Very enjoyable - very clean, comfortable room, fabulous roof top pool and bar - but it is your TEAM that make this such a welcoming hotel, every member of your staff were polite, helpful and so friendly - travelling alone this was very important and very much appreciated.

I traveled to participate in an meeting, to be held at the Novotel Hotel in Athens from 26th to 28th June. On the morning of my last day of my staying, I puted all my things on my baggage and left the baggage on the room. Not to forget, I did not leave it in the safe of the room and left my watch on the table of the room. I leaved the room and went directly to the meeting room(on the hotel), where I stayed until lunchtime. After the lunch(on the hotel) I went again directly to the meeting room where I stayed until 18h00. I went directly to my room where I soon noticed that my watch was missing. Soon I noticed I went to hotel desk and reported to hotel manager. She immediately took note of my complaint and on her initiative called the maid and asked her if she had seen the watch. The maid said no. After that, she asked for my contacts and sayed that if they found anything they contact me after, but that they could not do anything else.

Please kindly be informed that the maid saw personnal belongings on the desk of your room 506 and didn't clean the desk or touched to your belongings since it is not alloweded. In addition, we would like to reassure you that we never had such types of problems with our personnel. Our team is entirely trustworthy and reliable. The General Housekeeper searched meticulously all your room and unfortunately didn't find your watch. Of course, when a personnal belonging is found, we immediatly inform the client and send it to him. However, if we ever find your watch we will contact you at once. Please also come back to us if you find it so we can stop our efforts to find it. « Usual standards, a little out of the way. »

It's a shame the hotel was just outside the "taxi-ring" meaning the driver went by the meter, not using the flat rate. about an extra €10-15. The welcome drink was one of the best we've had - plenty of options - not just the usual house wine or beer. We didn't get a chance to see the pool. the restaurant had an outdoor area, which was away from the busy restaurant inside. The room only had instant coffee- which is now no longer acceptable. Coffee pods are cheap and simple and should be standard. There was no complimentary water.

From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a welcome guest, by the enthusiastic check in staff. Quiet room at back of hotel. Friendly room attendant who did a great job cleaning my room. Well stocked bathroom, mini bar and comfortable bed. Lovely lobby bar and pool bar, with very attentive bar staff. Excellent meal at Clare D’Lune restaurant by very professional waiters. Amazing breakfast buffet, and also City breakfast, always a highlight of my many stays at the Novotel Athenes’.

We asked for flower decoration in room so it was our honeymoon trip and we did not get anything. Not very good area in Athens. Around 20/25 minutes walking from monastiraki and plaka. Rooms are basic, breakfast was ok. Pool closes early in the afternoon.
