Very comfortable overnight stay, in spotless room. Well located, with on site restaurant serving evening meals and breakfast. We did not use this facility, so we cannot comment on the quality of the food served.

I tried to book via the AccorHotels website. I completed the booking form (including my Club Accor Number 30… 48… 3) I pressed send and everything went blank. NO Acceptance screen with booking number was received. Nor was there a confirmation e-mail next day. I wrote an e-mail direct to the hotel to ask about the booking - and received NO ANSWER. So I concluded there was no booking. Two days later I booked via Booking .com without any problem. On arrival at the hotel I found that there were TWO bookings. So I have paid twice. Please arrange repayment of the first "Failed Booking

We’ve used the hotel on two occasions. We use as a stop off on arrival in France from Cherbourg or prior to departing from Cherbourg. Lovely room with ample parking. Great restaurant near by too.

We arrived in the evening for just 1 night. The room wasn't cleaned properly with a lot of dust and hair from the previous guests. We cleaned a bit ourselves since we only stayed 1 night. Furthermore, there were not enough towels and one of the main lights in the room had a broken started due to which it made a lot of noise and turned on and off every few seconds. Next to this the airco didn't work even when we put it on the max cooling and max ventilation. As we arrived late and wanted to sleep, we didn't report it to get it fixed immediately. Finally, in the morning, the breakfast area was very crowded and we had to wait a while before there was a table available. The tables weren't cleaned and were very sticky from previous guests having spilled some cereal. I guess the tables aren't cleaned because of the fact that the breakfast is a self-serving one with serving trays. Furthermore, the breakfast was very simple for a 3 star hotel and even compared to all the other ibis hotels I stayed in already. Overall, I would never return to this hotel, it is definitely not a 3 star hotel and possible the F1 hotel across the street will have a similar room for a much cheaper price.

The hotel is always very clean and organised and the rooms are a good size with excellent beds. Whilst sitting outside after eating, we had to go inside because of the cigarette smoke, too many people smoking.

Not up to UK Ibis standard

I have stayed in several Ibis hotels in UK and have always been satisfied which is why I chose Ibis Avranche. However I was disappointed. The room had a very stark shabby feel and the worst part was that the air conditioning was not working on a very hot day which made for an uncomfortable night. A fan was supplied which did help but the noise of it was disturbing. Also the bed was not the usual king size found in UK. I normally stay at Kyriad you n Europe and find them of a better standard.....and cheaper

Rated down your review - NO AIR CONDITIONING - as under repair, No Message to say so, only found out when entering hot sun drenched room. Opened the window, which would have brought the temperature down to comfortable, only to hear EXTREME TRAFFIC NOISE. Moved to another room, but still no A/C. If you had told me I would have gone to your Hotel west of Mont Saint Michel. COMMUNICATION that Work/Repairs were in progress??? You could do a lot better.

Once we'd found it, it was fine but it is difficult to find. Most Ibis hotels are clearly visible from the main roads and our satnav couldn't find it either. However, it is obvious that this is one of the older Ibis hotels and the newer ones have slightly better-sized rooms. However, it is so easy at an Ibis that we will continue to book.

However, we are limited by French legislation for all pre-signs: "An operator wishing to install, replace or modify a derogatory or temporary out-of-town sign (or in an agglomeration of less than 10,000 inhabitants that is not part of an urban unit of more than 100,000 inhabitants) must complete certain conditions, in particular regarding the dimensions and positioning of the billboard, and only to indicate certain strictly defined activities: the sale of local products by local companies; cultural activities: live or cinematographic shows, teaching, art exhibitions for example the historical monuments open to the visit. " Once again, we thank you for your comments and hope you understand that this concern for localization is beyond our control. This was a good overnight stop. Staff were polite and efficient. Restaurant offering though limited was good quality and reasonably priced. The comfortable bed facilitated a restful night. Breakfast was satisfying with good quality fresh ingredients.
