The hotel staffs were so professional and polite especially Christina at the front desk. Everything in the hotel was spot on. Rooms very clean and all complimentary accessories available. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen with too many options , hats up to the breakfast chef, always smiling to serve you. Family friendly hotel too with 24 hours taxi rank make it so accessible to get you anywhere. Am very please with my stay and will definitely recommend and visit again. Thsnks to all the wonderful staffs !!!!

« Lower than average for a Novotell »

- Even though a accor gold member I was not allowed to check in before noon - Wifi bandwith, especially on the floors - is poor, worst in the evenings. Better at the reception, but no plans to sleep at the reception ... - Everything is fairly worn (furniture, carpets) and in need of refreshment - Overall lower than average for a Novotel - Overall better than average breakfast

The hotel room was cold and there is no heating and I try to borrow a heater and there is no one like that. The bath sink is not draining and smells. Staff attitude is not very pleasant. Telephone in the room does not have any instruction in terms of calling to lobby and outside. You have to figure out yourself. I guess they don’t want you to call them. Cleaning staff don’t knock or they knock but can’t wait to walk into room without waiting for me to invite them.

« A super place to stay »

We chose the Novotel as you always know what you are going to get and we were not disappointed. It was well placed- the metro is a 10 min walk as is El Corte Ingles, the large Spanish department store but the area is quiet. The breakfasts were excellent and we also had dinner in the restaurant one night and that was excellent too and very reasonably priced.

« Very old Hotel on his base structure - could not sleep at all »

Whilst the Hotel is nicely refurbished from the inside, unfortunately all the rooms have an odd shape with a small.window you cannot properly open to get some fresh air and hardly light in. The aircon is only for cooling with a noise that does not allow you to sleep. Breakfast was great, also the restaurant, but without a restful sleep you can’t really enjoy it. Therefore I would never ever stay there again.

Rain pan shower didn’t work. No water to drink. Very stiff bed Hole needs desperate renovations. Clean room. Just wasn’t worth the cost charged.

Three adults travelling on a short break to Lisbon. Room was great, clean and very comfortable. We had breakfast as part of the package and there was plenty of choice. The cooked breakfast was very nice but unfortunately was cold every morning and at busy times it took a very long time to replace food. Also there were 3 of us in the room but only 2 cups and only enough coffee and tea for 2 people. We also had to contact reception when we arrived as there were only enough pillows for 2 people. These are just minor issues as we all enjoyed our stay in the Novotel.

« Stained and unhygienic carpets »

Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful as we had several problems with our stay. Overall the hotel needs refurbishment and is not up to 4 star standard. We have stayed at this hotel several times and can notice the decline from our first stay more than 10 years ago. The windows in our room did not shut and we were disturbed by the noise from airplanes at the nearby airport, air conditioning did not work, carpets in rooms and corridors need to be urgently changed, full of stains and tears, very unhygienic. We were embarrassed at taking our friends with us to this hotel as they also had many problems. We will not be returning.

Carpet in the hotel room was dirty, card lock doesnt work properly, pool area was closed even in the end of the season was many days. Friendly staff, good parking and very nice snack bar in the lobby.

« Nice rooms but difficult with payments »

The room was nice and very large, the bathroom had a rain shower in the bath, and the restaurant food was very good. The breakfast food was great, too. I did not like the payment system, though: I had to pay myself 6 weeks before my business trip, instead of at the check-out (apparently for a 'special rate' but this was not clear when booking) and when I arrived, they immediately asked for a 60 euro deposit 'in case you will use the minibar or restaurant', like I would be a not paying criminal, instead of asking if I had a good journey. I also had to show the exact same credit card to show I did not forge anything (they said). In my room the safe was broken during the whole stay, but I could use one at the reception desk (often long queues). However, when I came there for the second time, they accused me of not having returned the key the first time. After 5 calls and discussions they found it in their own office, but no excuse (I did get apologies during the check-out, luckily). The cleaning service entered my room twice without knocking on my door, the first time around 8.15h A.M. The breakfast queue took over 10 minutes for a seat, having to wait under a loudspeaker box with loud pop music. My room was adjacent to the elevators, which you could hear day and night, every time they were used. Planes were flying very low but inside you could not hear them, which was nice.

Generally I was satisfied with my staying in this hotel, however few things made my experience worse: 1. Wifi signal - absolutely poor quality, unable to do anything from hotel room. I have to use data of my cell phone instead. I reported this to reception and nothing has been done at all 2. Issue with bill - when I checked in, I asked lady at the reception if they can make a final bill with one line per day as "accommodation" that would include both room and breakfast, she have committed they are able to do it. However at the end, on my check out, they said it's not possible. If they would tell me at the beginning I would not take a breakfast.

« Good option for short staying in Lisbon.... »

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. There is a metro station just a few blocks, 5 minute walking. The only problem I had was with the shower which was not wroking properly, they have fixed in the first day but it didn't work again in the last day.

Not great, we didn't think the room was that clean, there weren't enough bathrobes and the water didn't get replaced. We also waited 20 minutes to get served a drink on Saturday night and in the end left as we could see service wasn't going to happen.
