The hotel was clean and the staffs were pleasant and helpful. The location is close to the airport and conveniently located next to a Tram stop close by. It was easy to get to downtown Zurich. We would be happy to stay at the hotel again.

I was travelling back from holiday and landed quite late so I was very tired and just needed sleep before I then flew again at six am. Although using the priority queue to check in, it took a while and there was no recognition for my status. Except for the drinks voucher. Then when I got to the room it was not cleaned at all. So I had to go back downstairs and ask for another room. Then the guy behind his desk was really apologetic but siad the only room available was a single room not a double. I had booked a double because I wanted a double bed. I mentioned that I had paid for a double and the second guy behind the desk said. Oh they are the same price. But that wasn't my point. I wanted a double bed. Anyway I then accepted the other room because it was 11pm and I needed to be up again at three am. So I got to the room ready to have a shower. Then the shower wasn't working properly. I had to take the head out of the socket as it would not sit properly. Which was doubly annoying. I didn't complain because it was late a night. And went to bed. I had asked the guy behind the desk about the free transfer, the previous evening where he said oh it doesn't start until five am. Even though I told him I was flying at six am. He said we can order a taxi for you. What annoyed was that both the guys didn't offer any recompense for the inconvenience the time wasted and the annoyance for the first time of not getting what I paid for. I understand it was not there fault and he did say he was sorry and would see what he could do for me. But in the morning when I checked out there was no note or anything left for me and he naturally had finished his shift and gone home. So instead of getting the room i booked I got a single room with a faulty shower. The on top of that I had to pay and additional fifty francs for the taxi to the airport. This is the first time I have been unhappy with Novotel.

Very good experience, comfortable rooms and nice staff. However I was disappointed from one situation - I asked the reception to wake me up in the morning as my phone was dead and I didn't have a charger, but they forgot to do it!

In one room we had a leaking shower that meant having to change rooms, in another we had flashing lights at 6am because of a technical fault. We were kindly offered free breakfast as compensation, sadly this lacked enjoyable healthy options. However, the staff were very accommodating and friendly at all times.

The hotel is what one expects close to an airport. Quiet, comfortable bed. Unexciting - both food and surroundings. Adequate. An issue with my booking (my fault) and a very sympathetic reception person who found a room for us. However this Reception was spoiled when at his urging I contacted the Le Club site to see if they would credit back an internet booking. I did read the terms and conditions but following his advice and the fact that my mistake meant we arrived a month EARLY I thought it was worth an email. The reply from someone named “Zakaria” was so rude, condescending and downright insulting that it is my intention to take it further when I resign from “Le Club” on my return home. There are plenty more hotel chains to use!

We enjoyed our mini break at the hotel. Hotel was clean and comfortable although bed are very hard. The staff were very helpful and added additional padding to bed. Reception staff also friendly and happy to assist with directions. Breakfast was fine but thought the restaurant could have offered more substantial dining options, especially with the hotel situated in more of housing area, lacking dining choice. Location is very easy from both city centre and airport which was what we were looking for in our stay. Maybe have some pamphlets on location of restaurant in the area as they are located on back streets

Check-in was quick, no problems experienced there. Room was clean and tidy when we arrived. Variety of the breakfast buffet is not up to standard, some of the dishes were gone and didn’t get refilled even an hour before the end of breakfast time. Our biggest headache was caused by the fact that the staff couldn’t seem to cope with our 3-night stay that was made up of two bookings (this was because we wanted to take advantage of a special offer on the AccorHotels site). It seemed like they got confused, and the booking system got messed up somehow, then they called us on our room phone, and I ended up liaising with them at the reception at 11:30PM. They also couldn’t see that the bookings were paid in advance on the AccorHotels site and questioned that as well. The next morning when we checked out we needed to do all these rounds again with another member of staff. All in all, it was quite a hassle, luckily we had printed all our booking confirmation emails beforehand, so at least we had some proof in our hands.

The room was fine and standard, what I expected. But my room key card didn't work. I went down to reception, queued, was given another card, it didn't work. I went down to reception, queued, and was given another card, it didn't work again. Someone came up and let me in and said the problem would be fixed, so I went for dinner. Came back to the room, it was not fixed. Went down to reception, queued, and someone then brought me up and let me in. The solution was that each time I left my room I was supposed to ask someone from reception to let me into my room. Please!!!

The facilities and room (although a little small) were extremely clean and excellent. The bed and pillows - very comfortable. The design was modern and made us feel welcome. The complementary breakfast was excellent!!!! Probably the best I have ever had. We were a bit disappointed as we couldn't get food at 11:30 pm unless we ordered something online, as the restaurant had already closed. I struggled to figure out how to order online and even though staff wasn't impolite, they did not come across as particularly friendly (from a US Mid-Westerner's perspective) and outside of giving us the web site on which to place the food order, no one seemed to want to help further. I had read some reviews online about issues with airport shuttle service, which was the reason I chose it. I had emailed the hotel prior to arrival to ask about the shuttle service. Three times. no response. Fortunately, we had great experience with the shuttle, which was outside the airport and departed shortly after we arrived (11:10 pm). I also notified the front desk that we would need a shuttle service the next morning. My name was written down and I was given a ticket. I was informed the shuttle runs every 30 min in the morning but sometimes can get full so it is best to register. Also, I emailed with a billing question (which ended up being oversight on my part and no action was needed), however, once again, i never received a reply. So overall - great experience from the facilities/breakfast/shuttle service but not the greatest communication. We would consider staying there again.

Overrated and aged rooms. I payed for the shuttle bus to the airport although it was mentioned to be complimentary. Breakfast buffet was not sufficiently filled up. Showerhose was spraying in all directions and the bathroom did not smell fresh (sink ?). The windowlock was broken. Average room and not at all what i am used of at Novotel 4 star rated hotel.
