« Failed to visit the Hotel due to a cancelled CANCER appointment. »

Due to a last minute cancelled Cancer appointment by the hospital CHU Haut-Laveque nearby, the stay in the hotel was no longer required. As the only option made available at the time of booking was a non-refundable payment by credit card the money was lost. A more flexible charging arrangement is needed at a more reasonable price.

« Very well positioned, very good choice to break a journey »

Very happy with bedrooms, which appear to have been updated since we last stayed [including bathrooms]. The exterior of the hotel would put a passing traveller off, I think, because it is badly in need of painting - the outside certainly does not reflect the bright, cheerful and clean interior, with competent, friendly staff. However, we find the Ibis group very good in general. We haven't tried the restaurant, mainly because there is a choice of restaurants on the same site. We would certainly continue to use this particular Ibis hotel, and would recommend it to others.

« Disappointing »

Whilst the staff were both helpful and friendly the hotel itself lacked the usual feeling we have experienced in other IBIS hotels. We found it a very noisy hotel both from external and internal noise. It did not help having a room by the lift. The author conditioning was fixed on hot which became extremely uncomfortable. Finally the choice of food lacked any imaginaction and frankly disappointed by the hotel experience.

Good staff welcome, good service and rooms as always excellent. Have used Ibis for many years both for business and pleasure and I must say the standard has improved even though it was good many years ago. An added advantage is that pets are allowed.

« old ibis hotel that needs renovation »

Everything looks old in this hotel .... small room, old paint on the walls, condensation on the windows, need renovation. No coffe or tea in the room. The best part is that the hotel have an free parking

« Uusual high standard I expect from Ibis »

Everything was fine, nice room, decent dinner and a good breakfast. Good that there was a restaurant in this hotel. Efficient and friendly staff. In a good location for Merignac airport but far enough away to not be bothered by the aircraft noise. My only concern was that on booking a sum of £116.36 was taken on 8th October when I merely gave my card details to secure my room, as I have done for at least twelve years, and have never been debited any money from my account. On leaving my card was debited with a further £114.53. I understand that the first payment will be refunded but after a month! Not really acceptable as my card payment will be due before then. Normally I pay with my French card but this time I used my English card which may be the reason. Not happy about this but will still use Ibis. Having said that when I contacted the hotel to clarify this they were very helpful and reassuring that it was not a case of card fraud which I had suspected.

« It was acceptable for what we needed which was a one night stay to break our journey. »

The staff were helpful and the breakfast good, however we found the room decor very poor and the single bed uncomfortable. As stated we only needed the stay briefly overnight but would not consider this hotel for a longer stay.

due to a vehicle breakdown near the hotel we stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are small but well appointed and very clean. The staff are friendly and also many spoke English which was of assistance to us. It's location near the main ring road around Bordeaux is an attraction to those looking for an overnight stop.

« Delightful stopover »

After long journey from Spain, stopped at the Ibis Bordeaux Pessac for the night, check-in was painless and quick - room was comfortable and clean, when we found a small problem with a sink the reception sorted in out in less than 5 mins. Despite being ideally sited just off the Ring road the hotel is quiet, and the food at dinner was great, maybe a little pricey but you couldn't fault the quality or service - will definitely stay again (this was our 4th or 5th stay in the Ibis Pessac) we've tried a few others nearby but this one is the best.
