« No as good as previous time we were there »

Room quiet dusted. I informed reception but they didn't do anything. Also when we checked out, we returned a iron, iron board and an adapter. I passed the iron and iron board to the person at reception and also I extended my hand with adapter to what she replied " I have only to hands" I think that is lack of professionalism to talk like that to a customer.

The room was clean, sufficiently spacious and comfortable. In general the hotel staff were polite and helpful. On the evening of our first stay at the hotel, the restaurant shown on the hotel's web site was closed. When we queried this we were told by a bar person that there was only one restaurant: the area around the bar. This was baltantly untrue. We could see the restaurant and it was closed. To refer to the area around the bar as a second restaurant is ridiculous. It is furnished and decorated like a MacDonald's so barely merits the description of cafe. On our second stay there, the restaurant was being used for a wedding reception with loud music blasting into the bar area, adding insult to injury. If we had known of an alternative restaurant we would have gone there, but we were in transit and not familiar with the area, which is why we selected a hotel with a comfortable restaurant - according to its web site. Overall, from the F & B aspect, thoroughly disappointing.

« Little escape in Madrid »

I stayed at the Novotel puente de la Paz for two night with a friend, at the first once I realized that It was kind far from the city center I thought to change, but the kindness of the stuff and all the services that just a Novotel can provide make me stay. In addiction get to city center by public transportation it's not that hard and in case the taxes and not expensive at all. Breakfast was great, a lot of choices, I'm afraid that it could be a little bit expensive for the place. Room very clean, and the housekeeping it's always available, negative point I had to come down at least four time to make my card reactivated. Grossomodo I really enjoyed my stay, a great thanks to stuff.

Big rooms and super comfortable bed and bedding. Reception staff were very helpful with a couple of my requests... They took care of everything.Breakfast buffet was fantastic, but pre-book and you'll save a few €.Not to mention a free chilled beer on arrival,a very welcome gift.Thanks everyone oh forgot to mention, loved my few days in Madrid as tourist.

« old, mouldy, below-average hotel with a terrible elevator »

The carpets and bathrooms show significant use and lack of investment on the side of Accor. The carpets are full of stains and there was mould in the bathrooms during our stay. Also the elevators have been terrible at being reliable for the past three years in a row. Why do you not change them? Lanes at breakfast still incredibly long. All in all, very very unpleasant to stay in a old, used and unpleasant Novotel.

I really had a great experience at the hotel. Clean rooms , buffet breakfast was great it had plenty to choose from. The staff were very friendly and I felt very welcomed. The only down side was the pool because it’s too small for the big hotel so it was hard to go for a swim, having said that we were lucky on the last day the pool wasn’t very busy and we enjoyed the swim.

We were at this hotel for a four night stay, me and two kids and we were not disappointed, the staff went above and beyond for our comfort. They made us feel so welcome and good English was a bonus . The food, the swimming pool just great. Inma at the reception was fantastic, and all of them really were very good even though I forget all their names! Will be back for sure. Thanks again Novotel!

« Staff great, room not so! »

Very nice staff and lobby area. Unfortunately the room on 1st floor where we were staying very outdated, mattress very uncomfortable as was sofa bed kids were sleeping on. I am at Ibis Styles in La Rochelle and room although smaller is better because bed much more comfortable. Could do with a refurb in Madrid.
