« Does it’s job »

Room was what we expecte... clean,very quiet and comfortable but can’t understand why Ibis is no t supplying tea and coffee making facilities at the price range they are competing with. Will also look at other brands first based on this exclusion at Ibis. Also why aren’t big hotel groups providing international tv channels across brands. We stopped in a B&B that had every channel accross Europe,via a tv card, available to clients. Ibis is a big brand and should be able to negotiate great discounts on any products.

Hotel room was exactly what we expected. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived, the bathroom was perfect with great lighting. The air conditioning was on when we arrived which was perfect as it was a very hot day in Paris. Overall, the room was very ideal only wished we had a kettle in our room. Apart from that would highly recommend this hotel for an affordable stay abroad.

« Decent basic hotel with great breakfast! »

The hotel is fine. Our room smelled pretty strongly of chemicals when we got there, but we opened the window and within an hour, it was better. We had also expected our room ready when we got there at 3, but we had to wait until 4, which was disappointing. It was quiet and the breakfast was very good with lots of options.

Overall we found our stay at ibis Paris Canal Saint-Martin to be rather good. The hotel is a little on the small side, but if like us you intend to spend most of the day travelling around Paris then this would not be an issue. The location of the hotel was very convenient - near to bus and metro stops as well as only being a very short distance from Gare du Nord station where the Eurostar comes in. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we found the hotel to be clean and tidy and exactly as you would expect it to be!

« Great stop over for visit in paris »

Overall excellent. Staff very welcoming, really great family room with comfortable beds, air con and lots of charge points. The only negative was weak shower pressure, Lady who works in breakfast area brilliant but overworked and good do with some help to keep up with breakfast demand. Another small issue is we booked inc breakfast rate but on arrival breakfast for our 14 year old was not included. It is in the small print of the booking but this should be made clearer when booking. Overall though a very present stay.

Reception staff were very polite and helpful, with one spending a good 10 minutes worth of her time giving us recommendations of what to do in Paris. Our room was small however perfectly functional, with the exception of the under powered air-conditioning unit.

« A lot to be desired »

Great hotel clean and very nice decor. Very pleasant room. Very poor staff at reception , one of them, just could not be bothered to smile and be welcoming! The following morning, as there was a gentleman at reception with her, she was a different person! Breakfast was the worst one I have ever had! No bread, no croissant, no pain au chocolat, no spoon. Had to wait for food to cook at the back and when the croissants came , they were not done properly, too rushed! The poor girl attending was alone and struggled with the amount of people requesting various things. She was most pleasant and trying hard! The toaster was “out of order...”.this should have been sorted out before that morning! In one word, a shamble!

« I do not recommend. Chaos at breakfast and misleading reservation system. Awful nieghborhood »

This is probably the worst Ibis hotel in which I had the opportunity to stay. Even Ibis Budget hotels are better. Breakfast in this hotel is a failure. There is still something missing and you have to wait for the service to finally bring it. There are missing cups, cutlery, etc. There are probably only a few teaspoons in this hotel. To make yourself a coffee you have to wait until they finally wash a mug. . In addition, the booking system is misleading. It was written that up to 4 children can stay free in a room with their parents. Meanwhile, the lady at the reception decided that with 3 children we have too much one child and forced us to buy an extra room for 150 EUR for 2 nights. In the room, there is also a loud buzz every few minutes at night. I will definitely not stay there again.

We chose ibis Paris Canal Saint-Martin for a several days stay in summertime Paris. Our first requirement was air-conditioning for a fair price. On staying there, we discovered public transport was highly convenient, inexpensive, and safe, even to walk around late at night (in an area that has largely seen better days). This place shows gentrification of the area is well underway without the price hikes that usually accompany significant improvement. The local restaurants/food shops were fine, well attended and reasonably priced.

Room is ready at noon as promised. Simone at front desk was very helpful and we appreciated much. Also enjoyed the two entrance door added security. Walking around surround areas at night should exercise caution; day time is fine. Checkout canal with boat going thru. We enjoyed our stay with modern facilities, aircon and secure.

Accommodation for 2 adults and 3 children was fine for the two days booked. Check-in seemed straightforward and we were presented with breakfast vouchers for five people with our keys. However on departure we were expected to pay for the breakfasts taken by the three children - this was not made clear on arrival or on the original booking at which point the deal should have been made clear. To me and I imagine most rational people a meal voucher entitles a guest to a meal. To assume that a 5 person voucher entitles just two guests to a meal appears to me to be something that needs to be clearly identified at the outset not after the event. The reservation states "SAVER - BED AND BREAKFAST, BED AND BREAKFAST 1 x EUR 138.70 per night 12/07/2018 to 13/07/2018 EUR 138.70 1 x EUR 134.90 per night 13/07/2018 to 14/07/2018 EUR 134.90" It also states "Balance to pay at the hotel EUR 0.00" I feel as if I have been conned.

« Comfortable, clean and modern. »

Very enjoyable. We arrived late Friday night and due to online check in we were able to get our key and go to our room in a matter of minutes. Reception is lovely and clean and modern with ample seating area. The room was cosy but had everything in there that we needed. If I could suggest one thing - it would be more cost hangers for clothes. I was unable to pack any in my hand luggage and had to drape some items of clothing over a chair and my bags.
