It was a short stay this time but the hotel was nice as always. The hotel was fully booked but they arrange me a day use which fitted perfect to my short stay in miami. A special Thanks to Jerry which in a crowded reception made all the difference. The old sofitel employess are really prone to help the guests.

To whom it may concern, I have been communicating with the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel since January 2017. Lance Detotto was my point of contact. He went over every detail with me and had the contract drawn up for the wedding room block. As the wedding date approached wedding guest were calling to book their rooms. On October 10, 2017 a member of the wedding party was having trouble booking a room. So I called the hotel and Marie Yhap/PBX Operator answered the phone and before I could finish my statement she hung the phone up in my face. I called back and asked to speak to a manager which I did who then apologized for the disrespectful encounter. She asked me to put my experience in writing and email to her which I did. Now fast forward to November 25, 2017 Check-in for the wedding. Before we had even arrived there were 3 charges from the hotel already on my account. We had not even checked in. I signed a contract and credit authorization for 1 Presidential Suite and 1 double bed room. My husband signed a credit card authorization form for 3 rooms. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk informed us that the rooms in my husband name were canceled. So he would not have any rooms for the guys in the wedding party. The manager told us the hotel was completely booked and that there was nothing he could do. After my husband stated that no one contacted him to let him know the rooms were canceled. The manager came out and said we will do this if you pay for 2 additional rooms in cash. His third room was already charged to my credit card which was an error on the hotel. So he paid cash for the other 2 rooms. My question is this if the hotel was booked to capacity how did the manager magically get 3 rooms and put the Groomsmen on the same floor next to each other? At this point we have been at the hotel for over 30 minutes when another wedding guest informed me that her room had been canceled as well without notice. At this point my wedding party along with guest and myself are feeling that because we are African American that the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel does not believe are money spends the same way as any other ethnicity. When I get up to the Presidential Suite there is water damage on the ceiling and curtains. There were pieces of drywall from the ceiling on the carpet. (Please see attached photos) I called downstairs to the front desk to inform them all they did was send someone there to look at it for him to tell me that there was nothing he could do and he will send housekeeping to vacuum the drywall up off the carpet. My husband’s room the toilet was overflowing and he called the front desk and they came and handed him a plunger and told him maintenance was not in yet. Another wedding guest in a separate room called the front desk to be moved to another room. They told them that they would move them and never did. These Guest checked out a day early due to the poor customer service. The customer service was a disgrace my wedding party and family members spent a lot of money in your hotel for us to be treated like dogs on the street. I called downstairs for towels and blankets we waited an hour before I walked downstairs to get them myself. As a Bride this should not have been the most stressful part of my wedding. I couldn’t wait to check out of the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel. Now here it is time to check out and I receive a phone call from a wedding guest who already checked stating that she called the hotel because she was told there was a $50 deposit. When she checked her holds they held $102 for 1 room 1 night. The front desk told her “Oh it is just a hold you will get your money back eventually” So now there is a different amount being held depending on who you are? I have never felt so discriminated against in my life. I don’t know if the Pullman Miami Airport is not used to dealing with African Americans or what the problem was with us staying in your establishment but you will NEVER have to worry about us spending another dollar there ever again! When my husband and I went home I called the hotel on November 29, 2017 to retrieve the contact information for the corporate office and Marcia told me that she does not know this information. The Pullman Miami Airport Hotel needs to invest in their staff to be trained in customer service immediately. This was the worst wedding experience. On a day that was supposed to be filled with so many happy moments. The Pullman Miami Airport Hotel ruined my wedding experience.

« Error with room allocation and other problems »

We were allocated a room which had obviously not been prepared for a new arrival. The floor and furnishings were dirty, there was only one towel, no coffee or tea and the room had a nasty smell. We had to spend over 30 minutes sorting this out and getting baggage moved to a new room and felt we were being a nuisance and not like a dissatisfied `Accor member. When asking for a late check out the next day as we were booked on a late evening flight we were given one hour free or pay $50 for 4 more hours despite the problems experienced the previous day. The breakfast hot food selection which we had pre paid left a lot to be desired as well. Despite the hotel having at least 3 airport buses we were left to wait 25 minutes and by then there was a full load with other guests who had to take personal baggage on board the bus to make room for the larger heavier suitcases. One good point was the evening bar staff who were very pleasant and helpful and we had an enjoyable evening dinner. Based on the above we would have to consider booking with another hotel for our next stay.

Very surprised that you charge a fee to hold a package that arrived to the hotel 2 days before I did. All other hotels where I stay don’t do that. In room dining options very limited. Why is mini bar empty? Breakfast choice very limited at 27$

Lovely experience. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and the bar was very nice, too. Our room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. We also spent some time at the pool. Great chaise lounges, so comfortable! The front desk was very helpful, as well. We had a small issue with our shower handle, and it was immediately remedied. When we come back to Miami, we will definitely stay again!

The staff is helpful and extremely polite always ready to help you. I noticed at the end of the survey that I didn't receive any of the loyalty program benefits and on top of that they made me pay for the upgrade and for this reason I am moving my rating from 10 to 6 for the overall experience. Is there anyway to have a credit for the upgrade I paid ?

Being able to have a day room before a late flight was perfect and reception was very accommodating. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable as are lounge areas. Bar menu is far too expensive. No snack option or cheaper drinks available except Starbucks which closes early.

« BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, BUT ROOMS NEED UPGRADING AND BAR STAFF NEED BETTER ATTITUDE »

The hotel reception, bar and pool area look wonderful, but the rooms are in need of upgrade attention. Shower base is slippery and dangerous and bathroom room facilities attention. Carpet could do with a good steam clean and lighting bad. With dark furnishings made it worse. Check in and out were good and staff lovely and airport shuttle very good and driver very helpful.

From the airport pick-up to the drop off the following day, and everything in between, I can only describe as exceptional. The most outstanding part of this were the staff. They provided a service with a smile at all times. It has been a while that I was so relaxed yet all the attention provided was welcomed. The facilities were well appointed, spacious and the atmosphere peasant.
