Functional bedroom; bathroom lacked tissues and a shelf in the shower. The quality of the meat at dinner was appalling, and triggered a complaint to the restaurant manager.

Typical Ibis, but, more expensive than the excellant Novotel we stayed at in Lyon the previous night. The restaurant has adopted a very dissapointing Italian theme and worse in the Pessac part of Bordeaux, no french wines available on the menu.

Room too small even for basic gym. Not enough electric plugs (only one - I had to unplug the TV !) Very noisy if I open the window Very noisy if I close the window (we hear all in the neighboring rooms). Found belongings from previous customer (briefs). Quick check-out took me time: I Had to call again to get my invoice. Soap in the bathroom does not tell explicitly enough that it does not contain paraben or endocrinian pertubators. Plus points: Staff was friendly and room was other wise clean.

When we first entered the room, there was a stale odour. We kept the window open until we left. We decided to eat in the 'New Italian' restaurant. Bad idea! The food was not good. Quite disappointed overall, as we often stay in Ibis hotels and find them generally pretty good.

Other than check in, we found the staff to be rude and dismissive. There was an attempt to overcharge is for a bottle of wine.

« OK - but room for improvement »

It was ok as we were staying for only 1 night but we may have complained if staying for longer. There were issues with the room, some which could have been easily resolved prior to our arrival. Two bulbs had gone, onecin the bathroom & one in the bedroom. Also the shower attachment did not tighten so it was not possible to shower without holding the shower head. I would have thought the chamber maids would check & report such things daily. Please note these issues were only in regard to room 100 which we stayed in on 30.08.18. Our room on 18.08.18 (room 115) did not have such problems however during both stays we found the air conditioning very poor & very noisy to say it wasn't really blowing out cool air. We had to sleep with the window open - also noisy but at least we had some air. On the plus side, check in & check out was great, very smooth & we had a lovely evening meal at your restautant. The breakfast was also good, nice variety, although some of the fruit was a bit poor quality. Based on the above comments I can only rate the overall stay as average.

Disappointed to find that the restaurant was not available on arrival (we'd booked months ago) - luckily there are a few other options nearby. But limited picnic breakfast... Air-con in the room was noisy.

« Good value hotel »

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions en route to and from UK & Spain. Recently refurbished and is now bright, modern and welcoming. Rooms are a little small but fine for an overnight stop or two. One advantage for us is the large expanse of grass area to the side of the hotel where we can exercise our dog. Very good value for dog owners as charge is just 5 euros compared to 15 euros in Ibis hotels in Spain! Very efficient reception and bar staff. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good quality and good value too. Restaurant was very busy but the staff managed to serve everyone in good time. When booking we requested a room on an upper level with a walk in shower and our request was granted.

Although main area of hotel hasn't changer, rooms certainly have. Clearly there appears to be a downsizing in respects of the accommodation. Bed, while comfortable, was cramed into the room and second occupant had to climb from bottom of bed to get in!! Moreover, there was no second bedside table. The shower room was good but door didn't close properly. No facilities for 2 people to sit.

« pleasant one night stay in excellent accommodation »

Very comfortable room, clean and excellent facilities. Excellent meal in restaurant in evening. We had booked breakfast but unable to have the meal as 2 coach loads of people had arrived in the evening and it was impossible to access breakfast area. In the evening the hotel had arranged a separate eating area for these groups. A similar arrangement should have been made for breakfast. We have stayed here before and will do again.

Even though the outside appearance of the hotel isn't the best, inside it is very comfortable. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable, staff is extremely friendly and professional and the breakfast was very good.
