« Great and beautiful hotel in good location »

This hotel is amazing and very beautiful, with a great staff, most of them. The location is good, well located near good restaurants and service shops. The breakfast has the best coffee that i had, with a good selection of fruits, breads, deserts, pancakes, hot meals and more. The only downside of this hotel is the restaurant, the same that offers the breakfast, the staff its NOT good and they don't have so many options, it's good for a happy hour but will cost you, go to local restaurant instead of order some delivery food, like Uber Eats.

Checkin was good and quick. Room was neat and clean, but a little warm. The hotel is beautiful, with a good staff, some of them are very friendly, some not. Breakfast is amazing but it lacks some vegan options, if you are not Vegan, you will be ok.

Novotel is near metro and you can go to El Corte Inglés on foot. You also use the metro service to go to other Lisbon attractions. The hotel has an excellent bar and the room is very cozy. I love to stay here.

Restaurant service on Saturdy was appalling since we were forgotten by staff and left in an unserviced corner - then we were told they were busy and generally the staff was not sorry or anxious. There were no apologies. We left after 14:00 only to find that the room was not ready and so there was no coffee in the tray. NO access before 14:00. should mean a later access after that time. Front desk and restaurant manager could not deal with it, simply by offering a belated meal. The front desk supervisor then said the room had been ready, then said the room was being made ready, then Front desk said she had not taken care of it herself when I personally checked upstairs and she said she had been misled by her junior colleague. Front desk claimed it was policy to get room ready up to 18:00 We declined the offer of a free meal. I asked for the Portuguese national complaints book and with the attitude of Front desk I then asked for the Duty manager. Front desk knew he was absent and went through the charade of keeping me waiting and then saying he was absent. I was told he was absent from 14:00 an dit s 14:17 at that time. It is current practice to have no Duty Manager The duty manager should be important and a designated employee should be in place. What are the rules? The duty manager, who introduced himself as Nuno, 'phoned the room and offered no explanations for what was happening but offered a free meal for an apology. We had no appetite to go back to the restaurant and to all that lack of care at all levels. We declined and ate elsewhere, leaving the hotel on a most inhospitable night. The weather was bad and taxis missing - but not your worry. The next morning the junior person at front claimed that the only payment to be made was for the tourism tax and parking. I protested that I did not accept the meal from the previous Friday night where there were no problems. She said she had no instructions and that the bill was a presented. The Front desk of the previous day kept in the back ground

Hotel is perfect for the families. Spacious and most important - quiet room. Very clean. Good breakfast. Only minus for sofa bed. Very uncomfortable for our kids. I believe it could be replaced if asked the staff. We were late and tired so did not bother. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.Overall pleasant short stay and will definitely stay there again.

The room was ok, but could really need some repairs. The gym area is good in comparison to other Novotels. Breakfast is very diverse, but it is really missing some oatmeal. Usually you can find it in any hotel. The restaurant and bar is also good. The bar could need some better gin like monkey47 or berliner brandstifter and some good tonic like fever tree.

« Poorest service I've ever experienced in any accor group establishment »

Poor service from front desk and not accommodating. Rooms were uncomfortably hot (in both rooms, we were switched to a different room the second night.) On our fourth night in lisbon we booked with the ibis across the street and recieved far better service than what we experienced at novotel. (Room temperature were also comfortable at ibis. We expect a better experience from novotel when it is more expensive than ibis.) Very disappointed and unusual for an accor hotel.

The hotel was adequate and would have been a reasonable 2-3 star hotel stay. I often stay in IBIS hotels that appear nicer than this one. There was nothing terrible about the stay but I booked the Novotel intending to have nicer accommodation but it was not up to the standard of other Novotel hotels I have stayed in in other countries.
