Had to park on a double yellow line because the car park was full. Ventilation in the room can be improved as the toilet seemed to lack an extraction fan. We were woken by the sound of a fire alarm at about 4am. This caused me to wake up late at 10:30am and so I requested a refund of my payment for breakfast since it was finishing in 30mins but my request was declined. I was understandably not very happy with that decision.

room was on basement level, and found lighting was not good, need to either change style of lighting as shades do not give off enough light and made room feel dingy!, also recent refurbishment is lovely however again if only basement level suggest change of colour for room doors from brown to grey and change skirting colour to match as again gives the impression of dingy and dark.

enjoyed the stay, would just request a reception level or above room, as was in basement and found room very dim, not enough lighting, or change dark lamp shades for lighter ones would be better, great reception and restaurant areas even outside garden area is really nice, little change of use of brown paint on doors to rooms and skirting would greatly improve appearance.
