Dear Craig Really sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. The card does not need to be 'charged" for electricity, you just drop it, or any credit card sized card' in the slot and the electricity comes on, so not sure what the problem was. Third stay. Excellent new decor and usual high service standards. Ideal location near the motorway network and close to where our friends live. Staff on reception always very helpful and welcoming and rooms always very clean and well equipped.

Room good, service good. Very disappointed with the inability to get a taxi in the middle of the day. The contracted taxi firm said 10 or 15 minutes, but had not turned up after 40. We nearly missed the wedding photos at the reception we were going to.

Hello, I'd like to feed back to your customer services my recant experience. I was attending a charity function in aid of cancer at the Worsley Novotel. I entered the function room with my partner, and was greeted at the bar by a sole barmaid. I requested a glass of White Wine and Lemonade, plus a pint of becks lager. The barmaid asked my partner would she like the house wine, which my partner stated yes. I was then charged £9.52 pence. I informed the barmaid to call it £10:00, (£0:48p tip) and gave her a £20:00 note. She returned me a £10:00 note. After a short period, I returned to the bar. There were now an additional barmaid. I approached the bar, and stood quietly in a large space between two couples. The second barmaid, approached me, and asked what I would like. I then repeated my order, and she picked up glass to begin pouring. At this moment, the original barmaid, very abruptly and quite loudly told the second barmaid, 'Not him, serve them, pointing to one of the couples. I waited my turn, and the second barmaid then approached me again. I repeated my order, and she promptly served me. She then stated that the monies owing came to £11:50. I questioned this, and stated that I was only charged £9:52 previously. The barmaid asked the first one, regarding the cost. Again, very abruptly and quite loudly, stated that I was wrong. I stated that I wasn't wrong. Her reply was 'You'd never would of been charged that!' I returned to my table, to get more monies, and returned to the bar to pay for the drinks. I discussed this with others at the table, and my partner said, it could be due to not asking for the house wine. Arrrrr, I thought. So when I returned to the bar, I specifically requested a house white wine and lemonade. The original barmade, again intervened, and again loudly, stated 'We don't have a house wine, all our wines are the same price' I was then charged a different price again. I approached the bar a couple of more occasions, and was served by an addition third barmaid. On both occasions, I was charged £8:75. I'm not actually bothered about the monies. What infuriated me, was the manner I was spoken to by the original barmaid. Each time she spoke to me, she was abrupt, loud, rude, and all in front of other guests, which made me uncomfortable. Basically, It put a damper on my evening. I doubt very much, If I will be returning to that hotel. Regards Chris G.

Our Saturday night stay in a very busy hotel was fine without being wonderful. Our room was located in the “basement” which felt a little isolated. A strong smell of fresh paint was also evident. Separate toilet from the bathroom was not to our liking. Breakfast was substantial if not particularly appetising. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is well sited with excellent access for drivers and bus travellers. the ambiance is very relaxing and the staff very helpful and friendly. our room was well appointed with pleasant view and well insulated regarding the motorway traffic surrounding us, as we heard none of it in our room.
