« No shuttle bus waiting at the airport & my confirmed room was given to someone else »

Dear Sirs, normally i have only good experience in Ibis Douala. I had to decide on short notice to visit Douala and my colleagues arrived 2 days earlier on site so they booked directly for me. Wednesday evening, they checked with the reception at 22:30 to avoid any missunderstanding and the hotel confirmedmy room for 19/20/21 and shuttle bus for 4:50 morning of 20th.we decide to pay the night of 19-20 because i will arrive early morning. To our surprise: -we landed earlier than expected and i was at 4:45 outside but no shuttle bus. I had to call the hotel and they arrived at 5:15. - i arrived at the hotel and here i was chocked: no room for me and they started to give me one room which was long time out of service... as platinum member, they treated me in a very unpleasant way and i had to wait at the lobby until 7:45 to get the room and my meeting was 9 am. No rest ..

When checking out of the hotel, the hotel's credit card machine was apparently down. It took my colleague about an hour to check out. Despite the fact that his room was already paid for. After 30 minutes of attempting to use my credit card -- I left the hotel with my credit card with the understanding they would charge me for my stay when their machine started working again. To my surprise, I looked just now at my credit card bill and note that you OVERCHARGED me by 60.23 Euro. I reserved on the Accor site (which by the way was apparently not the lowest available price as advertised; my colleague who reserved via a travel agent actually paid less) for 338.70 Euro. You charged me 398.93 Euro. This is unacceptable. And I'm about to file a complaint with my credit card company - blocking this payment. We almost missed our flight because of this fiasco. I've stayed with you several times in Douala in the past; I also recommended 3 other colleagues stay in this hotel this time; due to our checkout experience, they were not pleased. Despite being a very short stay, I appreciated the friendly environment from the security guards to the hotel staff. Diner and breakfast were good, Just missed the Wednesday event making the whole place more lively and slight disappointment regarding my late pick up time from the airport as a result of miscommunication. Overall good experience..
