My stay was compromised by the incompleted renovations, affecting the restaurant and bar areas/ The room was also far too hot with no AC or even built in ventilation. A fan was lent but it wasn't enough. A bit of a disappointment really, particularly at the price. I stayed many times here in the past and it was a lot better.

The bar/restaurant area is being refurbished, why aren't we informed? The room was 25degrees, no A/C in the room and the windows open about 2 inches, no sleep gained at all. Breakfast in a temporary set up area obviously not suitable for requirement. I have been visiting this hotel for many years but this is the last time, I shall find another in the area.

As a group of 10 hens. we had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was clean, the restaurant served really nice food. Although staff had no sense of urgency in a situation where customers were building up. Ease of location. Definitely a recommended place of stay. The only down side was even though we booked as a group we were scattered throughout the hotel. Not ideal.

Hotel ambiance rather soulless. Buffet breakfast poor quality despite being extensive. Dissatisfaction with the breakfast quality was met with a defensive & dismissive approach from the manager, although the cost was refunded. Rooms were clean, staff were helpful. Having stayed in many Accor brand hotels across Europe & the UK, this was certainly one of the poorer experiences.

On arrival I asked how busy was the hotel, very quiet came the answer so I was amazed at being out in the very furthest room from the reception on the third floor, why do Accor often do this? My Accor profile would suggest its not for me.

Dull. The hotel has seen better days and needs updating. The rooms are drab. Somebody had been in my room and had a cigarette and left this burning on the windowsill, even though I had asked a do not disturb notice on the door. Breakfast was expensive and really not great. The tables were damaged and looking shabby and the current breakfast room is not exactly enspiring, I know you are working on the restaurant area but urghh do something about that meeting room.

« Old, dated and smelly »

The room was old and smelled like stale smoke. The toilet was also smelly. Worst of all, the place was crawling with drunk wedding guests and we could hear the music all night. Worst of all, one of them threw up in the lift that we were in. Foul. The only upside was the service at check-in. Otherwise abysmal and I won’t be coming back. Will also think twice about Novotel overall in future. Previously had a good opinion of the brand.

Firstly, the hotel is easily accessed from the motorway. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. Few small things on the floor that had been missed by the hoover. Other than that, a very enjoyable, first time stay.
