Rooms were nice, breakfast was okay (did love the waffle maker though!). We weren't really impressed with the staff (esp. front office) since they did not give us any information. Since we're not from Belgium we had some questions about public transport. Unfortunately, they could not give us the answers we needed. They did not even tell us where we could find our room and where and at what time we could have breakfast. Special credits to Wendy (Waitress)!! She was the kindest person we have met on our trip! Although the food in the restaurant wasn't very special, she made sure we had a great evening.

« A very convenient and comfortable place at which to stay for our first visit to Gent »

Reception staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly, the housekeeping staff as well! The room was quiet and maintained to a high degree of cleanliness and neatness. Having a garage on the premises was a boon for us as we were travelling in Europe by car. One "niggle" was that, while appreciating your concern for sustainability in providing cardboard beakers in which to serve the morning tea/coffee, perhaps it would be more desirable to supply porcelain cups which can be easily hold the hot coffee without "burning" one's hand. Looking around the room for information on Gent, this was found - after a couple of days - in small pocket attached to the side of the fridge compartment, a difficult place to find if the inner door to the room (# 105) is open most of the time! Where there is a plethora of information about the town/city, surely this could be incorporated in a large folder on the desk? Otherwise a very pleasant stay in the Novotel Gent Centrum and we look forward to returning.

-staff at reception was very helpful - rooms need update not four star quality especially bathroom - we choose hotel for the possibility to have an early breakfast at 6.30 h breakfast was not ready until about 7 h - poor quality especially the bread

Great experience, we did online check in so when we arrived our key to our room was ready for collection. Reception staff were very informative and friendly and we were given a city map and tour guide which was really helpful. All great staff from housekeeping to bar and restaurant couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly or attentive. We will certainly return to this hotel if and when we re visit Ghent.

The room was clean and tidy, the facilities were good and the bed was good too. I asked for a quiet room and I got one, so that was good. I did the online check in prior, but when I arrived there wasnt at system, that was one fault. The breakfast said was included, but at list said, excluded, what cause a little stress but at end was. The breakfast at first day - Monday - was excellent! Fresh orange juice, fresh fruits and good options in cheese. On Tuesday, no cheese, the juice was concentrate and the fruits were all "green", no way could eat when they are like this. On Wednesday, we decide to try again but was still "basics", no extra cheeses, the juice and bad fruits...

I don't feel the urge to stay again. There were insufficient amenities in the bathroom, the bed was hard as a rock, an ironing board would not be delivered to my room (I had to go get it myself). There are other hotels around that have the same price but better service.

We went in Novotel Ghent for a 2 days meeting . The hotel was very confortable and we enjoy our staying. Also breakfast was very good, with a lot of fresh food and specialities. The spaces for the meeting were very elegant and well lightened. The coffee break and lunch points were very nice and full of delicious things.
