We were arriving late so called ahead to ask about restaurant closure times, parking, etc. and got all the information we needed from a very polite and cheerful lady from Chicago, which gave me a welcome break from trying my holiday French. We missed the restaurant, but had a very nice bottle of St Emilion from the bar. The hotel is in an excellent location, but felt more functional than luxurious. However it was very well priced and we had a complimentary mini-bar, dressing gowns, etc., which were nice.

Room needs refresh (shower old and weak, dirty carpet, curtain falling down in room)and was not possible to make fully dark which is problem when you want to have children sleep in the evening.

Great stay. Hotel in great location with a short walk to shops and restaurants. Staff friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Buffet breakfasts lovely and a good variety of food. Room service was excellent. Rooms were lovely and clean. Only downside, no safe in room.

Your Reception team were very kind in arranging a quiet room for me, as I'm a pensioner and a very light sleeper. Appreciated . On after thought: I found the kettle in the room very helpful, and noted that it was 800w "Green Choice" from Manusec, who seem to me to be located in Villepreux (78450) France, south west of Paris. I would very much like to buy one, but it seems to me that Manusec would only sell in quantity, to hotels direct. => this QUESTION: Would it be possible for me to buy one 800w electric kettle from you next time, please, and if so for what sort of price? Very satisfied with room overall but a walk in shower would’ve been preferred due to stiff knees! Breakfast teabag would also be appreciated as we don’t drink earl gray nor fruit tea. The bed was perfect and extra pillows were welcome.

Very good on the whole but hated the shower in room 258. The water escapes so easily from the shower tray and the shower was always only lukewarm. It was a bad experience using it. The bedroom lighting was very dark, we could hardly see to read.

This was a group booking for which I was responsible. We had two late booking which were charged at a much higher rate than the group booking rate for everyone else. There were no potatoes served in our breakfast room. There were insufficient members of staff available to replenish food items. The packed lunches prepared for us on Saturday were given to another group. We were eventually provided with food but it was not individually packed. Two members of our party were vegetarian. They informed you at reception on arrival. Their needs for the packed lunches or dinner were not catered for. We booked a private room for dinner on Saturday evening but this occasion was spoiled through: Insufficient staff. Cold food (that should have been hot). Staff were clearing tables before people had finished eating. Ill-tempered staff began noisily clearing furniture whilst the room was still being used. Tables were poorly dressed (no table cloths and cheap napkins for example). This was exacerbated by having to walk past the well-dressed dinner tables of another group in the main atrium. The air conditioning (on the hottest day of the year) was inadequate and the staff informed us that they did not have access to the control room to adjust it. I shall enter "friends" in the field below even though we were an organised group (coach party) which, by the way, will be visiting Normandy again.

From the moment we checked in we we thrilled with the hotel. The lady in check in was fantastic and had offered us an upgrade to the room as it was our anniversary. Had a great breakfast, was given suggestions on what to visit in Caen and our bags were looked after whilst we took time to collect our hire car.

The 2 rooms were very comfortable (225 & 227). The breakfast was good but not worth 17 Euros normally charged - we paid 8 Euros for our Continental breakfast after discussion with the helpful manager. The garage facility was secure and reasonably charged. There were 2 maintenance items evident. The seal on the bottom of the shower door in 227 was ineffective causing water to leak onto the floor. The toilet flush kept running wasting water in 227.

It took me 30 min to park since the hotel parking was "complete". When checking in, they told me I should have used the parking. Surprisingly, the parking is not complete, it is that they put the "complete" label to avoid others using it. The result is the same, we don't use it. This is absurd.
